Remove your fingerprint data and just use pin or pattern unlock.

there is not another solution because I use the imprint
You need to realize it need to be there for placement of fingerprint and to light up the area to "read" the fingerprint. If you mean change it to a different image to will need root and Substratum installed. Only option for right now I believe.
try FP transparent module.

Hi
Quick question, I'm on the latest kitkat 4.4.2 and my device is encrypted for my work email account. I have to use a PIN to unlock the screen
I do not have the option to add a lock screen widget. I've checked in the security settings where I'm led to believe the check box is to enable this but there is no option there to do this. Any ideas, is this because my device is encrypted?
Thanks

For security reasons, widgets are not available on a lockscreen security setting other than Swipe. This because you can use them to unlock the screen bypassing the security.
Thank you, now I know. Appreciate your answer.

Any way to hide the pattern on the lock screen on Marshmallow 6.01? It's so easy for others to see it because it's visible. I'm surprised there's no way to hide it.
If you are using a pattern, you don't care about security anyways.
Hello guys,
is there a another way to lock our S8's instead of using the power button with gestures or apps?
I'll tried several apps like double tap to lock, but these kind of apps blocked the face unlock an fingerprint scanner.
It would be cool, if we could lock it with a hard press on the homebutton or long hold on the finger scanner!
Have a good one
Nova launcher, and Apex both have tap to lock and they don't mess with the fingerprint. Theres also an app I used a lot but idk if it will mess with the fingerprint. Invisible lock wigget

All in One Gestures lets you lock the screen with taps to the status bar or navigation bar. I have mine set so that a double-tap to the left end of the navigation bar locks the phone.
The only downside is that third-party locking solutions make the phone lock fully, so your PIN/password is required to unlock it. You can't use your fingerprint or the iris scanner to unlock it again until your PIN/password has been entered.
Yep when enabled in nova you get 2 options.

Settings, app and notifications, notifications manager and 3 dots upper right, you'll find settings for notifications in lock screen

Many thanks for you both. But still notification contents are hidden I am stupidly missing something. I followed both your advice.

following on from this, I disabled face unlock and contents are now visible, I think its a feature if face id is on and the phone is trying to protect the content if somebody else pick up the phone. pretty nice feature. :good::good:
And when i want so see them? 3 dots upper right is activated?
Is it possible to have AOD lockscreen be the only lockscreen? Seems like I have to unlock the AOD and then unlock the regular lockscreen. I LIKE the AOD screen - can I configure it to be the only lockscreen?
Sorry if this is a stupid question - I'm a new Samsung user.

Firstly, i assume you prefer the AOD and the added security of a lockscreen.?
Otherwise,
easiest option, would be to disable lockscreen and set option to " None ".
In this case you would only have AOD if enabled ?
However, in this case, certain banking apps,
and maybe some other apps ? , that
require a lockscreen eg Fingerprint, Pin etc
won't work (non rooted device )
Security.
I would suggest, to enable AOD and fingerprints etc and in AOD you could enable fingerprint icon
to "show always" on AOD screen.?
Only concern is maybe "burn in" issues, on screen ?
Otherwise, you can set fingerprint icon to show if you lightly tap /press screen.
See screenshots.
So al you need is on AOD screen use fingerprint to go straight to your Device main screen..?
There might be some other options some other members use..?
However, your straightforward question was... can you use AOD as " only lockscreen."
My experience.... says no...!
but who knows... if you rooted..!
Good luck.
