Pixel 3 what security date it ships now from store? - Google Pixel 3 Questions & Answers

I bought it now and noticed that it shipped with September 2018 security patch just wandering what it ships for you when you bought it recently ?

It varies based on how long the unit has been on the shelf or in the distribution network for that retailer. It will update to the latest versions automatically, one at a time, or you can sideload the full OTA for the latest one and skip all the incremental updates.

Thinking of picking one up, but, how often does Samsung update the os? Does it get regular security updates like the flagship phones? Saw a a user recently reported they got a blueborne security update along with a value pack 3 update from a us carrier, did anyone else get this update or blueborne patch yet in Australia?
Thanks
Edit, just found out, as of Oct 20, latest availble security uodate for Australia is R760XXXU2AQC
Anyone know what security fixes this has?

Firmware updates are MIA

So where are the monthly security patches? I'm on the current software and is still August first security patch. Aren't we supposed to get a monthly patch from Samsung? Didn't they advertise that for all future phones after the S7?
I owned an S8+ and it got monthly updates for 3 or 4 months, now those have stopped too.
Anyone know what the deal is? Not even sure it's an AT&T issue. Looks like no Samsung phones are beyond Android 7.1.1 August 1st security patch.
Only applies to unlocked devices.
Carrier devices are managed differently.

When new security update for S7? Latest was March 1st.

I read Samsung will only be pushing (Google) security updates every 3 months for the S7, but the latest was March 1st, so when is a new security update to be expected? Anybody already received one? I live in Belgium in case location matters. Normally should have been June 1st if cycle is 3 months.
Second, can we only expect 1 more year of security updates from Samsung for the S7 or could it be longer? Places like Amazon.de (Germany) still sell new S7 models.

Question First time Samsung user here. I need urgent help about Android updates.

I recently bought the A32 5G (SM-A326B/DS) in United Arab Emirates. The phone came with November 2021 security patch level (PDA: A326BXXU4AUJ6) and it seems no other updates are available, at least at this time. According to this website, that's actually the latest available firmware.
When I check this model in other locations, it seems updates are released more frequently. My old Motorola received security patches every two month. I never had a Samsung phone before and I am a little concerned about this.
According to Samsung's website, A32 5G should receive security patches every three month, but now four months are past without any updates.
Is it normal for Samsung A series to receive updates so late?

no it isn't, maybe it's your carrier's fault

Question Pixel 7 Pro Sideloading Update from Nov 5 to Jan 5 2023

Hi! I just sideload an ota update for my pixel 7 pro. from it being stuck on Nov 5 2022, my carrier is T-Mobile. and is not updating for quite a while now. my question right now is....
Would it be okay to skip the december update? sideloading or updating it from november to january already? won't it have problems and such? like missing features ? thank you
I would say the bigger issue is why aren't you getting updates and why are you sideloading an ota? I hope you are getting the firmware from Google which would be installing and not from a 3rd party( sideloading).

Ah, T-Mobile. Yeah, they and Google Fi (which uses T-Mobile) seem to be having problems with recent OTA updates. Widely reported that some on this network are not getting their OTA updates.
Yeah, you can sideload the full January OTA zip without having any problems. It will include all previous fixes, updates, etc..
Latest Google Pixel updates have been delayed on T-Mobile and Google Fi for many
Recent monthly updates launched for Google Pixel phones appear to be on pause at T-Mobile as the carrier appears to be working on a fix.

Pixel 6, Pixel 7 users on T-Mobile fail to receive January update; others still stuck on November
T-Mobile subscribers with Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series phones have not received the January update; some haven't received an update since November.

T-Mobile and Google Fi seem to not issue updates on their users which makes us stucked on the November 5 Update. and ye there's few bugs here and there which makes me sideload the ota update from google jan 5 2023.
