[Completed] [Q] LG MOTION Low signal after deleting Bloatware - XDA Assist

Hey Everyone.. DOH!! is my word..Face-palm... I deleted my bloatware and in this process I also deleted the bloat recovery. Now my signal strength is low and every call ends up dropped..NO SIGNAL.. also the middle button HOME doesn't work to get out of an app, I have to press back to get out of everything. Yes I'm new at this, learning the hard way I am.. PLEASE any advice..Much appreciated..I use all the useful information from the forums..Thank you in advance:good:

Hi there! If you know your model number and its listed in this thread.....there's all kinds of info here for returning to stock.
Or perhaps you can ask in this thread about the bloat apk's...perhaps they can be installed individually.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344
Good luck! ?

And in the future.....freeze bloat, don't delete it. It takes hardly any space keeping it....and you can unfreeze it if needed.

ROCK ON
Rock ON!! Unfortunately my make and model doesn't show up..its the LG Motion Lte MS 770.. Ill check that link out...I appreciate:good:

Perhaps this thread can help? Read it carefully....there's links to other sites within it...be sure what you flash is for your phone first.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1883552
Hopefully that helps....I can't find much else. Any ROM for your phone will probably fix it too.

ROCKON!!
I appreciate the advice..Ill definitely check out the link carefully...WOW..thank you as well for the quick response..totally AWESOMETASTIK!!

Wifi problem

is there way to prevent the wifi from turning off every time the screen goes off.
Not so far as we know, yet. However, there *is* a search button, which would let you find the many instances of people asking exactly this question...

It appears the admins are looking into it;

LOL yep, you're right.
That said, Google and Bing both do a just fine job of indexing this site (arguably better than the built-in search tool) and have the bonus of, unless you specify site:xda-developers.com, also searching the rest of the web...

Ideas to get google now working?

I'm sure many of you have seen this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749045
I was wondering if anyone had an idea on how to get this working on a sense based rom?

Have you tried it out yet? I'm gonna give it a shot right now and see what kind of results I get.

Well! That was interesting, and certainly we have some hope for our Sense ROMs.
The installation process went flawlessly, and I was able to add the Google Search widget from JellyBean. And it works! Well, mostly. The Voice Search doesn't work. When you go into the app and hit the microphone icon, it beeps and immediately tells me "sorry, didn't catch that." I'm going to try and update my Voice Search app to the JellyBean one, although now I'm venturing off the beaten path.
I'm not really sure how the rest of Google Now is supposed to work, so I can't yet verify how much of this is working and how much isn't.

Alright, I've got Google Now working on CleanROM 4.0SE!
Voice Search is broken, and some other things, but that's the same story for other users, even on AOSP.
To get it working, go here and follow the instructions in the first post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28226043&postcount=1 (same link as OP)
Then, in the same thread, jump to page 15 and follow the instructions in the second post down, #142 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28234189&postcount=142)
Nice find!
EDIT: A more active thread is in the Development forum, for anyone who's stumbled upon this.
awesome work man, appreciate you trying it out and everything. I was at work and didn't really have time to mess around with it at the time

[Q] auto answer

Is it not possible to have the phone app have an auto answer feature? I know this was available in the past roms but appears to have gone away with jelly bean. Probably few people use it but when you are on a motorcycle it is invaluable.
Seconded

Figure out a way? Im looking for a solution too. Also for my motorbike
I don't think it needs to be built into the ROM... there are plenty of Apps. Could do it using Tasker as well.
What rom are u using?
That feature isn't part of the dialer, it should be under: settings / call settings / all calls / answer calls
sent from outer space.

Sorry, just noticed that ur on JB. If it's not where I said go to the market and search for "auto answer".

[Completed] Restricting internet access to specific apps when opened.

Greetings, XDA Assist!
I want to know if there is a way to restrict internet access to an Android app *ONLY* when it is opened.
For e.g, if I want to hide my last seen on WhatsApp, I switch off my WiFi/Data, and open WhatsApp -> Reply to the messages -> Close Whatsapp -> Turn Data on.
Is there a way to restrict internet access to only certain apps when they're opened, and regain access when they're closed?
It would be of great help if you direct me toward a solution, maybe a Tasker profile?
P.S - Classic XDA Lurker. Lurking for two years. Joined recently. You guys are brilliant. Keep up the good work!
Thanks in advance!
Hi there!
Depending on root or not, there's different option available
In your situation, I'd personally use Greenify
Or some custom ROMs have App Ops built in. You can select permissions on a per app basis. I don't think its quite what you're after in this case.
See if Greenify suits your needs. Read about it in the opening post in the thread I linked. ?
Good luck!!

And no, I don't think your example is going to hide last seen. As soon as you read or post anything, I'm sure it'll make you last seen. No matter how you try to hide it. As soon as you do download or upload. .. It knows you were on. Nothing will change that.
---------- Post added at 12:15 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:13 PM ----------
Yes, I misunderstood your goal. You want the opposite of what I was thinking.
If the app is open and no data or WiFi...the app will not function while you use it.
If you don't want people seeing your presence on social apps....you'd have to not use them. Lol
Take care.

Thanks for the reply!
I'm aware of Greenify and my ROM does have App Ops.
I wanted to know how to automate it ONLY when you open the app.
Open Whatsapp -> App stops accessing internet (OR) WiFi/Data gets switched off. [Preferably former]
Close app -> Regains internet access.
Something similar.
I'm sorry, I searched Google and XDA....found nothing like what your after. Lots on keeping it off data when closed....but not open. Again....you can toggle airplane mode on, then open it and test your theory...but I doubt it will have your desired results.
Here's a tasker guide, you can check it out, or ask in the thread perhaps.

Good luck again!

Wife filed for divorce now i think she tapped my phone

So my phone was rooted and i flashed it back to stock and most current update. Thinking that was the end of my issues i stopped thinking about it. But today i unlocked my phone and an app i had not started since yesterday was open also my phone has been randomly screen on and she knows more info then i have given. Sprint tech was no help but maybe if someone could find an oddity in whatever files needed i could take that in having no root access makes it hard to search through code. Just need help thank you
Cerberus is a security app that allows complete control over the phone. From a computer or even other phone you can get a complete SMS log, location, call log and much more. As a security app is good, but It can also be used for other reasons like spying on your SO. Cerberus doesn't requiere root and can be disguised as "System Framework" and no icon in the app drawer but it will appear as system framework on the device administrator list.

If rooted, Cerberus survives a Factory Reset. (You can make it a System App with Link2SD)
How would i locate and remove if there is there a config file or some other where i could see the install or operators? And how would i know if she has the only access? I will upload any files if someone wants to look i can offer some cash but im a mecanic so its not going to be huge.

Ok so i need someone to go through my files and tell me if there is anything out of the ordinary for a stock android 6.0.1. Im willing to pay someone to do this if u know config and executables well enough to see something odd please let me know i will give email and we can go from there. I will advance pay some and final pay after task is completed no matter outcome. Please im begging i need help to solve this.
Look in device administrators. Cerberus can be hidden and disguised as system framework

If in doubt, just do a factory reset and it will wipe out everything but the stock apps.
Save everything off of internal storage first like photos, it might wipe internal storage I cant remember.
