I just switched to a new phone without a headphone jack and noticed that when I connect my phone to a Bluetooth headphone and play a video at a higher speed like 150% or 200%, the audio of the playback starts to glitch. I have tried several headphones and tried both HW and SW decoders for audio, but nothing helps to solve the problem. On the other hand, I tried 2x playback speed in YouTube and everything works fine. I think there's something to do with how the player samples the audio and passes it to the headphone. Is there a setting to fix this problem?

Generally, this may happen when the video track lags behind the audio.
It will be more helpful if you can confirm whether the issue appears only when using the Bluetooth headset or it can be noticed even while playing through speakers. If it happens on both conditions, it could be caused by hardware limitation.
If possible, collect a bug report from MX Player's help menu right after noticing the issues and share with us. It may help us to understand the issue better.
to what device did you switched to? I'm having the exact issue with my OnePlus 7 Pro but audio was completely fine with the S10+ using wireless buds and up to 4x playback speeds. This is a pretty disspointing surprise
EDIT: I just tried with wired headphones and device's speakers thinking it could be a Bluetooth problem but the stuttering and cut offs were the same.
I then tried other players such as VLC thinking it could be an MX Player problems but again same problem so it might be an issue with my OP7 pro

As we mentioned earlier, it could be due to the limitation of hardware accelerated decoder on your device. There are various factors that can influence video payback. For example, when you try to play a 4K 60fps videos at 4x, the device needs to decode 4K video frames at 240 frames per second. So, video track may lag if it exceeds the capabilities. Likewise, other encoding parameters can also affect performance. Try some other videos with lower resolution or frame rate, and you may not face any such issues.

I tried pairing the Infinity with my newly purchased LG HBS-700 headset.

The sound quality is fantastic, but unfortunately, the audio is siginificantly out of sync with any video. I first tried Youtube which resulted in delayed audio in all the videos. I read on here that people were having issues because Bluetooth and Wifi on this device share the same antenna. I then tried watching a 1080p mkv from a Class 10 microSD card using BS Player. This resulted in the same audio delay. I then turned off Wifi and reopened the movie file. The audio delay was the same. So it appears that the Bluetooth lag we are experiencing is independent of Wifi usage. I really hope this is fixable as I bought this headset with the Infinity in mind.
I should point out that I then tested the headset with my Galaxy Nexus. I streamed the same Youtube videos with good results. There might be some lag, but it is so small that I can hardly detect it.
For those of you with Bluetooth audio headsets or speakers, use this Youtube clip to gauge your audio lag.

With my Galaxy Nexus, the clap sound is around the 0 mark. With the Infinity, the clap sound is at +3 or +4.

I just paired my LG HBS-700s to my Galaxy Tab 10.1. And guess what?
NO AUDIO LAG!
With my Galaxy Tab, Youtube audio is spot on as well. No problem with Wifi and Bluetooth running simultaneously. This tells me that this must be a software issue on the Infinity that needs fixing ASAP.
I have a Jam box and I can confirm that the audio is out of sync 1~2 secs on all apps (games, YouTube, Google music, etc).
Same apps with my Gnexus no lags.
Everyday when I drive to work I use my phone to stream music to my radio over bluetooth. Now when I tried it with my new Moto G I have problem with sound quality. The sound is somewhat distorted, metal sounding with plenty of compression artifacts. I tried to reconnect the phone, unpair and pair it again. I even tried different players and disabled all equalizer effects without any success. My previous phone Huawei G300 with ICS was plaing music flawlessly. Now when I connected phone to my PC over the bluetooth the sound was just fine. Anybody else experienced this problem? Is there any way to fix it? I searched the web and it seems that many users had smilar issue with A2DP running different versions of Jellybean.
No problems with a2dp here on 2 different receiver devices, so sorry. Running the MG with 4.3

Maybe the Moto G also have a low bitpol (bitrate) value for the SBC codec? When used with a compatible BT receiver that accepts MP3, it will sound fine whereas transcoding a loosy format to SBC at a even lower bitrate will cause audible audio artefacts.
I'm thinking of getting these small 30 pin Apple/iPod dock BT receiver which I suspect may only implement the bare minimum of A2DP : SBC codec, so if the Moto G is plagued by the low bitpol setting then I'll forget this idea lol

Audio for movies and videos and games are the same way, so they're out of sync. If I run the Audio Router app (forces audio to be played thru mono "headset mode" [not sure if that's what that's called]) then the lag/delay disappears and everything is fine, except that the audio is now playing at the lower headset bitrate and is mono.
So far, my car is the only thing I have to pair my phone with so I don't know if it's the car or the phone. But, I've only experienced this problem on 4.4 roms. 4.2 was fine, no audio lag at all. Every single 4.4 rom I've used has this problem (cm, aokp, pa, slim, pac, and stock).
The only patch I can think of for movies is to find a player that can allow me to offset the audio (like VLC on Windows does), but I haven't found one that supports that.
Any ideas?

It is an issue with the link to your car. I get the same thing between all my Android devices and one particular Bluetooth device, my context is different using Chromecast to see on TV the picture but hear on bluetooth off my handset the audio, I've tried N4, N7 2012, N7 2013, N10. The only fix in my context is HDMI off the N10 (so in N5 it would be Slimport) and bluetooth off the handset.
For your car, does it have a Tape casette player old tech? They used to have an audio-male to casette adaptors, or an audio socket at all, then just male-male cable to the N5?
Does such a thing exist? I would like to have wireless headphones and watch shows but normally there is always a lag that bothers me too much to even attempt it. Has bluetooth 5 or even 4.2 fixed this?

Don't use wireless headphones but, boeffla kernel allows direct DAC output, which may allow some improvement.
Else you can pay for MX player pro and adjust audio sync with any downloaded or streamed video mx can link to.
App based streaming, such as ITV player is limited to hardware. Bluetooth will have delay, because audio has to be converted to bluetooth transport with then must be converted back to audio. Plus the transport is slow in comparison to the faster DAC.
I was having problems with terrible audio quality on headphones using the included USB-C to 3.5mm adapter. After reading up I bought a new dongle (Apple) that includes the DAC in the dongle instead of using the analog audio out through the USB port. That did fix my audio quality issue, but introduced a new one. Now there is occasional stuttering/crackling in my music, not major, but usually noticeable at least once or twice in most songs. It happens with the built in music player app, Spotify, and a couple other music players I downloaded to test, and it seems to be more frequent when the screen is off or other apps are running, and switching apps or turning the screen off causes a stutter most of the time.
Has anyone else run into similar issues? I'm thinking this is a problem with the music player not getting priority on the CPU since it seems loosely tied with other app usage, but could this just be a faulty dongle?
