LOCA Glue Fingerprint issue - Samsung Galaxy S10 Accessories

Guys I just noticed, that the Number of the LOCA Glue is important for a working fingerprint sensor.
I just LOCA 1000 for my first tempered glass and my fingerprint sensor worked flawlessly.
On the downside my Glas was easy to remove und easy to break with low force.
Afterwards I decided to test a thicker loca 2500 glue which is pretty good in terms of stability but my fingerprint sensor is hard to get recognised. I worked out that I have now to press harder on the sensor in order to get work but the tempered glass is now more stable and feels better now (more stable).
For whitedome users, bear in mind that u should buy a extra glue in order to work with that kind of glass.
I bought my on aliexpress and it is pretty good for that cheap price

Clairvue XTglass Review

As promised her is my short review on the Clairevue XT glass screen protector.
First off it cost me 23 dollars. It has a great coating and feels real nice. Easy to install without issues. It does have the proximity sensor cutout so no problems there. The only complain I have is that it is a bit smaller than the screen so it doesn't cover it completely. I find this kinda lame and doesn't make much sense since the screen is flat and could have easily been done. The protector does have sloping edges so chipping should be reduce.
I used a cheaper Chinese glass piece that I had on the front but screwed up the proximity sensor. I moved this to th back and to my surprise it fit perfectly. The only down fall is there is light bloom cause by the flash now .
Anyways here are some pics, any question I'll gladly answer.

Screen protectors

Which screen protector do you use, and which is the best?
I got myself Makibes Toughened Glass and while it does the job well (rounded edges, totally transparent, lots of accessories to clean and put it on screen) i find it a bit grippy. I come from Nexus 4, and compared to that screen this one is not so smooth when running a finger over it (It is smooth compared to some plastic protectors though).
It does not cover proximity sensor or camera. Do protectors never cover that?
Did you find a perfect screen protector? I am thinking of buying a new one that has everything like this one but less grippy
I have a Nillkin 9H and its really smooth, i would say its like the original screen when i run my finger over it i'm totally satisfied. Btw, it covers the frontcam.
I'm also using a Nillkin 9H screen protector, same as rob rich. I also think the feeling is like the original screen in terms of smoothness and feeling. It does cover the front camera as rob rich also said. In my opinion, the screen protector is much more resistant to fingerprints as well. Not saying the original screen is a fingerprint magnet, but fingerprints get more stuck on the original screen than the screen protector.
It don't cover the proximity sensor (which is a good thing imo), because A LOT of times when the proximity sensor is covered by a screen protector, it will behave very strangely. You can google about screen protectors and proximity sensors and you will find a lot of information about it. Why would you even want to cover the proximity sensor anyway?
I got Nillkin 9H.
I like it enough, it is similar as the one i had before, but it is not as smooth as Nexus 4, which is the reason i bought it in the first place.
So my search for a screen protector that does not "grip" continues
http://www.themrgadget.gr/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=5045
i use this 9h glass, probably not from a well-known brand.. works fine though, smooth to the touch
I'm also using the Nilkin 9H+ Screen Protector and it works really good.

Full cover tempered glass with loca adhesive

So I ordered myself a full cover tempered glass online thru ebay. I knew the glass would only have adhesive at the edges, I wasn't able find any with adhesive in the middle but I thought about maybe using loca to fill the gap between the screen and tempered glass and I gotta say I'm pretty happy with the results. So to anyone that has some experience with loca repairs I'd suggest trying it out. If you've never used loca then I would suggest not trying it as it might end up being a messy project and you could damage your screen if you have loca seepage. I'm extremely happy with this phone now, touch panel is as responsive as if it didn't have any screen protector. I had a tempered glass on before but only covered the lcd portion of the screen and the edges would lift.
Can you post pics of the adhesive as well as instructions please thanks

will you be able to remove the glass protector if it breaks when you have used loca?
You took the idea right out of my head and I'm to see it works. Did you apply the LOCA to the whole piece of glass or only the areas without adhesive?
If you've ever worked with loca you shouldn't have a hard time with it, because it is not directly glued to the lcd removal shouldn't be too hard and shouldn't require too much heat to remove, definitely less of a risk. My whole family upgraded to the g5 so I still have three more devices I can try this out with, I can try to record myself doing it next time, I just have to place the order for the tempered glass again. Now do keep in mind I repair phones for a living pretty much, so working with loca is something I do often. Doesn't mean you wouldn't be able to do it you just need to have a pretty good idea how it works and what to do in the event it goes wrong. Give me about a week or so till I get a hold of more tempered glass and I'll definitely put a guide together. Quick list of things you'd need pretty much would the the tempered glass obviously, loca, 1mm adhesive, clamps, and uv light. It's a fun project, if you do it right you'll be extremely happy with the results. Loca in this case is only applied to the area without adhesive, because of how loca works you need to sort of trap the loca inside the area where there is no adhesive, build a seal in a sense, that's where the 1mm adhesive comes in place. I'll make a whole guide and video of next time I do it. I'm itching to try this on the gs7 edge my coworker has xD

How do you plan on removing the protector should it crack or become scratched beyond use? And also, you managed to squirt the right amount of loca so that it didn't leave any noticeable air gaps, and it didn't seep out?

Actually ended up getting the v20 and same scenario with this device, there was no good tempered glass available so I ended up doing the same thing I did with my g5 on this one, I'm just posting up a video of my method. Hope you guys enjoy.

Has anyone tried the Spigen Glas.tr Nano Liquid?

https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Glas-...1534307997&sr=8-1&keywords=spigen+nano+liquid
Hi guys, I am thinking of applying this liquid protector, but wanted to check if any of you had any experience with it. I think that if it works, then it solves the issue of the screen curves and case compatibility. I am also very curious about applying it to the back. This combined with the Rhinoshield bumper could be awesome.
I didn't try it, i only saw videos, but tbh i don't think it's that good, i mean it wont be as good as a screend protector , maybe for scratches but the phone is already a GG5 but for falls and brakes i don't think it will protect it as good as a glass but maybe i'm wrong
lol, that liquid is a big scam.... it might help against fingerprints but not against damage.
I would be very interested if it protected from scratches, as I mentioned earlier my pkan is to use it in combination with a Crashguard so the phone is protected from drops. Other option is the back protector from Rhinoshield but reviews say that it feels weird
Snake oil.
I tried the Spigen version and I can say that inspite of it being applied to my screen according to instructions, I got some minor scratches from simple daily use. Nothing to freak out about, but enough to send me running to buy a proper screen protector.
I have been using something similar and cheaper from Aliexpress for the last 7 years. It does work i. e. prevent from scratches. It's a chemical that basically modifies the composition of the glass (don't remember all the sio2 chemistry) . It will not protect screen from falls but will definitely help with everyday scratches. Try from Aliexpress for $2 rather than outrageous Spigen price. If you don't like it, you only wasted $2.
It's liquid crystals which dry after being applied and form an additional layer on top of the glass, in most cases fusing with the glass below.
And that layer can get scratched, resulting in a scratch like any other ( which can't be removed ).
If you don't want scratches on your screen and don't want to risk it getting shattered, tempered glass is the only solution. If you only want scratch protection, though, get a soft screen protector ( or keep the one that comes pre-applied ).
Im very doubtful this does anything more then provide some finger print protection, it cant make it any harder. Corning and Asahi do some pretty insane stuff to make there glass hard and tough, i.e. hot, potassium-salt, ion-exchange bath for corning , I think Asahi use molten metal maybe tin.
If it was a simple as pouring a liquid on the screen you can be sure they would be doing it imo
I brought it for fingerprint protector and it did nothing, even though I'd followed the instructions. Ended up asking for my money back. My advice is don't bother and just got for this instead - https://orzly.com/collections/onepl...lass-screen-protector-for-oneplus-6-twin-pack
Hi
I have bought a OP 7pro second hand and the previous user had applied a liquid protector, I know that this is at least fake protection, so my question is, can I install a normal tempered glass on top?

Anyone using tempered glass screen protector?

can anyone suggest a tempered glass screen protector that works good and does not interfere with the fingerprint sensor? I purchased one and although it does fit perfectly and works well, the screen protector is thick enough that it interferes with the fingerprint sensor, it basically is too thick and when touching the sensor it only reads a partial fingerprint unless I press on it really hard to squish my finger in there.... anyone using one that is thinner or maybe the hole for the sensor is larger and not having this issue?
you got to change the temperglass

i had that issue so i replace with one which doesn't obstruct my finger print sensor. only drawback is that the temper glass will not provide full protected coverage like the one you have.
The Ringke Invisible Shield is what I am using. No issues with the fingerprint sensor. Have used Ringke products before and not had any issues.
I got an AVODA branded one free with my G6, from B&H Photo/Video. Haven't used it yet. I'm still rocking the plastic one that comes with the phone, the piece that has a white tab at the lower left corner. Once that looks heavily scratched to me, or is just about ready to pop off from another trip to a pants pocket, I'll put on the tempered glass protector.
Installed this a few days ago:
SPARIN Moto G6 Screen Protector, [NOT for G6 Play & G6 Plus] Tempered Glass [Leeway for Case] [Full Coverage] [Bubble Free] Screen Protector for Moto G6- Black
happy with it so far, although thumb taps do sound noticeably, at least at first, louder than the Nilkin tempered glass I used on my G4.
I've had this protector on for 3 months. I'm very pleased with it. It doesn't interfere with the case or the fingerprint sensor. The cutout is precise around the earpiece, camera and sensors. I would recommend this protector.

I use Supershieldz
It doesn't have any space on both sides; however, you must install exactly on the center or the viewing areas are not fully covered.
So far I am satisfied though it has very little touch degradation.

same here, I debated ordering up a tempered glass plate, but decided to wait and see how the film does first. I've had good luck with SuperShieldz brand. I have a film-type protector on my S7, which is basically bulletproof as far as scratches and dings, but I don't care for the faintly rubbery-texture it gives to the screen.
