Hi I bought a OnePlus 7 pro direct from OnePlus, I am on the EE network in the UK. I have issues where once I set up the phone Volte is active as shown in my status bar but there's no way to switch it off! I have looked in settings under sim and it has a WiFi calling toggle but nothing for Volte. I have also tried *#800# checked in logkit and there's no option there either! Is anyone else having this issue? Any help would be appreciated or I might have to return the device which I don't want to. Thanks in advance

Hey,
I bought the phone unlocked (from John Jewis) and put a 3 SIM in it so maybe there is a difference there?
I went to Settings, WiFi & Internet, SIM & Network, SIM 1 and I have a toggle there?

I think you are right, it doesn't play well with EE, I bought mine from John Lewis too, as you can see from my screen shot there's no option for Volte

If you have a friend on another network, might be worth asking if you can put his/her sim in your phone and see if you have the VoLTE option on that sim card?
But yeah, otherwise it might be an issue specific to EE

I have a mate 9 bought from three U.K. . I'm in an area with volte supported. Volte option is switched on. But when I make a call the phone switch to 3G or H+
Someone know how to solve the problem and have volte working?
Thank you

Hi
The app from three is just for wifi calling.
The volte option is on the phone settings and is present only when you put a three sim in. If I insert a ee sim the option for volte calling disappear...
No help?
Hi guys! I got OnePlus 6 (my first OP device) and I saw that on 5T there's WiFi Calling and VoLTE, but on OP6 is not and I couldn't find options to activate. I came from S8+ and I have both of them. Do you know something? There will be some updates about this? Thanks!
In your sim card/network settings in the op6 you should be able to find the option and enable them. With the networks I’m on I found I was able to do this.
That strongly depends on your carrier and the country you live in. In Germany, for example, VoLTE does not work with T-Mobile or Vodafone. In the US it does (T-Mobile).

Than you are the only person with german SIM and VoLTE working on OP6. In german Android Forum is a thread several pages long, where many people complain that OnePlus does not support it with a german SIM. Also the answer from an official ticket at OnePlus they answered they have no agreement with a german carrier.

Has it worked out of the box for you ?
I am in USA and looking to activate TMobile wifi calling and volte but don't see it in settings? Normally it's just there after I put my sim in past phones

5.1.6 improves volte so that may help it has just started rolling out
It you font have this function in your SIM settings, just dial *#800#, then tap "oneplus Logkit", "Function Switch" and then tick VoLTE and VoWIFI Switch, reboot and voila...
Worked in Israel on Golan Telecom. I wonder why these options were invisible in the first place.
In Romania we have 2 carriers which support Volte, oneplus software dont have settings for it , i make to works for me like this its not my credit , i just found it on a german forum and it works like a charm :

1. MAKE a backup of the EFS partition over TWRP or ADB, and put it on safe place on computer or a cloud etc.
2. The Magisk module, must be installed: VoLTE / VoWiFi - Magisk modules
3. Install on your computer
Qualcomm QPST Diag x64 driver
QPST_2.7.460
4. Now you connect your mobile phone to the computer via a "USB cable"
5. Open the phone app and enter this code *#801#
6. Now a new menu appears and switches on "Serial" and "Full-port switch"
7. Start the program: "PDC" and connect it to your device
8. Right-click on "Oversea-Commercial_DS" under "Deactivate" and select "Sub0" and "Sub1"
9. Now press again on "Oversea-Commercial_DS" and below on Remove
10. Now select "India-VoLTE-Vodafone", right-click and select "SetSelectedConfig" "Sub0" and "Sub1"
11. Now press again on " India-VoLTE-Vodafone " and below on Activate
12. After you have done everything, restart the device!

Hi guys,
If i buy the 1+7 pro from their website, which i think is unlocked version, will it support wifi calling on tmobile network in US?
I understand tmobile has their own version, but based on their website review, it has tons of junk software preloaded and don't know why they removed the original screen protector, also locked bootloader, so im not too interested in that version....
I work in an area where there's basically no signal, so wifi calling is a must for me...now using a sony xz premium international version, basically can not make phone calls with it.
Thanks!

Can you help explain this to me? I have the GSM Unlocked version.
Since yesterday I had the banner at the top showing VoLTE.
I wondered why it didn't show VoWifi while connected to my home network.
I literally did nothing except log into my T-Mobile account through my browser and the banner in my status bar switched to VoWifi, so I was like, oh cool!
But now, minutes later, the banner is gone altogether.
No VoLTE.
No VoWifi.
*Edit*
And now VoWifi is back
There's setting to enable these two in SIM card setting, a little hard to find...
That's the only thing I can think of, as mine as came enabled when received. Both work

I'm curious about LTE bands since you are on T-mobile in USA.
Can you confirm the phone support of bands 66 / 71 ? I've seen international specs that say the phone does and does not support these bands.
Edit 6/4/2019. I saw that you actually ordered a OnePlus 7 pro, and not a OnePlus 7... It does not appear that the OnePlus 7 supports bands 66 or 71, see https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7/help/one-plus-7-t3930123/page3

Any idea how to change our find apn for Verizon?
This phone is GSM only. That might be part of the issue with Verizon. To set the APN you go to settings>Sim cards and mobile network>click on the Sim card>Access Point Names.

Are you on t mobile? Some of my other xiaomi's phones have it enabled but it still drops to 3g during calls. But another different xiaomi with the same sim will also have it working so I've been confused whether it's carrier or device dependant
I'm on Mint Sim. I did make a few calls and discovered a few things. If you enter the above code it then shows the VoLTE option under the sim card. If I toggle it on, phone calls don't go through. Toggle off they do. I observed when making a phone call that the mobile signal says 4g rather than LTE during the call. If I use *#*#4636#*#* to go to the info screen it says the voice network type is LTE. Lower on the screen it says that VoLTE provisioned is off. If I toggle mobile radio power off then on the LTE provisioned will then go to On. If I try to make a call the connection resets (network drops for like a minute) and the LTE provisioned toggle goes back to off once the network comes back up.

I'm on Mint Mobile too. I've been trying to find any info I can to enable WiFi Calling, as Band 2/4/5 coverage in my area is weak, and the only strong signal we have at our home is Band 12 which this phone doesn't support, unfortunately.
A few observations:
I disabled both the VoLTE carrier check (*#*#86583#*#*) and the VoWiFi carrier check (*#*#869434#*#*) and enabled both toggles within the SIM card settings page with no luck.
I also saw the settings you mentioned on the hidden info/settings screen ( *#*#4636#*#*) and, similarly to what you said, any options I modify simply revert back. IMS Status is also indicated as "Not Registered" in the more tab at the bottom, and I'm not sure if this is directly related to these features not working. I can't seem to register my SIM Card with the Xiaomi SIM Activation Service either (it requires an international text or something). When I attempt to do so, I just receive a "Can't activate SIM card; Server error occurred while requesting an activation SMS." message. I linked my number with my MI Account on the website, but I still am getting that error, so I'm not sure what's going on there.
Lastly, if I change my phone's WiFi Calling option to WiFi Only (via another secret menu that I accessed with an app literally called "WiFi Calling" lol) it can't make any outgoing calls at all. It can only function with a mobile connection available. If anyone has any info to share on the possibility of enabling WiFi Calling on this phone in the US, or has had experience with configuring other stingy Xiaomi phones, that would be greatly appreciated.
I know in the mint app there's a toggle to turn on wifi calling which is off by default. Did you turn that on?

Oh, yes. I have. At this point I may just have to purchase a cell signal booster for our home, but VoWiFi would definitely be the best case scenario.

Anyone know if you could do factory reset and select a different region that would put you on different bands for Verizon allowing me to get service here in the US? Just checking if anyone's tried that ?

I'm on t mobile and have a few different budget phones from xiaomi and none of them stay on lte during calls for some reason even though I have the volte toggle enabled after dialing the code. Only one of my xiaomi phones which is a more expensive kind will have volte working by default with the same sim card. Not sure what the differences are between them but the budget phones are volte capable for other users just with a different service. Weird because if it's carrier related and my same sim isn't working then something else isn't right. Volte will be an important requirement in the US starting in 2021 because of the 3g shutdown right?
There is a pc tool to modify the modem and also a different one for band unlocking but not too sure how reliable they are. People did have success with it though check out this thread here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-7/help/volte-wifi-calling-redmi-note-7-t3931119/page3
It's a different xiaomi phone but I think the method could be similar. On the last page, someone on t mobile said they were able to get volte and rcs working after some changes. Not sure about wifi calling though. I might try this myself soon though I'm not too advanced with it. It should be fine if an old budget phone is used for testing. Seems to be one of the most useful info I've found after some digging around

The only Verizon bands this phone supports are the 4G bands 2, 4, and 5. No 2G or 3G. It's tailored more so for GSM carriers and Verizon is a CDMA carrier. I don't see how factory resetting or changing the region would affect the bands as that has more to do with the internal modem and antennae than it does the software. But I could very well be mistaken. Awhile back I know there was a weird method to "unlock all bands" if your phone had a Qualcomm chip in it, so phone tech and their carriers can admittedly be a bit of an enigma to me lol. Regardless, I'd advise against getting this phone if you're on Verizon.

Thanks a ton for this info! My dad has a Redmi Note 7 so I might try this out for both of us and see what kind of results I can get.
I stumbled across this icon today, to my surprise. I had followed the steps to modify the modem in the phone, but could not really find an adequate profile among the options to enable for T-Mobile/Mint in the US. I mostly work from home where my cell signal isn't the greatest, so I didn't even see it until a couple days after the modifications.
I'm not entirely sure if it's the modifications to the modem that caused the icon to appear, or simply enabling it via the dialer code but I was surprised to see it, nonetheless.
I tried making a few calls with it, but it seems to disappear when I get into an actual phone call, and unfortunately I have no news on the VoWiFi front.

There's no reason to believe Google will finally enable worldwide 5G on their phones. Google is not a real smartphone brand, Pixel line is probably a showcase. Therefore, they seem to lack interest on better developing it.
I am a longtime Google phone user (nexus5, pixel1, pixel3, pixel5). If I am able to use VoLTE in Hungary, I will order a pixel 7.
Please post it here whoever has experience regarding global VoLTE support!

How?
With T-Mobile from Czechia is VoLTE working. 5G not and I don't even care LTE is everywhere and more than fast enough
For me, it seems to be working out of the box in Hungary... Yet to test but in the menu, it's available
Sorry to jump on this thread but I've got an unbranded and unlocked Pixel 7 Pro and I'm using a pay monthly Vodafone UK sim card. I'm unable to find the method of turning on WiFi calling which would presumably be included in the Network And Internet settings had I purchased the phone direct from Vodafone.
I'm rooted, Can someone let me know what would be the best way of getting this option activated? Is there a Magisk or Xposed/Lsposed module that may force it? Vodafone UK definitely support it, the same sim card had WiFi calling working on my unbranded Note 10 Plus.

When I'm at home, my signal in some locations of my house is virtually non-existent. Previously, on my Note 10 Plus with the same sim card, WiFi Calling was a toggle in the network settings and, when on, I would have a clear notification icon on the status bar showing WiFi calling was in use when the phone was struggling to get a signal. I get no such notification on the Pixel nor is there a toggle when I've read elsewhere there should be.
voLTE isn't a concern, it's WiFi calling I want for when I'm at home.
I have just one simple question for Google...why do they ship the phone to non-supported countries from their official Amazon store?
Like...if you ship...make sure all features work?

Its not that Google doesn't support everything. Mobile carrier also need to implement device-specific attributes.

Google removed the WiFi calling icon a while ago in an android update or at least made it less visible. Would expect a toggle for wifi calling though in your call settings though. might be if it's not yet enabled, it'll come in a software update

People in non-supported countries still want a pixel device... VoLTE support isn't cheap or easy and Pixel is still growing
