Hello
My phone, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 had encountered some problems and I tried to flash it with N7100XXUFNI4.
However, it failed and tells me that PIT file is missing.
So when I added a PIT file, it says repartition operation failed.
And now this is what my phone currently looks like:

Can you still get to download mode?
When you flashed the PIT file, did you also flash the stock firmware along with it? Did you have the "repartition" option checked in Odin when you flashed it.
If not, try it.

Hello, thanks for your reply!
I cannot get into download mode anymore, there is no words or icons available.
Yes, I put the PIT file and the stock firmware together in Odin when I flash.
I also did checked the repartition option.

It seems to me that you might have flashed the wrong firmware or the wrong PIT.
Does your device charge? Does it vibrate when you power it on?
Have you tried using the button combo to boot into download mode then press volume up to enter download mode then try flashing via Odin again? Regardless of what is being displayed, it might actually be booting to download mode, if so, you can probably still flash the device.
The display not displaying correctly might be due to the kernel not being correct for your device. The kernel contains the drivers to make the display work correctly.

Ok so after getting into Download Mode.
-Go ahead and Go to Odin (Check "auto-reboot", and uncheck all other options).
--In Odin check PDA and find the recovery.tar file that you downloaded.
Now Press Start (Check "auto-reboot", and uncheck all other options.)

I've tried winrar, 7zip and the stock windows 10 file explorer to extract the zip file . Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?

As far as I'm aware the update for pie beta should be installed via stock recovery. It is not a Odin flashable file
And this is why I suggested you not try the upgrade. Very easy, and I mean, very ease to brick your phone if you don't know what you're doing.

Because you don't flash the oneui. You put the update.zip file on your external sd card, power off your phone, while powered off - press and hold the bixby button, press and hold the volume up button, continue holding them and press and hold the power button until you get into the recovery screen. Continue to follow the instructions on the page you linked to me...but these instructions were one that page.

Right there is no full rom for one ui yet. you can odin clean to the latest oreo update but then you must flash from sd or sideload from pc to apply the one ui update.
I know, I know. I´m a stupid c*nt.
So I booted in download/odin mode, loaded TWRP onto it. Touchscreen wouldn´t work. Rebooted into download mode/screen again, loaded default firmware on it because TWRP wouldn´t work.
Now it only shows this:

}
(found picture on the internet).
Can´t turn it off, I only can reboot it by holding down ´Power+Volume down´.
Emergency recovery / Device initialization in SmartSwitch doesn´t work.
Model is SM-G955F - S8+
Is there anything that I can do now besides buying a new phone?
Alright, I found out that I can reset the phone using Odin3 and a .tar
Keep this thread as archive in case someone needs it in the future.
Hello, same problem, can you please describe you did step by step?

Just connect your phone to your PC, open Odin, load a .tar file into AP (e.g. twrp .tar file) and click start. Should automatically restart the phone and fix the problem.
Remove hidden.img from the md5 file. The error you are getting is because the modem.img isnt flashed. You van use 7zip to edit the files.
Sorry im not at home atm so cant tell which file it is.

I was unable to find any solution. People are saying read pit file with z3x and then try to flash in odin with pit file read from z3x but i am not sure if that will work, I have not tried that.

Authorization for PIT file.
When flashing only one BL,AP or CP the partition allocation/information table has to be read from device.
If flashed only one file it's not recomendet to tick Re-partition (Odin).
When setting the PIT (Inside CSC_OMC) the files / blocks are flashed to desired position.
To bring things back extract the pit file from the CSC_OMC and flash all binaries in BL/AP/CP/CSC_OMC with selected pit file from CSC_OMC binary (If all binaries are flashed, the pit is not needed for specification) !
The DID on download screen makes me believe it is related to bootloader lock
[Android][UNSAMLOCK] Bootloader Unlock for Samsung US/Canada Devices
KG Status is PRENORMAL. You won't be able to flash custom binaries while in this state. Reflash stock firmware and connect to the Internet, then verify the OEM Unlocking toggle in Developer Options is still visible - it should be grayed out, "Bootloader is already unlocked".
Once it's visible, reboot to download mode. KG STATUS should be COMPLETED, you can now flash custom images.
why the heck did we reply to a two years old thread
I am trying to take a brand new Verizon SM-G781V and load the SM-G781U1 XAA firmware on it. (I prefer the unlocked software that removes all the Verizon branded bloat) I have tried several versions of patched Odin. I keep getting the same error <ID:0/006> Re-Partition operation failed. What am I doing wrong?

How much storage do you have?
The phone is brand new out of the box, 128GB
Hmm do you have a pit file for it?
Did it come with the rom
Because it looks like you need a pit file or you need another rom
I used Frija to get the firmware and it did NOT come with a PIT file.....Is there something other than Frija that you suggest I use to download Samsung firmware ?
Extract Samsung PIT File from Samsung Firmware | DroidViews
Here're the steps to extract the Samsung PIT file from a Samsung firmware. The CSC binary contains the PIT for your Galaxy device.
www.droidviews.com
Here
That has all the steps you need.
I tried it and still got the error. Do I need to download my ORIGINAL firmware and use THAT pit? The pit I extracted was from the new firmware I want to load on the phone and it did not work.
