Is it too late to S-OFF and SuperCID !? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hi folks,
I've got my old Telstra HTC One XL (Evita) laying around that I need to re-commission back into service! Info is below.
I've been trying to S-OFF and SuperCID but all links seem to be dead and/or taking me round in circles from one site to another to another back to here, kind of thing.
The device currently has...
its bootloader unlocked
TWRP 3.0.2 custom recovery installed; and
root
Presently it is running CyanogenMod 12.1 (Android 5.1.1) which has,
Kernel version 3.4.105-ga346a29; and is
Build number cm_evita-userdebug 5.1.1 LMY48B 37126a8090
I was hoping to go to Marshmallow or even Nougat, but will look into that a bit further.
Main question I'm asking at the moment though is: do I need to spend any more time trying to get this device S-OFF and SuperCID? Is it even possible to get this device S-OFF and SuperCID? I did see one post that talked about downgrading, but again that was another thread with dead links and circling websites. Will going S-OFF and SuperCID now net me any further benefits over what I already have?
I know the device is old and I know most anyone and everyone has moved on now, but no harm in asking!
Thanking you.
Kind regards,
Dodgy Bob

[Q] Unlocked bootloader, HBOOT-2.00.0002 back to STOCKrom

I found out that problem i was having with my touchscreen is hardware related, so I want to get my mobile phone back to full stock. I read so many things about installing RUU, flashing this, flashing that, hboot this that i'm totally lost going true 10+ topics. If anyone could help with some direct instructions, would own you big time.
Current rom: Cynagonmod9 (latest one)
Unlocked bootloader (htcdev)
SAGA PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.00.0002
RADION-3822.10.08.04_M
eMMC-boot
Anyone know what to do with my current setup to get stock ROM back? If you need any further info about my mobile let me know ... rather desperate at the moment!
My phone is waiting for exactly the same operation, with exactly the same problem. I just have to find some time.
I will try this. Have you found it?

Okay so i tried the following things:
- Create a goldcard
- lock bootloader (fastboot oem lock)
- install RUU from fastboot (with the .exe)
I always get Error 140: wrong bootloader version I use latest Europe RUU
No matter what, the 140 error keeps returning. Here is some more info of my phone, if sombody could give me some more guidlines, really need them

Got it fixed, had to change misc_version in the process

Stuck in HBOOT, no flashing possible (S-ON)

Hello Sagas ,
I got a problem with a Desire S: It only boots up to the HTC-Logo. If I'm right because of the output of fastboot getvar all the mistake was to flash RUU_Saga_S_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.9_Radio_20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.... (I think it was this RUU because this is the only one with the exact main version) to this device because it hast a T-Mobile (DE) Branding.
The Bootloader shows up with

Then I tried to put the zip as PG88IMG.zip on sdcard.
Result in Bootloader: MAIN VERSION IS OLDER
Any tips for me?
Sorry if you get a little excited after seeing a reply in this thread but I would remove your serial number and IMEI from your first post as everyone can see this and I don't think you want some people to know it
I always thought it was a security risk but if it isn't then someone let me know

Done, for sure,thank you .
I'm really helpless, because not even someone tells me that the device is broken. Am I right with the idea that a RUU with the mentioned main version from T-Mobile (DE) can fix my problem?
SOLVED! I made a Goldcard with my Nexus One, flashed the rom.zip of the newest HTC Europe RUU over SD and... solved
Sent from my Nexus One using xda premium

[Q] Is there a RUU (.exe) I can use?

Hi,
Where can I find the stock ICS RUU (.exe) for my phone? My phone is completely stock and is in the following state.
I made many attempts updating my phone using the OTA way and keep getting stuck at the red triangle.
I've also tried factory resetting my phone first before applying the OTA. Still I hit the red triangle. :crying:
Many thanks in advance.

You could always S-OFF/SuperCID then you can use the European RUU's to get on ICS.

Hi,
There is a thread in the dev section by Football, I believe the title is "Shipped Pyramid ROM's Collection" or similar, look in there and download the 3.33.401.6 RUU

I think some of the European RUU's contain that CID as well, might be worth a try with the 3.33.401.6 RUU
At least it's HBOOT is old enough for Revolutionary

[Q] How to determine what RUU to use on my rooted HTC One S?

Hi there, im a bit of a noob here and need a little help determining what RUU to use on my rooted HTC One S? (It's O2 UK branded)

Can you help me what RUU i need to use?
The reason for all this is that i upgraded OTA to android 4.0.3 then 4.0.4 and now my wifi has "Error" on it.
So i was hoping to reflash via RUU to resolve it, I have a nand backup TeamWin TWRP, even flashing those backups doesnt fix the wifi "Error" issue.
If anyone can shed some light on what to do, i'd really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Darren.
WiFi "error" fixed, but ...
Just to follow up here folks, if anyone has/had similar issue...
Since i couldn't use my WiFi connection to try look for another OTA update, I used the "Internet pass-through" -to- USB cable to my PC as my internet connection on the phone. I downloaded the OTA update from 4.0.3 to Android 4.0.4. WiFi "error" fixed, but now i have the common WiFi authentication bug that seems to be common on the HTC One S. I can connect to my WiFi network when WPA is off, and the network is open, as soon as i try connect, WPA on, i always get authentication failed, invalid pass. Pass is 100% correct as other devices connect to it no problem.
Seems many people have this issue.
Anyway, i may journey on with this issue, and hope JellyBean 4.1 (due for release now) comes to my network on O2.
Thanks,
Darren.

HTC ONE S - S4 - S-ON - RUU help

Hi, I need some help going back to stock rom on my htc one s (s4).
I've read some places that I need an Ruu same as my version, this is my info.
Version main: 3.16.110.4
Tampered
Unlocked
VLE PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT - 2.13.0000
RADIO - 1.11.50.05.28
OpenDSP -v31.1.0.45.0815
eMMC-boot
I tried the instructions on androidforums dot com, can't post the link here cus it's one of my first posts, but I typed in google "HTC one s ruu" and it was the first link.
But at the end it said something like "Can't flash this image, find the correct image" or something along those lines.
I used this ruu at the time because it was the only similar one (although not exact) to my phone.
RUU_Ville_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.16.401.8_Radio_1.11.50.05.28_10.27.50.08L_release_301814_signed_2_4.exe
and yes I did lock my bootloader before running the ruu, but I unlocked it again just for use until I can find a working solution to going back to stock rom. (Btw i'm S-ON!)
Any help would be MASSIVELY appreciated!
Do you know your CID? You can get this info in bootloader mode and use this command:
Code:
fastboot getvar all
Please post all data except your IMEI number.
The RUU you used should work for almost any European countries as long as it's an non-carrier specific phone.

I guess you can't use this RUU for this phone. Try to find one for T-Mobile UK as it seems to be what your CID is telling.
