thanks. it works great. but just a heads up, zen mode also stops music playback. I couldn't find anything on the internet about this. I was hoping I could use it to immerse myself in the music

But nothing is audible while recording, right?
I tested it on my Oneplus 5T the video is great and it record the internal sound but sound not heard in the earphones or the speaker while recording with internal sound.
My device is running OOS Beta 30 ROM

Do you hear any sound while recording with internal audio?
Because I just downgraded from oos beta 30 to oos 9.0.5 the results are the same with oos 9.0.5 having a weak audio

Hmm there is no audio output WHILE recording, but it does properly play in the recording for me

yes this is because the sound is casting so not ouput to your earphone or speaker

Well that's kinda useless for mobile gaming... Especially if it's a shooter or something where audio is necessary...

On OOS beta 32, you can record the internal audio and there is sound output. Perfect

Hi everyone. Wenn I brows through the forum, I never finded setting or mods for audio by mido.
It could be stay everything about sound mode in this one place. Please, put here your knowledges about best sound mods for Miui roms and Oreo roms. Whats the best.
For example. Now I use Omni rom on my mido and also it has own equaliser, the sound, volume, I made through the another kernel( Franco) and kernel audiutor - sound - volume steps. Bass and trebble about dolby atmos. Somebody from us need higher volume on ringing, outsides jobs etc.
Thanx all for your posting and knowledges.

I have installed Viper through Magisk and is working flawlessly! I am on RR Remix 8.1.0 by Endless!
Maybe it's late, but I still come with a recommendation--poweramp is the best choice for you.
I 've tried dolby,viperfx,audiofx, ainur, mi sound enhancer and so on, among which viperfx and mi sound enhancer(in miui) are the best ones.
But I have to say that they cause the quality of sound a little bad, and if you don't care much about the details of sound, you can try them.
The reason why I recommend poweramp is that poweramp hardly ever affect the quality of sound even if you set maximum bass and treble.

Yeah that's true but Poweramp is not Oreo friendly for now, it's unstable and the notification controls are useless. It's my favourite music player but it's painful to use in Oreo ROMs.
Miui + Ainur + Dirac sound best to me.
Where can I download dirac sound?

Unlocked bootloader
Magisk 16.x
1. Low volume fix on earphones/speakers, especially on games like PUBG, ROS, etc.

2. Increased earphone volume with value of 5.

also , there are 2 files , you can compare patch and restore archives to see which values are different

Any idea how to change the filters on the audio recording? I noticed that during video recording the audio seems to have a high pass filter. Meaning almost no bass.
@devcon69 and @kodorevi8ulis.
Thanks again, its working fine now but now output while listening to music on headphones is way loud, more like sound is getting distorted at full volume.
I will try to increase the volume by 4 in that case.

Nope, record a song with bass and then listen to the recording with a headphones. Seems that there is a high pass filter like at 150Hz or so.

I really don't know what you edited. Everything is posted here. You just edit the files according to your liking and find which is better. I've tried this and it all worked fine for me, well to my ears.. If you don't like the effect then restore the default settings.

I try on my redmi note 5 and everything is great. After update my mi earphones low sound in pubg and after install all is great. Record sound great also.

Since when did I mock [email protected] about his English? I asked YOU about the high pass filter and even posted asking you to test this with a track with some bass and headphones. To me that is a very clear question. I'm a non native English speaker, so stop blaming of something which I did not do at all, that is just false accusation and not done! Maybe we should have some moderators have a look at this?

If you have flashed the patch zip then restore it.
Open the patch zip file and extract and replace only one file: audio_policy_configuration.xml using root explorer.
Then set the permissions of newly created come as of other files.
Then restart. It's done

Because the built in screen recorder takes the video at compressed 720p instead of 1080p

Most of the built-in screen recording apps are very limited, both on phones and PCs. I recommend that you always install a third-party screen recorder or screenshot app because you will take the time to figure it out once, but you will have much more video recording and editing options. For example, I currently use Movavi Screen Recorder on Windows. I'm a university student, and we have couples through Google Meet, and Movavi helps me a lot in that I can record a lesson and then watch it again if I forgot something or I'm not sure about something.
