I have Mix 2S and when I moving from China to Global ROM, my phone died when moving process not finished yet, and now my Mix 2S only show white blank on boot after MIUI boot animation shown up.
I already flash with Mi Flash (even using auth account) and various fastboot ROM (China and Global) but no luck, just white blank after MIUI boot animation.
Anyone could help me to solve this thing?

You have to keep your bootloader unlocked, but I guess you already do that..
Do you have access to mi recovery or fastboot? Perhaps you will need to do an edl flash? Your storage partitions might be damaged. Can you try to boot TWRP from fastboot and check the content of your phone?

Thanks for replying, dude.
I already unlocking my bootloader.
I'm on OrangeFox Recovery now.
I already flashing fastboot ROM (via fastboot and EDL) and still got white blank.
What content do you mean, dude?
I don't have error on TWRP, no partition mounting error, and no error when flashing ROM (RevOS MIUI, LOS 16, AOSiP tested) but still, the white blank is coming down.

Btw, do you see only the mi kernel boot screen or the whole boot screen when it is loading the system?

Does it always reboot? If you do a fastboot flash, does it still reboot?

I purchased the Mix 2S in China and waited 15 days to unlock the bootloader. After the waiting period, I attempted to install the Global MIUI 10 8.6.14 ROM and the new system would "fail to find devices" and constantly reboot itself after the security pattern was entered.
Wipe Data was used in MI-Recovery 3.0 and it now only reboots to the MI-Recovery 3.0 main menu!
Connect with MIAssistant does not work since my PC does not recognize that the phone is connected. Attempts to boot to TWRP recovery from adb result in the message: The system has been destroyed, Press power button to shutdown. MiFlashtool 207.4.25.0 shows Erase boot error after attempting to flash the official 9.5 China ROM or Global 9.5 ROM. The only hopeful thing is that it still enters FASTBOOT when the power and lower volume buttons are pressed.
Is there anything that can be done here to restore the phone to its factory state? I want to start over and try this again with the Official Global 9.5 ROM instead of the Global MIUI 10 8.6.14 ROM.
As you can imagine, this has kept me up for hours trying to fix. Any help, suggestions, advice would be so appreciated at this time.
Flash any fastboot ROM via fastboot. The beta is a zip for recovery installation. You could try fastboot boot recovery.img and transfer the zip again and flash it once more before rollback.

Do an unlock in MI Unlock tool again and repeat the proces.
You locked the bootloader when you flashed global rom. Unlock it again and flash again. But this time select the "erase all" option and NOT "erade and lock". (Take a look at the bottom right of the MI flash tool.

WOW. I forgot about the unlock tool. When I unlocked it again, this time it booted up properly to the NEW MIUI 10 ROM! I don't understand what caused it to work, and I'm not complaining. Thanks for your help, XDA!
If you have the Chinese version you can't relock the booth loader. Because you get in a booth loop.
I am having the same issue
I did everything exactly the same as mentioned by the other gentleman.
My boot loader is locked in the process of flashing the beta global rom.
Now when I try to unlock the boot loader via the unlocked tool, it says my mi account is not bind with the phone.
There is not way I am able to unlock the boot loader. I am not able to boot the phone.
And without unlocking the boot loader it is nt allowing me to flash any rom.
Kindly help.

Ihave same problem but cannot open my boot loader its in fast boot mode my Mi boot loader fail to open.
Mine is a XE one.
I get my mix 2s unlock the bootloader and would like to flash it to Global development version.
After I unlocked it and flashed it, it becomes bricked.
Now, it only boots to fastboot mode if I turn it on , or boots to recovery mode when I pree Vol up +power.
If I uses Miunlock tools to unlock it again, it doesn't detect my phone , and it is the same for Mi PC suite.
It only detects my phone with MiFlash, however, it doesn't flashed. Please see the link below.
Now, how to unbrick it without disassembly it ????????? Thank you !

What does it mean: miflash detects it but does not flash? Any error messages?
Mi unlock does not detect when phone is in fastboot?
1. Boot to fastboot.
2. Flash TWRP to recovery partition, reboot directly into recovery.
3. Choose wipe>format data (button)>type "yes"
4. Install custom ROM or restore MIUI.
This has happened to me every single time I have had to reinstall miui on the device. This device has given the most trouble from unlocking to reinstall of factory OS. Other than that, great device.

You misspelled "recovery" therefore it could not find the not existent partition. Hope is not lost yet.
fastboot flash recovery
After it flashes, use the hardware key combo to boot to TWRP. Ensure you are using the XE version since your phone is different.
The rest of the instructions remain the same.

You mean the xe version for twrp ? Where could I dl this version ? I am not sure which version did I flash.
NOW, it.only boots to fastboot, but not twrp or stock recovery.
Rename the folder where you have the images for flashing:
polaris_global_images____:....................... -> these folders with huge names.
Rename them to anything that is shorter. e.g. "mix2srom"
Also I would suggest flashing the CHINESE version now, just to unbrick your device. If you decide anyway to flash the global version. in the right corner of MiFlash, select "Clean all".
NEVER SELECT "Clean all and LOCK" on XE model when flashing Global rom.

If this does not flash into your recovery partition I agree you'll most likely have to download the fastboot file restore and start from there. I have the XA, I think most people here will as well. Once you get miui reinstalled, you should be able to get some things worked out again.

Hi,
My phone is actually dying and I don't know how to recover it this time.
I had a perfectly working setup with latest weekly update of Xiaomi eu MIUI , TWRP and magisk, and know even fastboot is not responding.
I usually don't like when people say that, but I think a malware did it, as my apps started not responding in a few minutes, and the reboot finished the job.
Now it won't boot anymore, when it's plug the notification led is red, and fastboot is detected but commands are stuck.
Also, TWRP is neither accessible from "power + vol up" since last miui eu update, nor from fastboot since the "accident"
If someone have any advice on how to unlock fastboot, flash back the rom or any other way to recover my phone, please help
Also, if you want to know the rest of the story, it's here...
I was using my phone as usual, trying to setup a bridge openvpn connection. (like everyone  )
The issue is that the only app claiming to do that isn't free, and I want to be sure I can make it work before spending any money.
So I tried to patch it and different apks (I know it's bad...), and while transferring an apk from my laptop to my phone, I noticed the transfer was kinda slow for a few seconds (nothing worrying, but unusual)
Then some of my apps didn't want to launch and, back to the app drawer, most of my apps had their package names, with no icons...
It was at this moment Jackson I knew I screwed up...
I then tried rebooting, and the phone stayed a few minutes on the MIUI screen, then shut off.
After a reboot, I noticed the red led, the absence of boot animation, and the bootloop.
Obviously, if I had a fastboot access, it would be easy to boot on TWRP and then flash back my rom properly but I can't...
EDIT: to make this clearer (I know the post above is a little bit messy), I have the following issues:
- No access to TWRP (for flashing)
- Fastboot is accessible but broken enough so flash/boot to twrp is not possible
- I just though of EDL mode, but "fastboot oem edl" doesn't seems to work
- I prefer to avoid opening my phone (to access to the EDL test points)
EDIT2: You can't flash anything in EDL mode without specific autorisations from xiaomi, so this mode becomes way more useless than on my previous Mi A1. I managed to miraculously flash some things by using miflash in fastboot mode. Maybe working on a windows os instead of gnu/linux helped somehow...

I tried global its same result.
Then i tried miflash tool, " antirollback error ".
Now i don't know what to do. Hope my precious poco f2 pro is not bricked, coz i can still manage to boot in custom recovery, and can use miflash tool but error.
Can someone out there help me please. Thanks in advance.

Since you have access to a properly working fastboot and recovery, I believe there is always a way to recover your phone.
I'll be glad to help you but for now, I'm more focused on my issue.
Only thing, while using miflash, be careful to never lock your bootloader since you would have to open your phone to access EDL mode in case of bootloop
(but you can lock it afterwards if you want)

Well, the main issue here is that fastboot seems to be broken too...
i found this for you on the LOS rom for poco f2 pro (am not the autor) this is for the "Anti-rollback error" (i hope that can help you):
romabah said:
Gentlemen with EU versions of Poco F2 pro, could you help me out?
Right now i am running 12.0.2.0 QJKEUXM.
To flash Lineage i first need to flash MIUI V12.0.3.0.QJKMIXM via MiFlash. I tried to do that but got an Anti-rollback error.
Checking via fastboot i saw that my phones anti rollback value is 1, but MIUI V12.0.3.0.QJKMIXM firmware has an anti rollback of 0.
Some folks say to delete first 5-6 lines in text editor from .bat file, but at the same time people tell everywhere to NOT flash firmware with lower value that your current anti rollback.
Any advice? How did other EU folks fix this?
Edit: I fixed it! I will NOT and cannot claim that this will fix all rollback error's, but it fixed mine.
0) This is applicable to fastboot version of MIUI V12.0.3.0.QJKMIXM (aka tgz file that you need to extract twice)
1) Move the extracted firmware directory imi_global_images_V12.0.3.......ets.ets. ( map with flash_all.bat, images ) to C: directory and rename to something short, like xiaomiFirm.
This will solve a lot of weird error's as MiFlash doesnt like long directories
2) Within the moved map open flash_all.bat with text editor and delete everything starting and including "::check anti_version" to and including "echo %..."
This removes the anti rollback check somehow. The reason for only editing flash_all.bat is because this is the .bat file that is run when you choose clean all option in MiFlash, i assume you dont want to clean all and lock now do you?
3) After finishing flashing mine gave error Not catch checkpoint flash is not done, but booted normally. Gave me a heart attack.
Sanity check: When running cmd "fastboot getvar anti" it returned "anti: 1"
Meaning i just flashed a ROM with anti of 0 on a phone with a anti value of 1. At least i believe so.
In any case, thank all for giving feedback for other ways of fixing this.

How are you going to flash the software?
Well,
By using edl mode and miflash, I got some errors as I was not authorised to do this operation, so I rebooted to fastboot, reused miflash, and I don't know which kind of magic did that but after some files flashed and an error, I was able to boot on TWRP. With this done, I tried to keep my data but didn't worked, and as I have everything constantly backup, I dicided to do a flashall.
now, I think I have a good MIUI base to flash MIUI EU back

yeah I'm to confident using CMD, that more safe & likely work with Mi Tool. ty anyway
I had similiar situation and all I did was I flashed different version of TWRP and it worked.
I recently updated to MIUI v12.5.1.0.RCDMIXM using a recovery zip through TWRP. A few days later I decided to flash Magisk by patching the boot.img from the same zip and flashed using fastboot.
Everything worked fine until I rebooted to recovery using the Magisk app. Now it's stuck at the TWRP splash screen, can't even reboot or enter fastboot with power and volume buttons because it will always try to boot to TWRP.
What do I need to do to fix this?
This is where I got the TWRP
Just erase/format the MISC partition.
This partition holds a "go to recovery" parameter.

This partition holds a "go to recovery" parameter.

Okay, but how exactly can I do that? It's been stuck like this since last night and won't go to fastboot with vol keys..
Can you use TWRP ?
If not, you need sp flash tool.
Try to flash boot.img and recovery.img.

TWRP is stuck at the state in the picture I sent.
I'll try using SP Flash, but I think I remember that Xiaomi devices have SLA auth to prevent unauthorized flashing using SP Flash. Will your scatter file work without it?

I just realized that the zip file or any other version does not include a stock recovery.img...
Do you have the Global v12.5.1.0 stock recovery? Or I could just use any version like vbmeta?
The phone's battery just drained, if I try to plug it would try to boot into twrp again so I kept it unplugged since I need it to be turned off for SP Flash

You said "fastboot", so you need the fastboot ROM.
SP flash tool does NOT need the device to be turned off, it just need to REBOOT.
If you try to flash while a reboot to another reboot, it will works perfectly.
Which magisk did you flash? 23 is not working for 9A

Are you still in 12.5? Do you also use a custom recovery in that version?
Just managed to access a laptop and got to fix the situation. Turns out I can still use adb even though TWRP is stuck on the logo screen.
First tried the `fastboot erase misc` command but misc partition doesn't exist on the device.
Tried `fastboot continue` but won't let me use the command and `fastboot reboot` just makes it go to recovery and get stuck again.
I flashed Orange Fox Recovery and it was still stuck at it's splash screen. So I went back to fastboot and for some reason `fastboot reboot` worked now and booted to system, further restarts are normal now.
Now I'm curious, why won't custom recoveries work with MIUI 12.5? When I tried accessing root, every folder (ex. system) is in this format [1;34system[0m, does it have something to do with that?
Still trying to get the stock recovery, but there's no fastboot rom file for this version yet...

Magisk v23 works just fine, just patch the boot.img file of your ROM version and flash it with custom recovery or fastboot.

Theres one TWRP that doesnt have a splashscreen, in that one just block and unblock the screen while on recovery and it'll work fine. BUT your internal storage isn't going to be accesible, its encrypted and (for some reason) on 12.5 twrp cant unlock the storage, you'll have to do everything on your sdcard

I thinks its because they cant unlock the storage, they keep trying and just keeps stuck on trying.
