Some problems on my great oneplus one - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have this phone for over 4 years and before i buy another phone i want to fix some minor issues:
Problem nº1 - sometimes the phone get's very hot and some keys start to flip out, the power key doesn't work and when i manage to start the phone again it is on security mode or safe mode (I don't know how it is on English, my phone is in Portuguese). To get out of this safe mode is really hard and sometimes i have to restore the phone via TWRP.
Problem nº 2 - i only have 1 game in this phone - need for speed no limits - but in the last month the game keeps crashing every time i run it. In the past this does not happened so i don't know what is changed here.
Problem nº 3 - Sometimes i have the need of a better camera or camera mod but i tried to install the gcam and only the version 3.1 worked. Is there a better camera mod i could try?
My phone is rooted and i have tuga power rom android version 7.1.2
Thank you

One question: When was the last time you made a clean install?
One solution proposal: Full wipe and install Tuga power 9.0. Very stable and updated

HELP - stuck in boot (rooted cyanogen mod)

hi i have a samsung captivate i897. i bought it sim free from the states (u'm in uk) rooted running cyanogen mod & miui. i've had it 8months and its been perfect.
i'm no tech guru so i've never done anything else to the phone since i got it.
recently i hada problem with it forcing close on nearly application (see thread here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1936862) but i did a little clean up and uninstalled some apps to free up space and that seemed to help for 13 days.
today i powered it on and browser forced close so i switched if off but when i switched it on again it's now stuck in (i think its called) boot loop - i get the "samsung galaxy s" animation and cyanogen mod then i usually have one that says "xiaomi" and a little music sound play. its this one that keeps looping. so instead of getting the xiaomi animation & music once then it going to the lock/enter pin screen, it just continues to repeat.
i have no idea what to do.
i tried to long press power key but nothing happens.
really hope someone can help. i appreciate any help given but please bear in mind i'm a TOTAL NOOB at this kind of stuff so try to explain things as much as possible for me.
thanks.

Yes, you are stuck in a bootloop. Just boot into recovery and do a clean install.
Download TWRP recovery for your handset. then install using still recovery mode.
TWRP installing using current recovery mode
Installation methord:-
-use Your current recovery.
-update zip file(TWRP Recovery) from sdcard.
-ok
-Reboot your mobile.
-Then install your custom rom using latest recover mode (TWRP Recovery).

A custom recovery is quite likely already installed. Just do the key combination at boot (for your device) to boot into recovery mode. You'd only need that if you want to change the current recovery.

+1. I have a HTC One X that was stuck in bootloop a couple of days ago. I think I flashed some wrong files which caused this issue. I then followed the steps in the Android Revolution HD ROM thread and voila! - had a clean install running smoother than ever! I didn't mind losing all of my data (since everything was already backed up on my PC).
Just do a clean install and your phone will work perfectly fine.
I'd suggest you to start your phone in recovery mode and re-install the software (if you cannot backup your files).

screen flicking on a low level of brighneess

How to fix it? Tablet p3100.Android 4.1.2. Maybe here is some CM mode or another solution. I cant reading from it.Help he please....
PS:Tablet is out of warranty. He was in a service but come back with upgraded/reinstalled firmware with this problem. I think it a software bug...
Turn up the brightness until it stops flickering and then install Screen Filter to lower the brightness. This is not a fix but a solution.

it is possibly the kernel..
as the screen flickering problem is faced when the power supplied to the device is not proper, try doing this:
1.Use your tab till the battery is red (critically low )
2. Use even more until its 1 %
3. Now open your file manager and start pasting something from internal memory card to external memory card
4. Connect it to pc via usb (when connected to pc via usb the tab does not get charged, neither it gets discharged, but whn you do a heavy process like copy pasting then it gets discharged )
5. This causes the hardware to be confused where to send the power and your screen starts to flicker, as the copy pasting process is given priority to use power .
and you have the flickering problem
Now in a kernel ,
there are scripts written in C , that are responsible for the supply of power to the device, so there might be some blunder in the scripting causing this problem.
so u can do ny one of these to solve it
1. Try finding a kernel that you can flash on your current rom
2. Try flashing the your current rom again (do not forget to wipe)
3. Use the stock rom for your region.
And if none of the three helps then i guess its a hardware problem..
But the changes of that hapening is real low.... Cuz there are resisters that protects the hardware from such things (atleast in all samsung devices they are present) ..

[Q] Safe mode problem...

Hello to all,
Have an issue that i have trawled the forum for but have not found any solution, not any that work anyway.
I have a rooted Cooper, currently running CM 10.1, 4.2.2 and the problem i have is that every time i re-boot
or indeed boot from off, it loads into safe mode (shows in bottom LH corner) i've tried the button pressing and
the battery removal, cleared all, reset til the cows come home and yet safe mode is still active.
Has anyone encountered the same problem and has found a permanent solution????
Appreciate any input.....
Thanks
*Update*
I have just flashed the SGS III/IV JB V12-BETA and now instead of safe mode i have cocaine found ;0) same problem different rom.
*Update 2*
The above Rom has a feature in the power off screen= Reboot then hot reboot, phone reboots into normal running.
Not really a fix but a easy way to get out of safe mode...Still would like to find a permanent solution.
I'm having the same issue. Hopefully any input can help?

If you wanted to install a new rom then, it'll provide an easy way to turn safe mode off.

[Q] [ZTE V970m] Critical Battery Shutdown Problem

Hi,
I own a ZTE v970m (duh) and I am running superdragonpt's [WIP] [JB 4.2.2] ZTE v970/v970m (MT6577) ROM.
I was running bgcngm's ROM before I flashed this one.
This has happened before, but after hours of searching the web I could not find a answer, so here I am.
With some ROMs I've flashed (including the current one) my phone somehow stops shutting down automatically when the battery reaches <1% (btw I still get the Low Battery warning at 15%), what happens is that, when it runs empty, suffers a hard shutdown (duh) and when I put it charging and I try to turn it on (even hours of charging later) I get a black screen (attachment) with a battery icon, some green bars and a hourglass. And a Bolt (no pun intended)
When this happens I usually lose my phone for 1-3 days, so if anyone could help, I'd be greatly appreciated.
PS: I really wanna stay with this ROM, so I'm kinda hoping for a fix/another 4.2 ROM for this phone.
PSS: Just remembered the red notification light switches on/off from time to time 30s-1m(maybe)
Sorry for the pic. quality :c
Thanks.
[Forgot to Mention]
I'm using the stock kernel (probably :B).
Was going to flash this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2698984 but ran out of juice 1st.
Phone is charging since the 1st post, waiting for it to come back to life, no SIM nor SD inserted just because. Also if you know how to skip this battery icon charging stuff (or make it take less time) I'd be thankful.
So if any of you needs more info, just ask.
And, hopefully I have put this on the correct forum :fingers-crossed:
-waiting on replies-
Thanks,
UPDATE
Finally got it to boot! :victory:
Holded POWER + VOL DOWN for a century and got to the factory mode screen -> which looked like this (1.jpg)
After failing to read :silly: I found this (translation credits to: CarriePW):
1. factory mode
2. complete test
3. single ** test (not clear)
4. test report
5. clear.mmc
6. version information
7. reboot the phone
So, I'll try to flash the kernel now, and see if the problem remains
Pending Questions:
Is there any other 4.2 Android ROM for this phone (that's not MIUI or LewaOS)? Or a fix for this one?
To anyone that flashed this ROM, did this ever happened to you?
Could it be the kernels fault? (In all of the ROMs I've ever flashed, I never did touch the kernel, so..)
Can I flash another factory mode? (In a language I can understand '-')
And, if I'm being a noob, please take the time to kindly reprehend me
Thanks,
BUMP(?)
Same problem yesterday..
Thinking of going back to the (rooted) stock ROM.. (Opinions?)
A [Q]: If I choose "wipe battery stats" on my CWM-based recovery, could it help?
PS: Using bgcngm's [4.1.1] 1.3MOD ROM now.. with superdragonpt's kernel.

Please relax as all of our phones say that now. I have to say it is quite annoying at times but it will not affect your phone in any negative way. The only coception is that you must watch to make sure you hit the power key when that comes on. If you ever forget it will keep rebooting to that screen and all you have to do is remove the battery and make sure to hit power the next time. I wish there was a way to get rid of it, but the only way is to lock bootloader again. I have never triedbpersonally but have heard it will brick your device because of twrp and the modification to the system. It could be fixed if you decide to try. It would just be a pain in the butt...lol I hope this helps...

XxThat partisa little tricky. From off:
Press & hold both buttons for about two full seconds. At this point release ONLY the power button, but only for half a second. Immediately! press it again (Never let go of volume down) Keep holding until you see a White Screen popup asking to factory reset. Now you can let go of Vol key. Select yes, and then ANOTHER white screen will ask you the same thing, to confirm the first screen. Select yes again. IMMEDIATELY start holding down both vol down and power again. You'll see a warning screen pass by. Let go of power key and quickly press again and hold (never letting go of volume) soon the red lwd light will come on and the splash screen for twrp will start and you re in.
It does take some patience and good timing. In time it becomes second nature and you learn to set up ways to boot directly to recovery from your operating system that way you don't have to do all the key crap. Lol. Make sure when you installed twrp that you removed the battery to power off phone. Also if you have booted your phone to use it without going into twrp first to finish the instructions from the post, which I'm sure you have, i couldn't go without my phone for long. You are going to have to do the install of twrp again. It is very important to boot into twrp first otherwise the stock system will overwrite twrp with it's own recovery again. It sucks but since your boot loader is already unlocked you won't lose all your data this time around. It's just connecting to your computer and using the fast boot commands that you used before. Make sure your twrp.img is in the same folder location as your fastboot\adb and you'll be golden.
Good luck

Sweet. I'm glass I could help. There are a couple of great custom ROMs that are available for this device now. You came at the perfect time. We hand only had these for a couple weeks now. And the gutta that have been working on them have kicked some major butt.

This one and the next are both well refined and only have a couple of bugs that are being worked on. I would re commend these for the moment of you are looking for something for a daily driver that you can set up and forget. The remix has a lot of themeing built into it and the lineage is a classic with tons of streamlining and minimal bloat. Very good on these mid range phones.

The only thing that I have heard to work is to go back to your rom that you registered your fingerprint on and delete them manually from that rom. So restore your backup and delete from there. If there isn't a backup than I suppose you could try to manually reinstall stock and make new prints and then delete them, then try to switch rom. I'm not sure why that has been a problem and I personally don't use fp to unlock phone, so I am not the best for advice on this. I hope you figure it out
