Hi anybody know how to pitch shift in realtime from android pie alsa config? Im wanna need to hear sound in lowered pitch (semitone) on my A8 phone with root or compatible 3rd party apk. Like this: http://audioshift.surina.net/android/ but not working on my phone, because need 2.3 android :/
Im half solving this problem, because im changing samplerate valuves in audio policity files default 48000Hz to 32000Hz but tempo is too slow for me, while pitch is good for me, so overall this is half good for me anybody help me?
How did you solve this problem?
i dont have an answer for your question, but im curious about the reason you want pitch shift. if its none of my business, i understand completely. Is it due to hearing loss? My father has issues hearing certain frequencies because he was a CH-46 pilot in the corps. It would be great if this could help him hear his phone better
Actually I just want to listen to a Spotify song in lower pitch (I can do it on Mac OS and it sounds really good) so I wonder if it's possible on Android but it's nothing really important

thank you very much. might want to look at audio editing software then. I found a link with some stuff to try out. I tried Audipo, its ok, but requires pro for the good stuff. Might wanna give a few of these a whirl tho. Cheers!
edit before i post LoL: i tried the karaoke pitch changer too, it also has some "pro" like aspects of it, but if youre resourceful and get the MP3 of the song you like, its perfect for what youre trying to do
Change card samplerate on audio policy file but speed is slower if im set lower samplerate or speed is higher if set higher samplerate.

Every time I try to change the SMS tone to the Achievement sound, the phone vibrates and exits out of the advanced configuration tool. Anyone else have this problem?
Okay, this was solved a few days ago on my HTC Trophy with the help of fellow members. first you will need a reg editor. if your phone does not have one or allows for one then you will need to over write the exsisting alert files via some knind of file explorer.

I have the registry editor and understand all of that, but how do I get the ringtone to the phone itself? I really just want to use the built-in achievement tone, but the Advanced Config App just won't make it "stick". Hmmm..
Oh that's easy, just upload you alert as a reqular ringtone via Zune. Here is a guide that helped me with explaining how to upload ringtones.

Okay, I understand you now, you want to use the ones that show up under the Advanced Configuration program. You can use those but somethimes they won't stick. Try going into your regular sound sentings and sent the ones you want to change to none, then go into the Advanced Configuration app and choose the ones you want there, they might show up as none as well but they should stick. Advanced Configuration looks at \Windows and finds the sound files that are avilable with in that folder only, if you want to add your own you'll have to do the reg edit thing.
Thanks ....
IDK but I use mysms. Works great, I think even better than Viber.
I am also interested in viber because lots of my friends are using viber. Is there anybody out there who managed to make is work on its KF?
Nobody????
[/COLOR]won't work because KF has no external Mic. I'll get a link to the old version of textplus rich let's you text anyone in USA poor Canada. (it has updated to calling so that's why it's the older version

I just tried, and viber won't ever work until someone gets Bluetooth running on it.
Hey Everyone.. DOH!! is my word..Face-palm... I deleted my bloatware and in this process I also deleted the bloat recovery. Now my signal strength is low and every call ends up dropped..NO SIGNAL.. also the middle button HOME doesn't work to get out of an app, I have to press back to get out of everything. Yes I'm new at this, learning the hard way I am.. PLEASE any advice..Much appreciated..I use all the useful information from the forums..Thank you in advance:good:
Hi there! If you know your model number and its listed in this thread.....there's all kinds of info here for returning to stock.
Or perhaps you can ask in this thread about the bloat apk's...perhaps they can be installed individually.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344
Good luck! ?

And in the future.....freeze bloat, don't delete it. It takes hardly any space keeping it....and you can unfreeze it if needed.
ROCK ON
Rock ON!! Unfortunately my make and model doesn't show up..its the LG Motion Lte MS 770.. Ill check that link out...I appreciate:good:
Perhaps this thread can help? Read it carefully....there's links to other sites within it...be sure what you flash is for your phone first.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1883552
Hopefully that helps....I can't find much else. Any ROM for your phone will probably fix it too.
ROCKON!!
I appreciate the advice..Ill definitely check out the link carefully...WOW..thank you as well for the quick response..totally AWESOMETASTIK!!
Greetings, XDA Assist!
I want to know if there is a way to restrict internet access to an Android app *ONLY* when it is opened.
For e.g, if I want to hide my last seen on WhatsApp, I switch off my WiFi/Data, and open WhatsApp -> Reply to the messages -> Close Whatsapp -> Turn Data on.
Is there a way to restrict internet access to only certain apps when they're opened, and regain access when they're closed?
It would be of great help if you direct me toward a solution, maybe a Tasker profile?
P.S - Classic XDA Lurker. Lurking for two years. Joined recently. You guys are brilliant. Keep up the good work!
Thanks in advance!
Hi there!
Depending on root or not, there's different option available
In your situation, I'd personally use Greenify
Or some custom ROMs have App Ops built in. You can select permissions on a per app basis. I don't think its quite what you're after in this case.
See if Greenify suits your needs. Read about it in the opening post in the thread I linked. ?
Good luck!!

And no, I don't think your example is going to hide last seen. As soon as you read or post anything, I'm sure it'll make you last seen. No matter how you try to hide it. As soon as you do download or upload. .. It knows you were on. Nothing will change that.
---------- Post added at 12:15 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:13 PM ----------
Yes, I misunderstood your goal. You want the opposite of what I was thinking.
If the app is open and no data or WiFi...the app will not function while you use it.
If you don't want people seeing your presence on social apps....you'd have to not use them. Lol
Take care.

Thanks for the reply!
I'm aware of Greenify and my ROM does have App Ops.
I wanted to know how to automate it ONLY when you open the app.
Open Whatsapp -> App stops accessing internet (OR) WiFi/Data gets switched off. [Preferably former]
Close app -> Regains internet access.
Something similar.
I'm sorry, I searched Google and XDA....found nothing like what your after. Lots on keeping it off data when closed....but not open. Again....you can toggle airplane mode on, then open it and test your theory...but I doubt it will have your desired results.
Here's a tasker guide, you can check it out, or ask in the thread perhaps.

Doesn't seem to do anything on my G2. GUI etc works I suppose, but doesn't do anything to TV, DirecTV etc.
If I hold the IR sensor before a camera I can see that there is something sending.. I will have a look on it today again.
I've fixed the problem! It's now working.

How does this fare on Aosp roms?
You need to test it. You defenitly need to install a Quickremote SDK but anyway. For me it wasn't working because the SDK I used wasn't able to send raw IR pattern..
You need to test it and if it doesn't work search for a SDK that support it. (I didn't find one so I'm back on stock) [emoji53]
Is there an updated link for the fixed apk? Would like to try this out
It's the same link like before

Yep, I did a quick test on my DirecTV box and it toggled power. Now to figure out how to actually use it.. I guess you draw your own layouts, plugging in available buttons. I haven't looked beyond the raw database yet.

I guess I must be stupid but I cant figure out how to do anything except send a code from the list. Can't make a layout, and not quite sure how the HTML thing works.
