Long time Pixel user, just switched over. I'm looking for the easiest way to add the Google now feed to the Pixel launcher. Can anyone tell me the easiest way of going about this?

Looks like you're purchasing Nova Launcher. Then download the NovaGoogleCompanion addon.

Search for rootless launcher on play store!
Nova launcher is your best bet. Works very good with nova companion. Lawnchair is also very good only less custumisation with lawnchair.
I recommend rootless launcher as well, looks very very similar to stock oneplus launcher.

I think lawnchair v2 is precisely what you are looking for.
If you want to use the OnePlus Launcher, just add the Google App shortcut to your homescreen. Simple, easy, effective.
Rootless Launcher(Play Store) with Rootless Pixel Bridge V3 apk(Google Search). Install the Launcher from the Play Store, Set it as the default Home screen. Then install the Rootless Pixel Bridge apk. Reboot.
You will need to enable the feature in the Homescreen settings window before it will work...
I also use the Xperia Clock widget to go with it(Digital Clock Widget Xperia) from the Play Store. I turn off the date and weather on it, just to get the minimilst clock.

I use it on my 7 Pro, it works fine, play store wants to update it but as long as auto update is disabled you'll be fine
No bull****, I just got my US T-Mobile model, and right out of the box (with zero updates), the home screen settings give you the option for both the OnePlus "shelf", but also the Google Feed. I just long pressed the home screen, select settings, then "left most screen", and finally select Shelf or Google App. Viola.See the attached screenshots.
Well that sucks for us international OnePlus owners. We don't have that option...
Anyway we can get the T-Mobile launcher??

TMobile OnePlus 7 Pro over here, the version that we have is version 3.3.3.190513214235.cea38c0.

Trying to switch to Nova Launcher. Changing the default launcher to Nova doesn't stick. The default keeps resetting automatically back to EMUI. Looking for a solution.
i have the mate 9 and nova launcher prime, on my phone it sticks to nova launcher, you have to set the default to nova launcher and then keep pressing the back button until you exit the setting pages. If you close the settings after it may create problems. Also, you can set default voice control to google launcher3 this will enable google now to be on all the time and on any screen. This works well on my phone. Also if you install google Allo app, then you will get google assistant on that app, so when you say "ok google, open google allo app", you will get google assistant. My experience with the mate 9 has been good, but overall i think the galaxy s7 edge wins hand down. If you are considering getting the mate 9 pro, then dont, get the s7 edge and then upgrade to s8 that will be launched in march/april 2017.

Thanks, that's how I do it. But, EMUI still keeps taking over.
Go to default application settings and choose nova as default.

Have you installed nova prime?,
If you have, then follow the steps i posted, if it still doesnt work, factory reset your phone and then install nova prime first and then google launcher3 app straight afterwards. This will stop any other apps from drawing over nova and google launcher., plus you will have nova and google now from any screen by saying "google now", also if you install google allo app, then saying "ok google open up google allo app, you will get google assistant. Google assistant is loaded into allo app. Drop me email and let me now how you get on. This works for me, even if i reboot phone it still works. I think when you are selecting nova launcher as default app, huawei home is drawing over that app to set itself to default. Also in app permissions you should select yes for everything for nova (trusted app) and also google launcher3. This will then allow nova and google launcher3 (which is the newer version of google now) to draw over apps you install afterwards.
Please email me and let me know how you get on, i am sure it will work after you do this...,

It works, but after a while EMUI becomes default again.
One of my buddys have the same Problem. But he get a Error Message that the Nova Launcher get a conflict with EMUI.

Enabling "Agressive Desktop" in Nova settings seems to have fixed this.
This is driving me crazy. Only happens occasionally. The only pattern I can detect is in the car with Waze and Google Music playing through Bluetooth which seems to nearly always result in Huawei Home becoming the default launcher.
Tried the above and granting Nova and Nova prime "ignore battery optimization" all to no avail.
I am using the Chinese Mate on B153.
Any further suggestions?

I have the same issue driving me nuts.
I contacted nova and they suggested uninstalling nova and reinstalling which I did ok for a night then the same problem .
I hope once I get my bootloader code and install the europe ROM it might help if it keeps doing it it's a deal breaker for me I think
Been using a combo of Google now and nova launcher for a week.

Are you using any other Huawei default apps? Think I might have had issues with message and email app.

Article went up on androidauthority today. It was about mate 9 issues and fixes. Might want to check it out. Doubt there is anything new there though.
Have you factory reset yet? Reinstalled ROM/update. It's definitely a bug

I've had the same problem when running Chinese firmware. This problem, thank goodness, does not exist with non-Chinese firmware.

Is anyone else having issues using any custom launcher from the Google play store? For example, when Nova is installed and set as the launcher, when going home from an app the animation leads to a strange overlay with both the Nova and stock launcher on the display. I've attached a photo to illustrate the issue. It's worth mentioning that I'm on the latest stock China rom, nothing done to the phone at all.

Delete data/cache of miui launcher from app menù is better
You guys should try the pocophone launcher on play store. It works great
Pocophone launcher is nice... but it lacks the Google feed integration. Otherwise I would use it.

Action launcher is good and has the Google feed, smooth and good customisation
Never had this issue on any Rom and I'm using nova launcher since I got the device.

I have never had that issue. However, using a custom launcher and trying to change the lock screen background doesn't seem to work on custom launchers unless you are using a theme. If you change the lock screen background though on the default launcher and then switch launchers, it does stick.
Hi all, as you can see I am a junior user so I'm not sure if this is in the correct place. I was hoping someone could share the Launcher from T-Mobile firmware. Primarily for the Google Now feed.
On the 6T the only way it was possible to get the TMobile launcher with the Google feed to work on a non TMobile 6T was with a magisk module. You may need to try that and see if it works

Action launcher has a Google now integration that works great. However, you must have premium.

Does the Nova launcher take advantage of the 90hz screen? Or does it reduce to 60hz? That's my only worry about swapping launchers.

I use nova launcher and it appears to use 90hz, it is very fluid and even with Google Feed back, compared to my OnePlus 6 i could see a huge difference and with QHD too

OPPO also blocks third-party Launcher, at least in the CN version. You can only deactivate the original launcher.

I installed nova launcher first and then used abd to uninstall com.oppo.launcher .
Nova launcher started, but the task button and gestures did not work.
How did you switch without problem?

Not sure how you'd do it without the oppo launcher being installed. I just made Nova Launcher the default when asked. Try App Management, Default Apps

My find x2 pro is probably the Chinese version.
On default app in app management, i can't show choice for system apps.
So I'm looking for other way to change it with adb etc.

I had the CN x2, but the restrictions were too big and I sold it again. 1. I hope that there will be a root as soon as it falls below 1000 euros in Europe and is therefore affordable for more people. Had my search, because of Nova, found this and it went pretty well. Only important for the CN version

I contacted Oppo's support about third party launcher. They seems suprised it is not possible to use another one. They will look deeper in this issue as , for the moment, it is not possible to select another launcher as homescreen in default apps, for chinese rom.
I hope they will deploy a fix for it
Finally, Oppo's support just answered me that this feature is not supported by this device.
I am quite disappointed and think about selling this great phone in order to go to another brand ( maybe oneplus 8 pro )....

It's supported on non-CN models. Only CN locks out launcher switch. Same with the 5 autostart Apps.

Which feature is not supported?
you can't chnage the laucnher unless you adb the phone and uninstall it, and then the buttom gestures don't work.

Receivced my Pro 6 yesterday and very happy so far.
I normally use Nova as my launcher but on the CN ROM its not certified by Xiaomi so will not "stick" as the default.
Switched to Microsoft Launcher wich is behaving fine - screen shot of my homepage attached.
Any other Launchers that people are aware of that are Certified on CN ROM ?
I use the Nova launcher on it as well, and it works fine.
I remember, that I'Ve had the same issue as you with the setting not being persisted.
If you set your default launcher via the nova launcher settings page, it persists without a problem.
Maybe you want to change the title of the thread? We are talking about launchers, not browsers.

Interesting.. I did manage to set Nova as the launcher via it's own setting but after a reboot it reverted to stock and wouldnt let me set as default.
Will try again.
And yes, spotted my mistake re Launcher in title. I did fix it.
I'm not a 100% sure since it's been weeks, but I think I also disabled the default launcher with "universal android debloater".

The popup about certification seems to appear when you play with the Homepage search bar in Nova.

On my Samsung Tab S8+ I removed the search bar and did a backup.
It restored fine to the Tab 6 and this time all works fine

I have the Pad 6 not Pro and when I use Nova I cannot use gestures, only buttons are available. Is there any way to get gestures while using Nova.
