Rooted sm-g 930T successful. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

Hello, any help would be greatly appreciated.
My Galaxy s7 is my spoofing phone for various games: Pogo, Wizards unite...etc. I've decided to recently root it so that I don't have to worry about my google play service patch being .89 and not .86 or before. Sadly I cannot find any method to hide my root.
I'm on Oreo v8 bootloader Tmobile version. I can't flash twrp or get magisk on this device. Is there anywork around so I can mask the root? If not is there anyway to unroot my device and go back to my shotty spoofing? Also I find it odd that my s9 with the 9.0 firmware is running a v4 bootloader.... odd. At least the 5th number is a 4 I mean.

Root Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930W8 Exynos)

Hello everyone,
I just got my new S7 from Telus and my goal now is:
Root the phone
Install a clean stock ROM (bloatware-free)
Now I've been reading a bit but I'm a little unsure whether I'm looking at the best solution out there, or even if I'm on the right track.
These are the 2 options that I'm leaning towards following:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development/recovery-official-twrp-herolte-t3333770
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development/sm-g930-exynos-cf-auto-root-t3337353
Can you tell me if the TWRP route is the best to follow?
Also, I can't seem to find a Stock ROM, can you point me to the right one for my phone? (Sorry, my searching and Googling skills needs an upgrade.)
Installing twrp wipes the phone, so you lose everything. If you install cfroot first on the other hand, you can backup your stuff with titanium backup and other apps and then install twrp and restore your apps at the end.

I'm ok with the wipe as I just got the phone today so I have nothing important there.
So would you suggest that I use TWRP over cfroot?
--Also, do you know where the right stock ROM is? I still can't find one.-- Oops, sorry I thought the link you have was part of your signature. I got my ROM now, taking a long time to download though. Haha.
Is there another download location I can use? I messed up the slow download and now I have to wait a long time just to start over with the slow download.
TWRP install does not wipe the phone. If you want to use TWRP to backup/restore data you have to format data (which does wipe the phone), because TWRP does not support the samsung encryption yet (no timeframe for this).
You could still use TWRP to install stuff on /system.
I would go cfroot and flashfire.
quick question here: I've got 930w8 from Bell (Canadian version). on https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/ I Cannot see CF-auto-root root for W8 version.
Is it safe to guess that auto-root for 930f (exynos) will do the trick?

You can use Cf Auto root for G930F, is working
Hello!
Just wondering if this CF Root will work to root my device still?
It's April 4, 2017, so this thread is really old.
I've gathered that I can use CF-Auto Root G930F and have that downloaded..
I got my phone from Virgin and live in Canada
It's a Samsung Galaxy S7
Model Number : SM-G930W8 (LU2BQB6)
Android Version : 7.0
I'm trying to spoof Pokemon GO haha, and apparently I need to move some apps to a system folder or something.
First thing first though, figure out how to root.
Quite frankly, I'd be willing to send someone a couple bucks via paypal for any assistance at all.
I can tell you that cf autoroot for international model works on android 6.0.1, not sure if will do the job on android 7
S7 android 7.0 root
Is there a root for android 7.0 for an S7?

Samsung j3 2017 root

Hey I'm new to the world of rooting. Wanna do it to get past the network tethering thing. I pay for hotspot. But even planet didn't stop my 8gigs from being used up. So I've started searching for how to keep going with my hotspot.
I have no idea how to do anything past basics. So the more detailed and lamen the answers the easier.
I guess to root the Samsung j3 with nougat on it is first get past unlocking it.
Any helpful tip to get the unlock code for free?
Next is rooting it. A lot of techno babble baffled me all night long. So yeah that's what I'm trying to get help with.
Thanks for the time you guys may spend

I also have a Samsung J3 running Nougat that I would like to root. Mine is a Samsung J3 Unlocked (SM-327U) running Android 7.0 with May 1, 2017 patches. I've enabled the "OEM unlock" under Developer Options but I can't find a tutorial or TWRP image that supports this version. I want to install SuperSU but I'm stuck without TWRP support. I've already tried both OneClickRoot and Kingo, both of which state that the device is unsupported. I'm assuming that under the hood they are just scripting out the process but still using the same Odin/TWRP/etc process.
Any ideas? Is there a way to translate the changes necessary from another version of the J3 (e.g. SM-327YZ) to this firmware or are we stuck waiting for supported to be added to these (awesome) tools?
Thank you!
After unlock
After the phone is unlocked it should be easier to root it. I have a few more days in my service cycle till I reach the phone active 90 days to get the free unlock. After that I'll start trying to figure out how to flash it again
Hello,
like you'll see I'm new here. My problem is, that i can't root my european Galaxy J3 (2017).
Model-No is SM-J330F/DS.
Is it just me or is every single root-method actually a fake for this device?

My J727T is carrier unlocked because i bought it outright at full retail. I dont know how an carrier unlocked device would change anything. Our bootloader is locked which has nothing to do with being carrier unlocked...
Sorry for Hijacking Thread...
Maybe I will buy SM-J330F in Germany as it is cheap... 200 Euro...
and seems no Fingerprint Sensor. :good:
For Germany DBT I found latest Firmware:
Code:
J330FXXU1[B]AQH2[/B]
Please.
Can I root SM-J330F
If yes, how?
Maybe somebody can please give Link to Instruction...
Thanx in advance.
Best Regards
if you want to bypass the 8gb hotspot limit you have to use foxfi and enable proxy in the app. if you set it correctly on your pc or gaming console it will not use data. no root is required anymore. i downloaded a full game on my ps4 using my hotspot and it hasn't used any data except my normal data and that doesn't matter since i have unlimited lte data.

I successfully rooted my J327U witb Chainfire's CF Autoroot (the T-Mobile variant J327T) via Odin.
After Root I installed Flashfire ( also by xda-developer Chainfire). I'm still playing with the app's various features but so far it is pretty awesome definitely an app I'll be making a donation to this next paycheck) you'll be able to make a backup of your device with it. Hope this helps.

It wont work. The tmobile variant and even the metropcs variant is bootloader locked therefore you cannot flash anything. I have a metropcs variant and everyone else in another thread has also. Me and a few others have tried for months to get root and it failed miserably. I suggest buying the sm-j327u. You can get it on samsung.com

Rooting shouldn't be a problem for this device
Post some specifics on what you have tried and the reason for failure.
I should be able to get something up if you post the details above and your firmware details.

https://desktop.firmware.mobi/ this should help. the firmware for the device is here: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/SM-J330FN/ make sure to choose your carrier along with the correct country. the cf autoroot for the j330f is on the firmware.mobi site it should work if you use odin. if it fails to flash or something goes wrong you should have your stock firmware.

Sorry it's taken so long to reply back to you, I live right in the middle of the northbay California winecountry wildfires that devistated Santa Rosa, CA. so it's been somewhat crazy here.
The CF Autoroot that I used on my J327U is for the T-Mobile (J327T). I'm not sure if they started locking down their bootloaders, so you'll have to perform due dilligence on that end. If you do decide to give it a go, make sure you enable USB debugging and OEM unlock under developer options.

I used the same app and used proxy but just saying if you use your ps4 (setup for the proxy on pdanet or foxfi) it will only work for soo long because depending on what your doing on the internet with your ps4 it may or may not count data. I have past 8gb on my hotspot and i mostly just updated games and my ps4 system software and watched videos on youtube.
J330FN (dont know if its DS variant)
I have tried the CF-AUTOROOT website and can't for the life of me, to get it to work.
I dont want to double post, so here is my reply in the firmware.mobi thread: ==>Click here <==
If i figure it out, or someone has succesfully helped me in rooting this monster of a phone, i will post back to help others.

Sprint S7 with 7.0

Ok so today I went to boost. I bought an S7 with 7.0 on it,
What ways would I go about rooting this, upgrading to OREO and etc. The security patch is also from November 2017.
The reason I'm asking and not just jumping right to it are
1)I know if I update at all there is no root with Sprint.
2)I'm not sure if I'm on a version low enough to unlock the bootloader if I need it.
3)I'm open to unlocking the boot and flashing a 8.0 rom if possible.
Any guides would be greatly appreciated

Samsung apps not working says device had been rooted but I didn't root

Hi guys I'm new here but have an old s7 edge sm g935f , it was rooted once by the previous owner for pokemon go spoofing which doesn't work anymore so I flashed back to stock, phone isn't rooted anymore but no Samsung apps will work I really use pass and health often but they're saying I am rooted. Is there any fix for this? Sigh.
Your efuse is broken after last root. Can not be fixed with Stock rom. Think Samsung Pas will never work...

i think you should go for any samsung stock custom rom like https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/rom-floydq-v1-0-t4085667
Best rom you can't ask more just flas it with magisk
And hide every application who detect root you can also run any bank apps with magisk hide
Thanks

Rooting a Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930T)

Hi. I'm new here as a member, but I've found this site from my interest in rooting earlier this year. I'm aware of losing data and accidental bricking, and I've been searching for quite a while. I'm mostly interested to get rid of "bloatware" and remove ads. I currently don't know where or how to start, but I did start backing up files and data to keep. I also got SuperSU and Titanium Backup (and ADB installed on my computer).
I came across several pages of stuff, but I couldn't find anything recent/relevant. Links:

This would be a thread you'd want to take a look at: https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-s7-edge/how-to/root-s7-s7edge-oreo-nougat-t3819616.
