I tested 6.3 and it was working very nice except some light bugs (Bluetooth headphones connection, very lil' graphic bugs and a few others like Ambient Display completely not working) but didn't tried other versions. Anyway it's reported as working actually.

Thanks, any tutorial on how to flash it starting from PixysOs + Askuccio's TWRP?
After flashing rom and setting up all info on first startup whenever I reboot device, the device is getting into bootloop and after rebooting 3 to 4 times its automatically boots into erecovery and gives error as " the data partition has been severally damaged" and after doing factory reset still this problem is not going... Any solutions?

Yes i did. My SD card was detected and i got back to Stock by copying files to SD card only.
Also on PyxisOs sd card is detected but for instance the system is not going to use it as default storage for pictures but you can move new files on it manually.
Why did you get back to stock ROM btw?

I managed to get to emui8 by rebranding to indian model, but now I'm stuck I can't re-flash twrp. I tried the following with twrp-berlin-3.3.1 :
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
gives :
"target reported max download size of 471859200 bytes
sending 'recovery' (25096 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.645s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: partition length get error)
"
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery.img
fastboot boot recovery.img
But gives error in terminal
I saw in the linked thread they used askuccio's custom recovery, which then worked fine after repairing filesystem for a few directories. another part of my problem was that I can't execute more than one fastboot command, meaning I had to un-plug/re-plug the usb cable after each one.

Try to flash the stock recovery only (mega .nz/#!ytgzBAQK!-Q60njsiNVDpEOMx2RfJhwT9LvkUAbtzIt-oS5p9LuI) using *fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk StockRecovery.img* and then with it install emui 5.

Just tried it but it fails to factory reset.
also tried dload method, gives "software install failed".
In eRecovery OTA "download and install update" fails because "getting package info from server fails". This happens I think because the phone is unlocked. Tried to relock it with the code but didn't succeed gives "command not allowed"
Anyone knows about a discord link where I could discuss this ? This part of the forum seems pretty dead
I don't know any discord for that but the problem does not come from the bootloader because I myself had some problems when I flash a rom and I was able to restore the system with erecovery and bootloader unlocked. I don't know what to do sorry

I tried flashing with the dload method all these roms, only the first one "worked" but there are files outside the UPDATE.APP and the flash was super quick, then the phone didn't boot or anything so it never really worked..
The only rom that didn't give an error and started flashing has these files and UPDATE.APP is only 62mb...:

If you were on Android 6 previously, then flash TWRP and install an official Android 6 firmware with TWRP. After that do a factory reset.

Thanks for your reply!! Yes I was on android 6, installed TWRP and tried all the 6.0 roms I could find without success...
One of them, Aroma ROM, starts ok but then gets frozen and doesn't move, I left the phone for an hour and it didn't install anything:
The other roms just fail before starting..
Any ideas? I'm starting to think the phone won't work again

You need TWRP V3+.
You can also install the ones for Huawei Mate S but try with v3.1.1-0.
Don't forget to flash a FULL-OTA package because you're flashing OTA's. Also this old version of TWRP works only on Android 5 firmware.
Another method is to extract the STOCK RECOVERY partition with Huawei Update Extractor, flash it in fastboot, then install the UPDATE.APP with dload method, but it might give you the incompatibility message because of the CUST difference.

My Hauwei P8 max is bricked as well, tried all the ones you have. Could I have a look at the site you have(Russian) as my Hauwei uses emui to upload. Bought it for $30 on ebay as is(bricked)
Sorry I didn't keep the phone or the ROM files... Phone would freeze it's memory every 3 months and I had to reflash to keep it running. I have had 3 different phones after that one so I didn't think to keep the roms

Here I present my tool to flash Honor stock firmware in TWRP recovery. I have tested it on all currently available firmwares for Honor 9 STF but still this tool is beta.
HuRUpdater
Huawei Recovery Updater
Flash official firmware zip files
Can detect if firmware locks bootloader
Can detect if firmware wipes data
Download:
HuRUpdater_0.4.zip
Tested up to STF-L09C432B369
HuRUpdater_0.3.zip
HuRUpdater_0.2.zip
Tested up to STF-L09C432B362
It's recommended to use a proper custom recovery (with running oeminfo_nvm_server service) like for example my version of TWRP.
How to use:
Warning: Make sure you know what you are doing and do not flash firmware from other devices.
Download firmware files (for official firmware use Huawei Firmware Finder).
Put files you want to flash in a seperate folder on sdcard.
Supported zip files to flash are (name must match):
update.zip (use FullOTA file)
update_all_hw.zip
update_data_public.zip
Optional: Put recovery.img in same folder if you want to keep custom recovery.
Put HuRUpdater zip in same folder. Example:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Select only HuRUpdater to flash in custom recovery.
Follow instructions on screen. Flashing can take multiple minutes.
Problems:
If firmware includes factory reset
Factory reset is not supported by custom recovery. Therefore HuRUpdater will flash stock recovery before launching factory reset. After flashing firmware and doing factory reset, you need to flash recovery manually.
Supported devices:
Honor 9
Honor View 10 (confirmed* by Rommco05)
Huawei P9 Lite (confirmed* by Tecalote)

Custom recovery. When you flash stock firmware, the recovery is overwritten. By placing a recovery.img of TWRP in the folder, it will be automatically flashed after stock firmware. Therefore you will keep custom recovery.

Yes it should work. Downgrading to 183 will format data so make a backup.
Wonderful! It also solves the problems with bricked Honor 9
This tool is amazing. It should be a sticky post. You've no idea how many people will be saved by this tool. Dude, you rock amazingly. Be proud of yourself! It saved me countless hours of flashing, after many hours trying to recover a bricked honor 9... You should post this tool on Reddit with relevant information. It's an amazing tool.

If you can load to or flash and load to twrp your device is NOT bricked! )) It is very easy to flash zip's of official ROM in this case with or without this tool. This tool is very good by 2 reasons: 1) Can detect if ROM wipes data. 2) Can detect if ROM locks bootloader. It is very convinient! Good job.
PS Your device is bricked if you have error 2 and error 11 when trying to boot. It is not also a problem if you can still reach erecovery.
@zxz0O0 I'm on B360 and want to update to B362 but FF says it's not authorized (all versions say that), so I'd like to know what version you used and what is the danger (if any) of flashing an unauthorized firmware version.

Risk of flashing an unauthorized firmware:
None, that's just the relase method Huawei choose https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phased_adoption
Risk of flashing a firmware:
Same as with official way, you could brick / destroy your device if you for example power off during fw flashing.

@zxz0O0 Flashed latest B362 (dated March 28th) with no issues, thank you.
By the way, that March 23rd release of B362 has apparently been removed from server (that's what FF was saying on mine)
Great, works fine on Mate 9 (Although got E: Unknown command []] 2 times).
Updated from C432B366 to C432B367-SP1, mainly to test because B367-SP1 is some test firmware.

Thanks for feedback. This error is actually caused on how TWRP interprets the output of the flashable zip. It can be ignored.

yeah, me too , i cant get, i write in live chat but they send a link dont work.
FYI: If you're getting an update error, please note that the NE-L21_EMUI8.rar package contains a .zip file named update_data_pubblic.zip. There is a typo in there; rename it to update_data_public.zip (just one 'p').
Besides that, the update works great.

I don't think you can. Oreo makes a lot of changes, like changing partitions, etc. Why do you want to downgrade? Install GSI or LineageOS 15.1. You have tons of options.

The pre-Oreo TWRP image will not work on Oreo. Did you follow the instructions as described (which will also overwrite your current TWRP recovery)?
1. Extract the NE-L21_EMUI8.rar package
2. Rename update_data_pubblic.zip to update_data_public.zip ('pp' to 'p', that was a typo by the uploader)
3 Extract the HWOTA_RNE-ENG.zip package
4. Move update.zip, update_all_hw.zip and update_data_public.zip from the previous package to HWOTA/update
5. Run the script in HWOTA/ while having the phone in bootloader mode (fastboot)

I already did this.. I'm already running an oreo firmware.. That's why i can't use HWOTA again because Partition recovery on oreo is different . That's why it can't install the TWRP recovery . Partition length get error. Are there any option? Can i flash a full OTA of Nougat in my device that's already running an Oreo?

I saw it on Firmware Finder also for RNE-L21 C432 variant, but it is not approved for installation. Can I get the update despite that if I download it via FF? Any consequences that come with that?
bro B310 update is out check it on firmware finder.

I think you don't even need to use TWRP, just download it via FF and install. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
Hi KingOfMezi,
Do you have any idea how to flash erecovery in oreo?. I tried extracting ERECOVERY_RAMDI.img from UPDATE.APP and Install it using your TWRP, then select eRecovery. It still doesn't solve my problem.
Or Can anyone backup eRecovery using KingOfMezi TWRP and send it to me. So i'll just restore it and hopefully fix my problem. Help will be so much appreciated.

$ fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY.img
Please note that the recovery image must be adjusted for Oreo, since install/wipe will not work with pre-Oreo recoveries.

Sorry I posted the wrong link. Should have been 9..5.4.0 for china. You can try to copy the 9.5.14.0 update on your phone and update it through miui updater.
But you can't flash 9.5.6.0 Global rom on China rom directly. You can do that only with unlocked bootloader through fastboot or custom recovery.

It's for restoring stock rom when you have some issues as I have posted above. Useful when you have a locked bootloader.
You can only flash any custom recovery (twrp/redwolf) when you have an unlocked bootloader.

FLASHING
This is for experianced people only, because theres no working TWRP yet. If you dont know how to read stop here (funny eh ?). Also if you dont wanna follow steps bellow because u know better. Goodbye. I dont wanna listen to you cry here. I will not help you.
opposite of what happens if you flash in twrp, this procedure will flash to the slot whis is active now. if you know what u r doing u can flash to any slot u like.
Despite the red text theres really no big danger here if you follow the steps. I just wana scare away newbs.
BU!
android 10 shipped devices have fastboot like we know it and its pretty much useless. and they have the new fastbootd (google it).
1st. get into fastbootd.
option a) from old fastboot, type: fastboot reboot fastboot (funny eh ?) another google miracle to not name it fastbootd.
option b) if you have a running os with adb: adb reboot fastboot
this will bring you to OOS chinese recovery look a like, but its fastboot. to test that u r in the right place try a fastboot command. fastboot getvar all for example.
2nd. flash
unzip ROM using payload dumper
option a) if you are on linux
fastboot -w //this will wipe all your data. you need to do this only on first install, not on updates.
sh ./fastboot_flash.sh
option b)
again! fastboot -w // will wipe all your data and is needed only on first flash
Code:
fastboot -w
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash product product.img
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash vbmeta_system vbmeta_system.img
fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img
fastboot reboot
3rd. enjoy opensource
unfortunately because of the flashing procedure I have included gapps. when twrp exists they will be gone.
Updating: (WILL WORK ONCE OFFICIAL)
Use OTA inside rom for updates
if u did something else. we dont need/wanna know about it in the thread
May the force be with you

Sweeeet
I tried yesterday to build it myself but failed due to lack of knowledge about ROM building, but this is even better ?
Well when this is ready for twrp flashing then I'll try it and will need to flash off of the TMobile build of oxagen os first.

5 minutes (but I already had a GSI ROM on the device so I knew what to do). Did not use the script but did it manually. Already rooted with Magisk. Totally happy now with the OP7T

Upload the boot.img from the rom to your device. Install magisk manager 7.4. choose install, patch boot image, select your boot image. Copy the magisk patched image to your PC. Fastboot flash boot the patched image. Reboot.
Is anyone else having trouble playing music through the USB C port? I get nothing but static

Is this boot.img based off the 10.0.5 OTA?
I had flashed the patched_boot.img from 10.0.3 and , that did not play well at all.
Coming from the Xiaomi redmi note 7 , So I am also unfamilar with have 2 different slots .

This is an AOSP rom so you can't use an oxygen os kernel with it. You can patch the boot.img from the Omni rom zip with magisk then flash it via fastboot.
