Just received the following update: 55.0.A.2.278.
As usually no changelog.
I wonder what they changed / fixed.
Great! Apparently it contains some bug fixes which delayed the release of the Xperia 1 in Japan, TW, HK, China. It supposedly also contains some fixes for the camera. Unfortunately, the update hasn't come out yet for the single sim variants.

get xperifirm app(on xda) to dl full firmware and then use unsin(also xda) to extract all of it for comparison.
I have had this update for the past 3 days but unable to install it.
Been saying downloading for the past 3 days...
Why is is not starting? Any ideas? I've cleared cache/data for software update and tried numerous times but no luck.
I had it on my single sim version in the UK few days ago.

Can I flash J9110 rom to J8110 phone? I would like to flash this firmware soon. Only EE and O2 firmware have been provided.
Or, can I flash EE or O2 firmware to SIM free J8110 without losing SIM unlock property?
I'm not sure exactly what the update was for,it does seem to contain an urgent fix users on the EE network were having of the Data and signal constantly dropping like the sim was removed. Seems slow to roll out though i can find it on Xperifirm but can't flash it myself as Flashtool hasn't been updated yet to know this model.
Yes seems to have fixed that issue, it was almost like it was trying to connect to any WiFi it found and dropped the mobile data connection each time. I noticed it when on the train more than anywhere else.

Did anyone flash this firmware of dual SIM to single SIM phone?

Is it still the case that the German release gets the official firmware updates before the UK model, was looking at the 32Gb model on the German Amazon site?

Use CF Auto Root to root your phone, read the instructions carefully!
Updated to latest MG5 update.
Changes I felt so far:
- Phone feels faster.
- More free RAM (Screenshot attached, after normal usage and no clearing of memory).
- Camera opens faster.
- Weather widget still get cleared but it comes back instantly.
Been running EE EVR MG7 for about a week and I've noticed that when it goes into sleep - WIFI disconnects.
This means it uses up my 4G data when the screen is not on. It does reconnect when the screen comes on though.
Anyone else experienced the same? A friend of mine moved up to DBT MGA and said he got the same thing (for some reason one of the programs killed 1Gb of data in one night lol!)
Was thinking of moving to BTU MGA if its any different? thanks in advance.

Do not own this phone, so the answer may vary.
But afaik, Android defaults to cellular connection in sleep. There is an option in your wifi settings which allows you to select "wifi-connected" during sleep.
Search around in wifi and network related settings.
Switch it to "never"

The only way is to use FOLDERMOUNT
I'm looking to install the google edition Firmware GT-I9505G.. And I have a couple of questions for those who use it ..?
Is it good...? Does it work flawlessly?
How do updates work on it? Can I get OTA updates?
Can you give me name or a link to the download?
Thanks in advance

The best way to find out is probably to read the thread, or at least the first post and the last load of recent pages. From what I have read/seen it seems to be very good and certainly usable for daily use. I don't think you should accept (or even receive) any OTA updates. As its essentially a custom ROM its probably safer to let the developer create a new update to flash. I have downloaded the 4.2.2 version but haven't installed it just yet, been hanging on for a new 4.3 version.

Hi,
Absolutely!
You need to address that question to Samsung.
"I have some news with respect to our Android Marshmallow 6.0 upgrades.
This afternoon we have started to fully rollout Android Marshmallow 6.0 on 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen) with the following carriers; Verizon, Sprint and USC.
In addition, we have started the soak test period in Brazil and India retail for the 2015 Moto X Play and in Brazil retail for the 2015 Moto X Force.
We are continuing to work to rollout Android Marshmallow 6.0 to the previously announced devices as listed on the Official Motorola Blog.
Thanks and enjoy!"

I'm in the same boat, I'm on Cricket. Other sites stated At&t & T-Mobile (probably) to follow...
I'm reading other people are popping out their SIMs and getting the update : "Just installed my marshmallow update on my Moto x pure edition. I'm neither on any of the US carriers. I took out my sim, searched for updates and I got the OTA update notification and installed. Good luck guys! "
This has NOT worked for me

Why is anyone waiting at this point anyway? We know the files are the same and the download is available for anyone to flash. There is no T-Mobile update coming other than this one.
What's the build number of the latest rollout?

In general I would agree, but if there technically is no difference, why didn't GSM users on ATT and TMo get the update? Band 12 certification is only a TMo issue, so shouldn't have impacted ATT.
I have this nagging feeling that Moto isn't telling us something, and with the absence of a true signed factory restore file, I'm a little gun shy about flashing something that may impact my ability to get a proper OTA a little down the line...

While I'm technically on ATT my just received replacement MXP has not seen a sim card yet and I get the OTA just fine.

Yes had mine yesterday but took about 1hr to download and install, it was only 67mb!
And mine has just arrived. I suspect they're staging it to avoid server overload.
Just had mine download and install. Took about 15 mins.

Hi there,
I picked up this wonderful phone today and am a happy owner. There is just one thing that concerns me.
It's locked to Vodafone which is fine, but I'm not sure whether they are handling the firmware updates or not.
My version is showing as 47.1.A.3.254 and security patch is October.
Is there any means of updating this firmware? I don't want root because I prefer to keep access for banking apps.
Thanks
Sent from my G8141 using Tapatalk
Just put the latest build on with XperiFix and Newflasher, no root required. I did the same thing with my XZP from Optus, it was stuck on Nougat.
Thanks. I'll look into that.

Can I just ask, so you can flash a stock firmware that has no operator branding straight over the top?
There isn't anything that blocks it?

I bought a note 20 Ultra unlocked. How ever have not received any OTA. I am still running the original July 1st update.
My question is more has anyone else not received an update? Anyone else having issues with Netflix because of this also? (Play store says that the device is no longer compatible.)
Phone SM-N986U1
Current version: N986U1UEU1ATGG / N986U1OYM1ATGG / N986U1UEU1ATGG
Wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.
(I'd rather not side load updates).

Finally got a hold of someone with a head above their shoulders not just below. And they had me try a few weird reset things. in the hidden phone menus. (Not just cache clear during phone boots.)
ended up saying go to a Samsung experience location like at a best buy and they can either replace it or try and force update the device.
I didn't want to side load updates so i receive them from OTA, My experience with side loading is that feature doesn't always work for future updates and you either have to backdate and then OTA or hope the devs keep pushing / posting the updated files.
Thank you guys for your responses.
