I have stock T-Mobile 7 pro running on 9.5.5.gm31cb my os Ron's 6.7gb of ram to 7gb crazy anyone else having issue
This isn't an issue. Unused RAM is wasted RAM.
Also, it occurs to me, If you have the RAM optimizer turned on, then the phone is doing its job.
don't have that on think there's issue with mine I never keep that on
Same here. I was really confused when seeing it but I think it's because of the RAM boost and, as a user said here: Unused RAM is a waste.
I didn't see any lags or something to worry, so these values have to be because of some features ?
RAM Boost enabled. Let's put those 8 gigs of RAM to good use.

That's not normal. Even with Samsungs bloat on my note 9 it's never more than 4gb.
All depends on personal use.. maybe fella using some ram intensive apps, games etc, mine sits at 4.4 which is the same as coming from 6t
My 6t I still have it's way faster then 7 pro it scores way higher on benchmark test but it is rooted and Smurf kernel

Hi,
I recently got the Sensation XE and have had it for a week or two now. in the last couple of days, my RAM usage suddenly shot up (going from averaging 200mb free to less than 100mb free). I haven't installed anything recently so there isn't a new application eating it up.
I've read that task killers aren't neccessary and also less free ram reported should mean better performance. firstly, task killers haven't done crap and i have less ram yet its running far slower than when i first got it.
Any advice?
I have the same issue on my SXL. I have also posted a question (here is the link in case I get anything back you may be able to use) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1488516
So even dual cores have this issue. How annoying, I was thinking of getting rid and getting an SE What's a good phone these days? They all seem to be going backwards...
Right guys we've got 3gbs of ram woawa. I mean that's f.ING great right ..? Ermm would be if this "unbloated" phone wasn't using 75 percent of it straight out of the box that's 2gbs
. I would imagen the reason our phones are getting extremely hot is that samsung are over loading the basics and this resulting in any extras we download from play store or where ever can't use the ram so where pushING it to the maximum. Im not massively knoelagable on ram my Knole expands to. It determind the speed of data gets handled and it's random access memory well my home pc only has 2 and it runs quite quickly
. My s4 had 2 and it was as fast as this s6. And faster once I rooted it and removed bloat wear but I'm not rooting this for at least six months so any one got any tips on keeping the ram at about 60 percent and keeping my phone from basily being a radiator
#1 Google Translate didn't help so I guess I understood 2% of your text.
#2 Package Disabler Pro on Google Play. Buy and use.
#3 Ever opened Task Manager on Windows OS and checked % ram used? No? Good.
#4 What apps are running when your phone gets extremely hot? Give us GSAM screenshots but hey... that's all about the battery again, not ram...
You're an idiot. RAM being fully used isn't a problem on Linux.

RAM is there to be used, so if 75% are used, it means that 3GB was a good choice and not wasted. Filled up RAM looks bad and wrong, but it's completely fine unless you run out of it. If you don't, then it doesn't matter, even if 75% are filled up.
The processor is the part that heats up, though a 14nm SoC shouldn't and in fact doesn't heat up too bad, unless you are gaming or doing other heavy tasks. Heat is present on all powerful phones.
As others pointed out, battery logs may help if a rogue app is running and wasting loads of resources, but it would be a start if you defined heat. Actual overheating (data please) or the occasional warm back?
Some of you need to research how Android uses RAM. Here's a good place to start:

And your a massive prick English . And I for every one else who seems to think that my phone over heating isn't bad it's over 67c I've pin pointed it down to where it's bellow 20% of battery and the let's put it like this .. more apps open more ram used more proccecer speed require the more my phone slows down yes your ****ing dim wits an Linux and Android ram works the ****ing same as a windows other wise it would be cool something different .

Nope. Its not like that, read first what other two guys wrote about RAM consumption. Load GSAM and post screenshots what is heating & draining your battery. Then we can discuss more about your overheating problems.
btw: It's You're and not Youre.

Mine sits on 80% or more used and my phone does not even get hot. Having full RAM does not overheat or slow down your phone. All that pr0n you're loading onto it is probably slowing it down
I thought I had a lean running Note 5 but I see that out of 3.58 GB, 2.64 GB is being used. I have used the Debloater program to turn off as much as I could . I have Greenify working to control that aspect of usage.
I'm curious what other Note 5 owners find as far as standard Ram usage.
Thanks
After all my disabled packages and after a good day of use I have if I am lucky around 700-800 mb free..
If I close out all programs and then run ram booster I can get anywhere from 1.5-1.8 gb free. Sometimes I see it hit 2gb free but its rare..
at bootup after about 2 minutes I will check ram and I am around 1.4-1.8
Well after a search it seems this is the way the Note 5 is. Samsung gave it more memory in order to run and not for us run properly. There's a Samsung program called Samsung Galaxy Help. It has a ram cleaner which at times bring it down to 40% usage. To get that, you have to restart ,clear out the cache in system setting , then use the Galaxy help.
May be the toasted marshmallow will help.

Rate this thread to express how the Nokia 6.1 Plus performs when multitasking. A higher rating indicates that the Nokia 6.1 Plus keeps many apps in memory so that they don't need to reload, and that when moving between apps, transitions are smooth and performance is excellent.

RAM management is Okayish
Ram management is not good. Heavy apps like pubg cannot run smootly and get reloaded when you use another app
The answer is gonna be different depending on whether you have the 4GB or 6GB version. My 6GB version is working very smooth, but I do think that the stock Pie rom closes apps a bit too aggressively. I assume this helps to save battery. My bootloader is unlocked, so eventually I plan to try out some custom roms too, and hopefully the RAM management will be a little less aggressive.
My device 6 months older now, stock ROM, now i can experience sluggishness in operation, i use stock launcher.
Sometimes it takes few sec pause to shuffle app, sharing between different apps, there are some glitches in performance now. Mine is 4gb/64gb variant.

I'm facing the same problem. While switching between apps, it freezes for a second. Don't know why this problem is. On the Mi A2, nothing like this happens. Very poor OS Management.
I don't think so. I'm using this from last one week and everything seems to be working fine. I have a lot of apps installed but they don't freeze nor does the system kills them automatically. I have enabled automatic battery management. I think you guys have little storage left in your internal memory. Try resetting your devices and it should start working fine. In case if it doesn't then it may be the wear and tear part for which I need to be prepared. Thanks.
Any custom roms improve pubg performance the device is Nokia 6.1plus 4gb reply me
hey guys ! so we all have the ram plus so we can increase it up to 8 gb
my question is if i increase it to 8 ram more will it bee better ? (smoother stronger more stable) im not playing games just for daily use
what do you say?
all the ram plus does is reserve a part of your storage to put the less used apps when using some ram intensive apps. so app switching should be faster if you use the 12gb of ram your phone comes with. but other than that i find no point to even having it enabled so i turned it off for myself via adb because i have yet to come across a reason to need more ram than that in my daily use. i did test my limits with just the 12gb by having two games running in floating window, discord in floating window and a twitch stream all at once. i did notice some lag at that point but i just wanted to see if i could.
To turn it off, have to be rooted?
