So, yesterday I tried to install the apk of L camera, with no success. I got stuck in the first menu, when you need to press "install". I start to think that the problem was with the app and not with the android. But today I tried to install de google play services and I had the same problem.
Stock Android L without root.
I'm the only one?
...and the error is?
Not all apks are installable by the way. Some need to be put in /system

thanks, I click on Install and nothing happens.
I have tried with L camera, google play service and swiftkey.
Its a security feature when you're using an app that places an overlay on your screen.
Not sure what app it is though. Most common are screen dimmers
During video call only half of the screen shows caller face rest is acquired by options.is there any soln. To this.
I'm facing the same problem. Don't thing there is any solution for that.
Try Google Dialer and Contacts and disable Stock Contacts Manager. Its wrking fine for me and no bugs like Stock .
Nb: No root access need !!

I've tried that. But without root, the stock phone app cannot be disabled. So annoyingly the stock phone app pops up before or after a call is made.

Oh that can be disabled. I was talking about system phone app. Every time I make a call it pops up eventhough I'm dialing with Google phone. The screen disappears once back button is pressed.
I had to go to Settings > Apps > Configure apps (tap gear icon at the top) > set "Phone app" to "Google Phone"!
full screen video calling works now

Hi,
Today I am presenting pixel style dialer and contacts app for moto e3 power. Its a flashable Zip. You can easily flash it using TWRP recovery.
INSTALLATION:
1. boot into recovery
2. flash using recovery
3. reboot
4. Enjoy
NOTE:- after zip installs give dialer all permissions. then go to settings and set google phone as your default phone app. now you can disable/uninstall your stock phone app
Special thanks to Mark at tech for posting.
GOOD LUCK:good::good:
As you said it requires good luck I think and I don't have it.... I installed using twrp and it like just installing apk file nothing replaced with the original one and nor running a phone if older app is disabled

Installed and gave all permision but Call always connects from the inbuilt Phone App.
No option found to set this app as default dialer.
Can I Un-install the App?? If yes how?
I could only find an older version that installed ok.....

The beta doesnt work (FC when I want to launch the number pad or search through my contacts) but the stable version 18. Works totally fine
I just installed it from the Play store, along with Google contacts, and set them both to the default. Works fine.

Interesting. You downloaded the Google phone app from the play store? Did you flash the Google framework via TWRP? Because without that it doesn't work
Edit: Or am I missing something here?

Probably worth mentioning that I'm running Leedroid, so maybe that has something to do with it?
What i did was download the Google dialer and contacts for OP5/5T from the magisk app. After you download it get a file manager and extract the whole folder. Go to the system->priv-app and delete the OPInCallUi folder. Than rezip the whole folder and rename it so you know which is which. Go to magisk manager app->modules than click the plus sign on the bottom find your modded zip and flash. I have had this mod since Feb 28 and it has updated from playstore with no issues and works like it should.
Edit: on Leedroid rom current stable relaease.
Is there any working version for u11 without root and stock?!

Hi dear, did you find a way?
The link posted above version v23.0.208561757 works fine for me to get it installed you'll need to uninstall any other version of google phone you have installed
you will need to set it as default, as well as in the app info screen you'll need to give it write over and modify system settings permissions
I've been running it on Stock non rooted 8.0 on my US unlocked U11 since the version came out.
Has anyone tried this (link) magisk module from the OP5 on the 6?
I've tried this patched apk (link) but it had some bugs (actions in notifications don't work, no nearby places, etc) which made it unusable.
Yes, magisk version works perfectly

Just installed it and it's working, thanks! We're you able to update through the play store?
I know its a no ob question, but how can I get magisk on my One plus 6. What's the benefits of using the google dialer over standard Oneplus 6
Visual Voicemail is broken on the Google dialer, at least on T-Mobile. Both magisk and non-magisk version for me.
Have to use default OnePlus dialer for now. At least it has an option for swipe up to answer now.

Why not just use T-Mobile vvm? I have a blacked out version if you want it.

I have a thing at the top of the T-Mobile VVM app that says "29 days remaining for trial" or something to that effect, so I assumed it requires a plan add-on.

No, seems magisk module isn't compatible with official play version
But try this: uninstall magisk dialer module, install google framework (if you haven't done this), delete playstore data, cache, reboot device. Open playstore, and now dialer is there

Just tried this and now the dialer shows up in the Play Store but it says that my device isn't compatible.
Edit: I reinstalled the Google dialer module afterwards and I was able to update it through the Play Store. Everything seems to be working perfectly, thanks!
Any update on this working with vvm? Almost perfect at this point, but having vvm right on the dialer app on the 5T is something that I've been missing...

Voicemail is the only thing not working for me. New voicemails don't even show in the tab within the dialer for some reason.
When I tried the magisk module I had no dialer screen, I mean no interface when calling or receiving a call. Any ideas?
Does anyone know why exactly the Google Dialer won't just install normally on our device? Originally I thought it was because the existing dialer was the same package name but that actually doesn't seem to be the case. I'd be interested to know what the actual reason is.

Mostly the reason behind this is our phone is not having Android one and it doesn't belong to Google.
any google phone does not work properly on my oneplus6 with oos5.1.8,
substratum cannot apply black theme !!
but the same substratum theme can easily applied on my nexus6 with AOSP 8.1.
I miss features of the Google Dialer but the default theme for it is so very opposite to the system theme that is just... It was so easy to set the system profile to a certain colour palette, the clash in style just makes the Google Dialer unusable for me!

Actually I did this and ever since, apps are not showing up in the installed apps list. They are installed, but I have to find them manually. If they have an update, it won't show in the update tab in play store, but they can be update, and they will show in the installed apps after the update.
Guys I found this working method, now I can update google dialer via play store and no bugs yet.
