But these are basic things in every rom...
There is a problem because of the missing dialler app. Even though I installed Truecaller, I am unable to receive calls. So I will wait a while for these missing bits to be rectified before trying out the ROM again.

You need to set the default app
The ROM's proposal is to become the most AOSP possible. From bootanimation to wallpaper, and etc ...
You should install GAPPS as it will not come empty.

Yeah ...I have only one device but I am supporting around 20 + devices all are booting and people are loving the ROM..

tried flashing, i keep getting an error and then twrp says "failed", i'll download straight to the phone and have another go now....
okay so i got around that by downloading it straight to the phone, it's really nice, but i wont be using it yet, as i'm not a fan of the pie launcher....but the animations look amazing!!!!

not now, but it is currently in work. All MIUI-ROMS for Nexus 7 2013 have the same problems right now, there is no Theme.Manager added.
You can use alternative the current MIUI-Home Launcher from Play-Store.
Why not add English in for an option? I wouldn't mind trying out some MIUI on my N7...

Looks like you'd have to update to 4.7.25. Seems like there isn't anyone working on the theme manager because every other phone has it. Weird and frustrating. Hope they figure it out soon. Thanks for making it easier for us to flash miui. Is there still remnants of Chinese left in the rom ? That is a bit annoying but can be overlooked.

The theme manager is hidden and is working. Get activity manager from the store and scroll to theme manager and select "tabresourceactivity" or something similar to that, make a shortcut and you can choose any theme and apply it. Pretty interesting actually

3. Will the rom be updated to android kitkat 4.4.4?
4.Will their be any new features? just curious

You can change the navigation buttons, and MIUI V6 ( 4.4.4) will be released in mid August. I think its CM based but I maybe wrong.

How to install
S-off or Unlocked.
Update to the latest Lollipop firmware (Not required but highly recommended).
PhilZ Touch Recovery is recommended. You may also try latest TWRP.
Wipe Data/Cache.
Flash the zip file downloaded.
Verizon users please flash Mod edit link removed before you reboot after you flash the ROM zip file. Sprint users may also try and give me feedback.

Thanks, cant believe I didn't find it. Should've gone to Specsavers!
Just flashed the 5.8.28 file with full wipe. Sim card is not working. Reinserting the sim card and resetting the phone does nothing. Latest firmware for lollipop installed and flashed through TWRP.
What's the difference between this one and the one on the official website of miui ?

What is AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps. Anyway to get a working system we ported some changes from Cyanogenmod/LineageOS and CodeAurora repos.
Please do not ask for features to be added because we're not going to add more to keep this ROM small, fast and pure.

When trying to change wallpaper in launcher3 it FC's.
- First boot will take a while! it will stay on the boot screen, then it will briefly show bootanimation, but it will boot just don't panic

Theming: rom has from this build the new SUBSTRATUM THEME ENGINE. Use the integrated Substratum app to apply OMS overlays (OverlaysManagerService). Latest Substratum is rootless!
Theming: to apply OMS overlays to some system apps, you need also to flash TBO GoogleApps right after your Gapps package from recovery. This means to be clear: ROM + GAPPS + TBO
The rom is unrooted! You can root it with whatever you like. I like magisk.

If you want TBO gapps then yes. But you don't have to use it if you don't want too. I personally don't use them.

Is there any space where all the features are consolidated and listed? Since, features are embedded under stock menu items, possible that I might have missed any . Thanks!

Hold the settings gear icon in the status bar to change battery style and edit nav bar. But apart of that, this ROM is barebones.

I won't do that. You have it in the first post. Aosp is as google releases it on nexus devices, so without features. Just read the first post.

I love this rom! It keeps all the good things about Miui (like floating windows) and removes a lot of unnecessary things.
Games like Genshin Impact run perfect without lag.
At least in my case, the NFC with the other roms did not work for me when using the RED App (Chile)
Is there a way to update the Security and Themes app? because they are old versions.
For everything else this rom is excellent.
