Hey I didn't see anyone else ask this and hopefully I won't get chastised for it... But I love the pixel launcher. The S10 can use the Google one in the app store, but the 10+ can't (says it's incompatible). Does anyone know of another way to get it? I really like being able to swipe right and see the Google feed. Before it gets said, not a fan of bixby. Thanks in advance!

Download Nova Launcher and make your launcher however you want it to be
try lawnchair alpha launcher, works pretty good and gives you the pixel-y look.

Download nova companion app and in gestures select swipe right to show Google feed and you are done.
Download lawnchair alpha. Almost identical to the pixel launcher. Came from a pixel 2xl and missed the launcher. This perfectly replicates it.

Try this Follow Lawnchair – Releases on Telegram: https://t.me/lawnchairci
It's the lawnchair 2 based of the pixel launcher. It's really good.

Lawnchair version 2 alpha will probably the closest you can get to the pixel launcher on a Samsung device, and it works very well with a lot of options.

Such an ignorant thing to say. So someone can't buy a phone simply because they like the hardware? Do you change the launcher on your phone? What did you use? Nova? Action launcher? My guess is you do know most launchers are trying to mimic the pixel launcher, right?

Is there anyway to get folders in the app drawer? I couldnt find anything when I quickly was trying to set it up. Thats what is keeping me on Nova right now just because I like to have minimal icons in app drawer to find the stuff I use a lot
This lawnchair v2 is so much better than the first version. I didn't even have to sideload a lawn feed app to get Google feed. The customizations are great. Google should take a hard look at this work done with their launcher and integrate these features.

Thanks for the useless comment. I had a Pixel 3 XL. Went to an iPhone for work, then got to go back to Android and chose the S10+.
Not sure why people can't just be helpful instead of making snide comments. Anyway.

Perhaps a noob question but I figured I might as well ask before trying it and messing something up.
Is there a Google Now Launcher APK that's been confirmed to work on the G3? all the APKs I find are in articles and links from months ago and I just want to have the most recent information and APK(s) available.
Loving the G3 just would like Google Now Launcher and preferably the n5 dialer/camera apps. If all this is located somewhere and I'm just being an idiot, please point me in the right direction.
Thanks,

I did it yesterday and it's a pretty neat upgrade. One caveat, they tell you to change two lines in the prop.build for the tmobile variant it's actually 3.
ro.product.model=Pixel XL
ro.opa.eligible_device=true
the one they forgot to add for us was
ro.product.brand=google
For us it had been =LG918 and it wouldn't enable until i changed that too.

LOL. NO. I was playing with my zmaxpro running marshmallow. There is an option to run ok google from any screen.
I then went to google assistant website and tried ALL the commands. IT works!!
I can't believe how google capitalize on this google assistant feature to sell their overpriced pixel phone.
There is NOTHING a google assistant can do that an ok google command can't!!! For serious. I am mad right now for some reason.

I actually installed allo to try google assistant there. The games are actually good but those are the games they have when they have occasions to celebrate like I played the beethoven game and I remember it's exactly that beethoven game they have on beethoven's birthday or something long time ago. And for some reason the audio and video quality on my phone sucks playing it.
I did try mad libs it just gives me search result for it. Still, ok google does what google assistant does minus the games. And ok google talks back to you. google assistant does not talk back in allo. I think it talks back to you in pixel?

The full Google Assistant really is just an enhanced Google Now/On Tap. Now does basic things like carry out specific requests and make searches, but GA is a full-on assistant, with conversations, games, even a pretty well-done context engine.
I've used Siri for iOS 6-9, and I can say that Google has managed to beat a ~7 year old personal assistant with something barely out of infancy. Sure, maybe you might not like either one, but I like to have fun and try to find out what my phone can do.
Oneplus 6 got rid of the swipe down for notifications gesture. Is there any way we can get it back? Maybe like the flashable zip the 5t had in omnirom? This may seem like such a small thing but it's huge for me. With this gesture I dont have to reach up to get my notifications down and thats a lot less of a chance for having the phone drop and break on me. Especially because it's all glass now.

Well, the phone hasn't practically even released at this time, so it will take a bit of time to know.
I think the reason why there are no fingerprint gestures is because of the reduction in the size of the fingerprint sensor.

Edit: Resolved - For over 10 years, I have been using the BACK button to close activities. All of them. When I want to return to the launcher, I just press BACK from withing the given app until I get 'back' to the launcher. Why wouldn't I do this? It's how you close an app. Well, I hit the HOME button instead of using BACK to exit the app gracefully like I do for all other apps I run.. and.. AOE works. I don't get it. I'm not much of an Android developer, and I hate everything Google has done to Android in the last 5 years, but what gives here? I assume (and I can see) that the backgroud service still runs after the activity closes, so why would I want to leave the activity open and return to the launcher without gracefully closing the current activity? Anyway.. if I leave the activity open, it seems to work as expected, but not if I close the activity. Go figure.

I am using Resurrection Remix 8.6.7 on OnePlus 7 Pro. I've tried Plus Beat, True Edge, and now Always On Edge. I can't get any of them to work. Plus Beat came the closest by repeatedly flashing the lock screen, but I really want to use AOE and I would like to see the edge 'horizon' lights. I've given AOE every permission and accessibility service I know how to, and it still does not work.
Is it possible to use AOE on One Plus 7 Pro with Resurrection Remix 8.6.7 (Android Q10 based, and goes on top of OOS 10.3.8)?
Is there a way so these can overlap or stack a little? It is pretty stupid to have it only show one a page and have to cycle through them all to get to the other side. I've seen Samsungs that stack a lot better and it actually works. I don't really mind they are horizontal now but why don't they stack at all?
On a side note, is there any way to get my clock back on the left and maybe the data rate on the left on the status bar?
Never looked into that but it would be nice. I remember they used to be like that, or I had them like that somehow years ago at least.
Also, the clock is on the left, so I assume you meant right. I know it's possible with root and xposed. Might be possible only root. Not sure if you can do it without root.
Same with data rate, I know you can do it with root and xposed but not sure without.

Yeah I did get Gravity box working and the status bar fixed, still looking for a way to change the recents menu but I'm losing hope heh
If you do find a way, I'd love to know. I definitely wouldn't mind a recents menu like that again.
Also, never really looked at the GB settings for data rate but I'm glad I did to see if it worked. Got it so it shows me the rate only when my download is in the status bar.
Honestly haven't used GB since lollipop and KitKat days. 7pro first phone to have it in a long time for me.

Also, never really looked at the GB settings for data rate but I'm glad I did to see if it worked. Got it so it shows me the rate only when my download is in the status bar.
Honestly haven't used GB since lollipop and KitKat days. 7pro first phone to have it in a long time for me.

Ever since I seen this thread I've been looking for and trying different methods of stacking them. Can't fricken get it. You've really made me want this back. Lol. Even horizontally stacked would be nice.

I found something called Xposed Edge Pro and it has a running apps menu that you can set to replace your recents button
Also, HavocOS has its own slim recents that looks awesome just trying to figure out if I can flash the rom without losing everything

Was that the bottom bar with app icons in it? Literally just downloaded the app for that but I like seeing the apps too so I deleted it. Unless it was something I missed.

Yeah its just that thing at the bottom, it is not pretty but it works better. I think HavocOS is the best bet, there is an Android 10 version available they just never updated the thread on here.

So recents are just normal? I still kinda like all the settings and customization. But knowing me, I'll probably never get around to actually checking it out.

Tried xposed edge again and actually looked at it more. I'm in love. Paired with A10 gestures I can use the sides for entire navigation. Used pie before but this is so much better. Set a power menu one too. Don't actually mind the opened apps thing either.

I am now in love with Omnirom and Omniswitch, the vertical one is perfect and still slides and has screenshots, you can also add custom buttons and make it transparent or wte colors you want. There is also a horizontal version that is a lot more condensed without screenshots. See the pics attached. Fair warning though, on android 10 with these new roms you will lose your face unlock if you still have it.
