Did you try the suggestion of using Pro mode and change the [AWB] level to manual and adjust the slider until you find the correct white balance?
its always hard to compensate warm yellow lights. You have to understand how photogrpahy and your eyes are working. And other thing is that the new sensor on P30/P30 pro uses an RYYB filter instead of RGGB. SO even harder to conpensate the colour temperature.
thzere are tons of articles about colour temperature, compensationa, RYYB filter array on camera chip etc.

yes but there seems to be no help with such lighting ... it's stupid how much the phone costs without having this kind of problem ... the first time i encountered this problem ... i used samsung before and it wasn't like this so now this is new ... except for this problem and the worse sound of a really great phone ..

ok then well i suggest using the warranty if you still have it
if not, and a replacement will cost too much, then try to avoid it as it doesnt effect the usability of the device. ive heard this is an ongoing issue with the i900
best thing is to ignore it

Good day Sirs
I would just like to ask if there are any of you guys that has encountered this issue/bug on s8+'s back camera using Pro mode and high shutter speed settings (as you move the shutter speed to high)
the issue usually presents itself when I go to Pro mode and use high shutter speed settings which is 1/500 and up and usually indoors
got to test this on two demo units and only 1 also has this
could you any of you guys post your images with the said settings or if you guys had it replicated...
the issue/bug is already right there at the preview screen
so what you see on my images is also what i see on my screen... the only difference is the dark lines are moving sideways on the preview screen
please help me on this Sirs
will bring my unit at the service center this weekend
btw, I have the S8+ exynos version
here are the shots

updat
I just visited Samsung Service Center this weekend and they have replicated the issue on one of their demo units and told me that they will forward myconcern in their main office...
And hopefully could hear from them ASAP...
Any of you guys has replicated this bug/issue?
I think its a normal limitation isn't it? Light level is probably too low which is why its more prevelant indoors as well. I'd venture to say all of the s8's do this (including mine). Don't panic mate. Just enjoy the phone.

been doing that since day 1... hehehe! thanks! all i'm thinking right now is that I'm not gonna use that setting indoors or in low-light anyways
Looks like a pattern very typical of fluorescent lighting + fast shutter speed - I think it's called "banding". Pretty sure I can see flouro lights in a reflection in a couple of photos. Find a constant/non-flickering light source like an incandescent bulb and try it. Notice how it isn't doing it on your laptop display?
Your camera is not faulty and it is not a bug.
50/60 Hz flickering?
My bad, the last two posters are correct. I think that's exactly what the problem is. The banding is caused by the frequency of the lights.
Yup, I but these pics are all being taken under fluorescent lighting.
Does anyone found this issue on xperia 5 camera ?
when i open camera app and turn to 2X Lens(1X Len is not find this issue) the Camera interface was shake and shake 。It just not like an hardware problem, more like software problem. Is someone have ability to fix the problem? (I will set .gif under it)

I can't replicate this on mine.
Well, i have received an explanation from a bro, which have find the same situation. He just think that it related to brightness. When the sensor detect the brightness is enough, the 2X camera will run, if it detect brightness is not enough the camera will change to 1X camera. Sothat, when the light in a embarrassing situation(no brightness enough and also not realy dark) this issus will happen, two cameras switch and switch, realy quickly and also again here is a kind of explanation ,so am i.
Try video Pro

Yeah I see what you did there XD. Neat trick.
High light/contrast on the computer screen and no light on the Keyboard...you're asking for problems.
Have you tried using the Pro video app. That's going to get a better shot than the standard camera app.
While I can't possibly see the reason for attempting this kind of shot in low light conditions. I have sort or re-created it on mine but the camera wants to focus on where i hold my finger/thumb; which has next to no visual queues for the hardware/software to recognise so it will do what your are seeing.
I agree that the camera has become a little sluggish in 2X mode in low light. But to be honest I wouldn't have bothered until you posted this.
It's doing exaclty what I would expect it to do under the conditions.
Hi guys new to Samsung after many years aways (my last true Samsung usage was a Galaxy S2. I bought a s20 plus but didn't get on with it at all)
I have a snapdragon s22 ultra and am getting used to the ai hdr applied to photos. Obviously very different to Huawei (who I feel still have the upper hand) but I've picked up some issues of reflections and highlights being cast blue or purple and it's very unfortunate.
Anyone else seen this? I think Samsung have some work to do, in the same vein as the sports mode or shutter priority mode to avoid blurry photos of our kids or pets.

Thank you have tried but doesn't fix it. I think the ai is misreading scenes and applying the effect to reflections and brighter white colours
you could try using pro mode, i know it doesnt fix the problem at its core but would help you take better pictures

Appreciate the assistance. My only gripe with Pro mode is upping shutter speed alone still leaves you with shoddy looking but less blurry images in lower light situations. The huaweis show just how much images are fixed in post using ai - their Pro mode on the mate 40 Pro produces barely usable images as the chromatic aberration and noise just goes mad
do you know your way around android, you could try extracting or finding a huawei camera apk, signing it, and try to install it on your device, may not work, but it may also with some manipulation, wont do any harm to try

Yeah I'm into tech but not that inclined. I'm just hoping Samsung makes some changes to benefit all
I get this type of image with nightmode on ultrawide lens, check the red patch around the yellow night bulb,i think there scene optimiser is not working properly in some instances, when I use pro mode or extra raw app this doesn't show even with dialling same settings as nightmode image
Hi, can anyone advise - how to get rid od this blinking Red light visible in the photo?
It's not related to any notifications and it's herę throughout whole day, both on filmy charged and discharging battery.
This might be proximity sensor - but still - blinking like crazy all the time.
It's POCO X5 PRO with Android 12 / MIUI 14.

It stops when locked.
Then, after unlocking, 1/10 times it stops; but 9/10 times it's still there.
Ok, so that's because of the adaptive lightness. When AL turned on, this red light is there and pulsating. No option to minimaze it though?
Even I am having the same issue if u turn off your auto brightness it will off,

Hi,
No, no resolution for this so far. I was advised by support in Poland to submit feedback in Settings -> Service and feedback.
Maybe it would be fixed with update but no response from them after the feedback.
Can you submit one as well? LET'S SHOW THEM WE'RE NOT ALONE!!!
