[APP][7.0+][NOROOT] Loot Finder for CoC - Android Apps and Games

Hello XDA-Developers!
we developed an App for Android that should help playing "Clash of Clans", most of you probably know that Game. Or to specify, it should make playing it more convenient.
What it does is the following:
It checks if the loot of your enemy is as high as you want it to be - if not, it presses the "Next"-Button to find another enemy. This goes on until a suitable enemy is found, you then get notified per Sound and/or Vibration.
Why is this necessary?
Because watching the "clouds", as it is called in the CoC Universe, is really annoying and can take really long. With this, you can put your phone aside and wait until you get notified. And ofc it's quite convenient.
So what is our problem, what is this thread for?
We already released it some month ago, but we have the feeling that something is not working. We use screenshot-functions, OCR,... and it's quite difficult to check for all available devices. We already got some feedback (per E-Mail and here on XDA Labs) that it does not work on specific devices, and we fixed that.
But we do not know how high the number really is where it is not working.
We also tried to message the guys that gave us a "not working" feedback here on XDA Labs, but unfortunately, they did not respond.
To improve ourselves, we would really like to have some more feedback!
We would be really thankful!

Hello, thank you for your question!
We (developers) use it since morte than a year, and we didn't hear of any problem of that kind with it from any user.
If you want to be absolutely sure, you could set the Loot to the minimum, so Loot Finder does not press "Next" for you and only operates as an Alarm when an enemy village is found.
Greetings,
your Loot Finder Team

Hi OP, I am a big fan of this app and just wanted to say that this app doesn't work anymore in Android 11. Please update it to work with Android 11 since all Android 10 ROMs are EOL(dead) now for my device and I'm only clinging on to Android 10 just for the sake of this app. Thanks for your great work on making life easy as a CoC player.

[Q] Looking for Testers and Feature Requests

Hi,
I am currently working on a trivia game platform for Android. There will be several versions released in the coming months. The first of which, 80's music, will be out in September. The app will be free and ad supported.
The questions will be multiple choice with 4 options to choose from. Points are awarded for correct answers with no penalty for wrong answers.
My question is this. If the sky was the limit, what features would you like to see in a trivia app? Also what would you not like to see in an app that has bugged you in other apps?
Here's the current list of features with more to come.
High Score List (With Name)
Select Number of Questions (10, 20, 30, 50 Unlimited)
Sound Toggle
Question Suggestion Submission (Sent via web)
Restart Game
I am also looking for anyone who would like an advance copy to help test. As a thank you for helping to test the app, you will get an ad free release copy. Development copies will have ads for testing only.
Thanks,
George
I would think that with ad supported you would want it as clean as possible. Maybe something flashy for a right answer. I wouldn't mind getting an advance copy and testing for you.

Thanks for the feedback. It seems great minds do think alike. I do have a nice splash page and music when you get the right answer.
Shoot me a PM with your info and I'll put you on the list. Hope to maybe have it ready for serious testing in about a week.
Thanks,
George

Occupy Wall Street needs you help developing an app

Developers at XDA.
I’m sure many of you have heard of the Occupy Wall Street movement. Over the past week I’ve become involved and have determined that there is a need that could most efficiently be met through technology and since I know little of developing I’m looking for some assistance.
Here is the problem:
Protesters are not allowed to communicate with a PA system. This means that when we try to organize we need to scream everything out to each other and pass the message along. As you can image, in the game of telephone things get distorted and misunderstood. We need some way to relay messages to anyone who needs it quickly.
Solution:
I believe that an app would be the best way to facilitate this. While there could be updates online, that’s slow and requires people who want to post something online to go to the blog. It also means that we would have to constantly check. It also means that someone would have to type long messages in through a touch screen. Not efficient.
My Idea is for the app comes from seeing the app Coco voice for the iphone. It’s a service where you can speak into your phone and like a text message it sends that vocal message to said recipient. Now if you took that same kind of recording idea, and instead of sending it directly to a phone number, uploaded it to a main server and people subscribed to that specific “group” (or what have you) would receive a push notification about a new message. Then everyone would be able to get important information about what’s happening, what we’re doing. And especially where to avoid clashes with police. A text element for quick messages would also be great.
What’s in it for you:
1) You’d be helping a movement that hopefully you believe in.
2) The use of this application could go far beyond just this movement. It’s sort of vocal tweeting phone to phone. Subscribe to a group and be informed. People could record a cut of a song and send it directly or just say hello to all your loved ones at once while on vacation. This is a legitimate idea that has widespread application.
3) This will quickly become one of the more downloaded apps. There were 15-20,000 people at the NYC protest last night. The protests are also sprouting up in over 10 different cities across the US. Then there will be people that just want to know what happening. An immediate wide audience to launch the application and gain publicity.
4) You will get mad props
Is there anyone out there who is willing to put in some time in helping to develop an application to help facilitate communication among protesters? This would have to be a free app at least until the protests are over. Preferably it would be both iOs and android compatible. Please let me know so we can talk through some ideas, specifics, timelines, and what not.
Also let me know if you think this is possible or not. Or if you have any other good ideas. Let’s get this moving.
ps - let's try to keep this from getting political. We do not need to argue about the protest here. If you are interested great help out, if not then just move on to the next thread. Thanks in advance.
LoL. Really? What are you end goals? What do you want changed? Who makes the rules?

I think that would work as well. Definitely open to suggestions that might make this easier for developers. Ant interest?

I would love to talk to you about this, but this is not the right place for that discussion. Pm me if you actually have interest, I have real answers. I just know this forum was not made for this purpose so I won't do it here.
It would be very honorable for some Devs to spend a little bit of time on this. I could see this app on headlines. Would be a good way for some Dev to get exposure too.

[APP][4.0.3+] Riilo is in Beta, feedback is greatly appreciated

Hello ladies and gents,
We have developed Riilo, an app which (we hope) will create a new way of interaction between individuals. The idea is to allow anybody, to reach any location on Earth, and interact with people from that specific place.
For example, Riilo allows anyone, no matter where they are, to talk to people who are in Times Square, New York, or who pass by Times Square.
Similarly, Riilo enables one to interact with local people and find useful information, just by asking. For example, if one wonders whether the local groceries store still has a particular product, he/she can just ask people who are at the store right now.
We are in the very beginning and we need feedback on the concept, as well as the app itself. It would be greatly appreciated, if you joined Riilo Beta Community on Google Plus (just search Riilo Beta on g+). Once joined, please follow instructions on how to download the app from Google Play.
Our little app is quite easy to use too; here is how it goes (refer to the attached image):
1. The user on the left (with nexus 5) taps the map at the Eiffel Tower and asks what the fox says
2. People from around the Eiffel Tower can see the post
3. Somebody from around that location (the user with HTC on X) will reply to the post
This is how Riilo aims to bring the world closer together, by giving individuals the power to reach the entire World!
Many thanks to everybody who joined the Riilo Beta Community and even more thanks to those who installed the app, you are great!
Based on the feedback we received so far, we will be working over the weekend and will release an update late Sunday, or early next week.
More feedback would be even better, so we would be super happy if you wrote us what your thoughts are, on the concept and app in general.
You can do it here, on the community wall, or write to [email protected]

Bug found
The following bug has been reported by two users running KitKat:
After completing the "tutorial/introduction" a black activity is shown (see attached screenshot). Can anyone help reproduce this?
Many thanks!
Many thanks to all great people who downloaded the app!
We would very much appreciate it if you wrote us a couple of words saying what you think of the concept as well as the app.
You can do it here, on the community page (search for Riilo Beta on Google Plus) or send an email to [email protected]

New Update
A fresh update is now available on Google Play. We have fixed a few things and done minor improvements.
The NEW thing: on the map, you can now see some silhouettes. They are meant to show in which areas there are users or where users have been. As more and more users install the app, and the more the app is used, the more silhouettes will be shown on the map.
Nonetheless, you should still post to places that have no users shown on the map; even if the app shows there are no users in that place, people could still have the information you seek, and so they will be able to help.
If you have any questions or feedback, we would love to hear from you! :cyclops:
Riilo is published
I have now published Riilo on Google Play. You can download it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riilo.main or just search for Riilo in Google Play.
Feedback is greatly appreciated!
If you like the concept and you think the app is worth it, maybe you can +1 the app on Google Play or perhaps even leave a nice review
Many thanks!
New Update
Riilo on Google Play just received an update. It contains a redesigned UI, as well as some optimizations and bug fixes.
Let me know what you guys think :cyclops:
This is a very interesting concept. I will have to look more into it soon

This is such a cool concept. Don't know if things functionality is in yet but the ability to send pictures to back and fourth would be awesome.

Unfortunately you cannot add images, videos or audio files yet. They will come, although it will take a while as it does require quite a lot of work.
Thanks for your suggestions :cyclops:

[APP][4.0+] CastChat Broadcast to other users in your area

Hello!
CastChat is an app that allows you to send "broadcasts" to other users in your area, with a range of up to 20km. These broadcasts will be sent directly to your phone, so there is no need to refresh/pull from a database each time you want to see if there are any new messages. You can then message users privately, if you wish. There is no need to make any accounts!
I think this app would be great for anything that would require you to get help/spread your thoughts to other people that you may not know, but you would like to be in your community. Whether that looking for classmates to study with, or just talking about something that is specific to your area (sports, hanging out, etc).
I just released my app last night and am lacking users. I would greatly appreciate it if you could try it out and give me feedback on what you think of it (designs, colors, features?)
I will be checking back here frequently, so feel free to leave a comment!!
Just search for "CastChat" in the Google Play Store
Thank you!

Hey, thanks for the question... you are correct. I don't think being able to send messages to everyone around you like that without their permission would be allowed.
I've gotten about 35 downloads, thank you everyone for trying!
Recently put out a new version which should help with some phones force closing the app on start!

[App][5.0+] Who Posted That? - A game with celebrity tweets

Hello guys,
First of all, english is my second language so there might be somethings not well written .
I'm Leo, a 23 year old software developer from Brazil. Since this quarentine started I have been laid off from my work due to this covid-19 situation. I was working with software development for web and I have always wanted to make apps for mobile, now that im unenployed I started studying this mobile app development area. I have been developing this app for 2 weeks while learning how to do it.
The app is basically a game with celebrity tweets. I have collected about 15 thousand somewhat thoughtful tweets from the top 500 followed twitter accounts to make a game where the user must guess who posted the tweet. It is very hard to find interesting tweets from celebrities so I have saved around 600,000 tweets and used machine learing models to filter self promoting tweets or boring topics...
I made this app more to learn how to do it but my friend told me it is a cool idea for a game, so I'm asking you guys to get a more honest review and in case of this having a positive reaction I would make some promoting to get more public awareness. Thank you for your time

I can't post outside links apparently because I am a new user... Since this is not spam Im goig to put it here, I hope its not a problem : play.google .com/store/apps/details?id=com.codingleo.whopostedthat
This seems like a fun game. I do have some feedback for it below:
Consider changing the wording of the first screen of the tutorial. The whole "99% of you already figure it out but I guess I need to explain it anyway" comes off kind of harsh for the people that didn't get it.
Speaking about the tutorial, it should only be shown to the user once. So if I download the app and play the game, it should show. When I close out the app and wish to play it again, the tutorial shouldn't show again.
Consider showing the top and bottom options before the dragging starts so the user. It cuts down on wasted time because the user has to swipe up and down each time before picking there answer. Also, this would be helpful if the user skips/is skipping through the tutorial.
