Hi There!
I am looking for a stand that also provides fast charging ability. I need it to be solid enough so it won't move around on a kitchen bench.
Anyone able to recommend something?
Cheers
Check amazon for "Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Multimedia Desktop Dock Cradle".

I'm currently running the latest JB MiUi which I thought would have a working Google Now app, negative. Today I came across this baby, Maluuba which is an alternative to just that!
Direct Link - Maluuba v.1.0.3 (thanks frenzyboi)
I've tried it out for myself and love it!
It's even better than Google Now in my opinion.
Have fun, hit thanks
I think it's only available in the US and UK

Delete quicksearchbox.apk from /system/apps than restart your phone. After that just download it from play store (called Google search). Worked like a charm here.

For what it's worth, this worked for me on the AOKP version.

Around the world
Hey guys, noticed quite a few people asking why it's not available in their country, so here's a little blog post about our plans for releasing across the world, and an explanation on why we haven't.
blog post
Hope it answers your questions, and thanks for all the support!

It's free.. it's not warez.
I should have searched on XDA first!
Nevertheless, I got the APK myself and it works pretty well even though my region is not supported.
Here's their blog post explaining why:

I like it but I like how Google Now actually speaks the answer back to you.

a shame that this currently only in English
This is asking for way too many permissions when installing. All the permissions that can super hack my device. Record audio? WTH
How do I know this app would be safe?

Record audio.. hello.... how do you think you can ask it questions without a microphone?
I just discovered Maluuba, because ICS/JB Roms aren't "perfectly smooth" on my OG Evo, and a GB Google Now build doesn't exist...as of yet.
I actually wouldn't agree that it is better than GNow, but a close second place. When GNow is able to present an audible answer to your question, it is presented in the simplest way.
And of course, GNow has suggestion cards, but that takes a lot of development, and I will be surprised to see it implemented by another developer.
Here you go!
Maybe it is usefull for someone.

I'm not saying you will do any of this, I'm just a scurrdy kat with these things. Please don't get mad, I'm just curious about these things.

Good job!
Could you add mega please that's the only one I'm missing!
And maybe you could make a xda edition for free?

how do you get a paid app on the xda homepage without an xda free edition?
Yeah, that's interesting. Wasn't that in the rules?
It's a very interesting app. However I would like to have owncloud support before I invest in it. A 14 days trial wouldn't hurt as well.
Cloud Mail.RU would be awesome
