When new security update for S7? Latest was March 1st. - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

I read Samsung will only be pushing (Google) security updates every 3 months for the S7, but the latest was March 1st, so when is a new security update to be expected? Anybody already received one? I live in Belgium in case location matters. Normally should have been June 1st if cycle is 3 months.
Second, can we only expect 1 more year of security updates from Samsung for the S7 or could it be longer? Places like Amazon.de (Germany) still sell new S7 models.

Thinking of picking one up, but, how often does Samsung update the os? Does it get regular security updates like the flagship phones? Saw a a user recently reported they got a blueborne security update along with a value pack 3 update from a us carrier, did anyone else get this update or blueborne patch yet in Australia?
Thanks
Edit, just found out, as of Oct 20, latest availble security uodate for Australia is R760XXXU2AQC
Anyone know what security fixes this has?

Does Samsung update their unlocked phones?

I'm sitting here on February security patch mid April. I bought the unlocked 10e thinking it would get updates faster since that's how it's been worth every other unlocked phone I've bought. I must've been wrong though.
They just released the March one today for most people on carriers
Don't worry about it, we will get it soon.
April 12 2019 OTA
Just installed, they fixed the adaptive brightness(I think), but not the promised "super night mode".
Yeah I got it today too.

August security update??

Unlocked Samsung fold 2, and we are still stuck on August's security update? Should I have received an update by now? View attachment 5117485

Supposedly we unlocked folks are last in line for updates after the carrier locked ones.
This is my first time with a Samsung device and this is weird to me since Samsung advertises the Fold2 as a monthly updated device.
Whats weird is the don't even pump something out for the unsupported eSIM, it's crap it isn't functional at this point. Should have been an early patch addressing it world wide as it's already fixed in some markets.

This does seem odd to me that Samsung hasn't even given us September let alone October firmware/Security Patches.
I wonder if this issue happened with the OG Fold? Like Samsung Tablets, maybe Samsung was thinking that they wouldn't sell that many Z Fold2's and we'd be the last to receive any updates.
Has anyone seen any sales stats on the Z Fold2 yet?
This while release gives me a bad taste in my mouth the more it sinks in. A $2000 phone with no case included, no headphones, no special anything. Nothing made this purchase special. Then, the software we are all using hasn't had an update for 2+ months.

T-Mobile Fold 2, no updates yet. : (
My original fold has the September patches. Really unacceptable to still be on August with our Z Fold 2.

Everyone on the eastern hemisphere probably has the Sept update. Meanwhile the western is sitting at Aug patch. If you look on Sammobile, Singapore was the last place to get Aug patch on 9/16. Then on 10/4 got the Sept patch. We got our first patch around 9/13. Maybe they're finally finished over there and can show us some love over here.
I'll be damn, they now rolling out Oct patch to some peeps that have the Sept patch lol. They may as well just give us the Oct patch now.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G Security Updates

Hi,
I had purchased the Korean version of the Z fold 2 SM-F916N here in the UAE, its PDA is F916NKSU1ATK1 and CSC is F916NOKR1ATK1, yes it SK Telecom carrier tagged, but i can use with local service provider Etisalat without any issue except for Samsung Pay, what i wanted to know is why its still showing the October 2020 security patch as the latest, anybody having the same model got the November or December security patch?
Also will there any issues if I flash the phone to UAE CSC (XSG) from the current Korean CSC (KSU) ?
Thanks
Hi, I'm in the US. I have an unlocked, direct from Samsung Fold 2. I'm still on the Nov security patch. Samsung's time line for Android 11/One UI 3.0 update is Feb 2021. My guess is, I will get the December and Jan patch later this month. I would anticipate you getting those updates as well. Your updates may take a little longer only because it is carrier branded and so there is yet another chef in the kitchen, so to speak.
*Not sure about the flashing, sorry.
How can you still be on November security update living in USA? I have unlocked Fold using on AT&T network and I have December security update already since December 19, 2020?

Thanks for your reply, yeah I get what you are saying with "another chef in the kitchen", carriers take their own sweet time pushing the updates, they have their own schedules as opposed to Samsung's monthly updates for premium flagships, was hoping it would be different with the Z Fold 2, being also an expensive phone.

Same. I'm a little confused by their timing with updates, however take as long as you need if it's going to ensure a good experience. Cheers

Depends where you buy it. The non carrier unlock receives updates last. Which why we still on Nov update. Once all carrier are approved we get pushed the update.

Notify Update

Question First time Samsung user here. I need urgent help about Android updates.

I recently bought the A32 5G (SM-A326B/DS) in United Arab Emirates. The phone came with November 2021 security patch level (PDA: A326BXXU4AUJ6) and it seems no other updates are available, at least at this time. According to this website, that's actually the latest available firmware.
When I check this model in other locations, it seems updates are released more frequently. My old Motorola received security patches every two month. I never had a Samsung phone before and I am a little concerned about this.
According to Samsung's website, A32 5G should receive security patches every three month, but now four months are past without any updates.
Is it normal for Samsung A series to receive updates so late?

no it isn't, maybe it's your carrier's fault
