Swift Installer - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

I´ve flashed Swift Installer got some issues I haven´t had on my OP6. The first issue is that Contacts cannot be themed. Secondly Settings can be themed but then, after having themed Settings, when I like to go to my Accounts and activate Automatically Sync Data, tapping Google then Account Sync it crashes.
Is anyone else facing those issues? How can I make both Contacts and Settings being themed? Or is it related to the new OP7pro system and Swift Installer has to be updated? I´ve got the same issues using Substratum and Swift Black.

I am having the same issues and more... Some of the settings pages have a white header background and some crash. I don't use the OP phone and contact apps but rather use the Google versions.
I sent a detailed email to the author and suspect we shall see updates to these modified apps on the 7 pro soon.

Yep, same here

Didn't work for me either. Running swift black via substratum now and it's fine

FYI: Swift Installer's just updated and is supporting now OP7Pro. Everything's working now as it should.

Thanks for posting. Only thing it's not applying the theme to for me is the Play Store.

Hi guys, I am having issues when trying to theme anything on my device.
I have tried substatum and swift installer with no luck - never together.
I am rooted with latest Magisk 19.3, running 9.5.10.
Everything works perfectly on the device and I have also granted root access to swift installer.
The magisk module, is correctly installed and activated.
When I make a change in swift app, I reboot, then it asks for another reboot and after that no theming is in place, inside swift all selected apps shows as active. Cannot change accent colours or enable dark notifications.
I have reached out to the telegram support with not much success.
Any thoughts?

Hey @geovass,
I have the exact same issue! The apps just won't theme for me.
Also using the OP7 Pro with OxygenOS 9.5.10.GM21BA

I had to factory reset the device and setup from scratch. Now most of the apps are getting themed (play store and WhatsApp doesn't work) + I have dark notifications!

Hello,
it seems like that my Magisk modules are not working, even after re-installing Magisk. That's why the Swift Installer isn't working either for me.
Can anybody assist me here? I need to fix Magisk somehow.. the root itself is completely successful and works. It's just about Magisk, and I got no clue why.

For me going to app info for any app crashes it.

Yes it works just fine. Nougat has built in legacy support as long as you have SuperSU

OK sweet. One theme in particular in its description says to delete vendor/overlays folder before applying. Is this necessary? Or will hitting the restore stock theme in substratum app before applying a new theme be sufficient? (Do we even need to do that?)

Just use ones marked as pixel 7.1.1 compatible (swift black or swift dark) and everything just works.

Xposed framework

Anybody know if this is available yet for our phone. I used to have this and it was great. I especially liked it for allowing YouTube to play in the background.

Yes, as long as you're rooted with Magisk. Download the SDK 26 framework version if you're on Oreo.
If you're only interested in background playing for YouTube, there is a Magisk module for that, too, so you wouldn't need Xposed. I'm only running it for GravityBox so I couid change a few SystemUI components.
Additional info from the screenshots. Check the official Magisk and Xposed XDA threads for any downloads you may need.

Really appreciate the help!

Seems the magisk module isn't working to keep YouTube open in the background. I'll try the xposed now.

Strange... Works fine on my end. You may need to fully uninstall YouTube first, then install the Magisk module and reboot. A reboot after uninstalling YouTube may be helpful, too. Also, when I install an updated LeeDroid ROM, I choose not to install YouTube during the Aroma setup process. Then through Magisk, I install the background YouTube module.
You can use Firefox with this plugin:

Also you can use Firefox in desktop version to let Youtube run in background.

Update: My phone is not rooted and using default Oneplus OS. I don't want to root my phone for this.
Thanks,

I use 3C All-in-one toolbox. It's a complex app that can do a whole bunch of things. Under it's "App Manager" section you can set exactly what you're looking for per app.
It works 100% on my rooted OP6, but I don't know if you would need to root to enable this functionality in 3C.
Renovate has this feature enable his magisk rom.

Poco F2 Pro, MIUI 12.0.2.0, System apps updater crashes after debloating

I debloated my Poco F2 Pro with MIUI 12.0.2.0 and after that I had to re-install "Mi Wallpaper" for Settings -> Wallpaper not to crash.
Anyhow, I can't figure out which causes Settings -> System apps updater to crash at start up.
I have uninstalled with Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools everything else except these:
Calculator
Clock
Downloads
Facebook
Gboard
Google Chrome
Google Maps
Google Photos
Google Play Games
Mi Wallpaper
POCO Launcher
Wallpaper Carousel
(nothing has been disabled)
What do I need to reinstall for the systems app updater?
Thanks!
Those are the apps that you kept on phone??
try to reinstall those two :

It crashes because you uninstalled Downloads app which is very essential to system app updater.

Thanks! I feel so stupid now, I re-installed the Systems App Updater and now it works  Somehow I had totally missed that I uninstalled it too. By the way, I didn't install the Package Installer and still the Systems App Updater worked and updated the few apps it could.

Just a tip if English is not your first language (it's not mine either), "I have uninstalled with Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools everything else except these" except in that sentence means that those apps I listed are the ones I have in my phone, everything else has been uninstalled. So I have/had Downloads app.

My bad. I misread your post.
P.S. You don't need to lecture me understanding English because it's one of my native languages.

One Plus 8 Apps for One Plus 8T

Hi,
I have switched to a one 8T recently. The default apps (Google Apps) for the dialler, contacts and messages sucks. I have been trying to get the one plus 8's dialler, contacts and messages app to my 8T. The contacts and messages apps works fine. But the dialler is keep on crashing. due to not allowing the permission for phone, but all the permissions are allowed.
Can someone guide me sort this or guide me to an an apk file for the oneplus dialler app that works fine?
The dialer don't work cause it needs to be a system app.
You can install them as system but you'll need root. Here's a guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-8t/how-to/how-to-oneplus-dialer-call-recording-t4189165
