Divx movies are AVI's
Opps... Sorry, just a blond moment... lol...
nice, the player doesnt play ANY of my divx movies
Lol...!!! Now thats wat I was talkin about...
I use TCPMP to play all of my xvid and divx movies. I also use pocket divx encoder to compress it again for playback on my phone specifically. Every movie / tv show I put on play smoothly.
TCPMP and pocket divx encoder are both free. Just a quick google away.
Wat about the core player? I use that on my s60 to play every damn format...

I've never tried core player (mainly because it isn't free); however, from what I have read - it is a very good and stable program.
Hmmm... Might as well try your solution then... lol...

Keep in mind that I havn't tried the program that this thread is all about. You movies might work if you use pocket divx encoder for this as well. I don't really know. I am not interested in trying it myself as I am extremely happy with TCPMP myself
Does TCPMP play all the formats including M4A?

I believe it does. I Just checked and it is in the supported format list. I have it associated to play these; although, I personally have not tried. Don't have anything in M4A format
Edit : we should not talk about TCPMP anymore in this thread as this is not the topic of this thread. There are threads in this forum that talk about TCPMP.

MP3, WMA, WAV, AC-3, ASF, AMR, Ogg Vorbis, DivX, XviD, MPEG1, MPEG4-SP, WMV, AVI
TCPMP became Core player, its not free but its much better.
I will have to give the one the OP posted a try and see how it works, if it can do what Core / TCPMP can I'll give it a go, free stuff is always welcome.
Yeah I know... Free is the best innit...!!!
Take a look as this forum for TCMP (Core Player) details.....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=421722&highlight=core+player
IF you search the Diamond forums using the key words "Core Player" then you MIGHT find a 4Shared download link for the lastest CorePlayer cab file????
Take care

I'm very interested in the answer to that question too...
Doesn't the Mobo Player support that? I may be wrong...
no, unfortunately mobo player does not work with dts-mkvs, at least on my sgs2...
did you enable the software-codecs in the settings? but sw-playback is a bad choice for 720p or 1080p videos.

BSPlayer support DTS audio in MKV. :good:
Have you tried Vplayer or MX Player?
My mx video player can't read subtitles file like .srt, .ssa etc? Can you lend me a hand to make it work? Thanks!
Did you check their site ? http://sites.google.com/site/mxvpen/faq

The subtitles should have the same name as the video you want to play, except the extension.
the method in windows doesn't work on android. MX player or so many player can't read external subtitiles.
any recommendation ?
Hello!
Actually there are no video players for Android, that would support Adobe's RTMP protocol, which is used to do almost every live stream playable with Flash Player (eg. YouTube, Justin.tv, Ustream, etc.). As MX Player's base, FFmpeg already supports librtmp, adding RTMP support is just a matter of one switch passed to configure script. Is it possible to see this feature in next MX Player version?
I thought MX could already handle those formats? Unless their streaming protocols changed again without us noticing...

MX Player supports formats streamable by RTMP such as FLV container, H.264, Sorenson H.263 video codecs, AAC, Nellymoser audio codecs, etc. but doesn't support RTMP itself. Try to open any "rtmp://" URI with MX Player, you'll get an error message.
Ah, so that's what you mean. Well, wait and see what the developer replies.

Actually I do not have many words to say about networking issue. MX does not have its own network routine but just use ffmpegs. And it has so many limiations.
We are going to improve networking in the futuer.
Thanks
