I have just got earphone jack issue.
Explanation :- After connecting earphone jack the earphone mic is not working but the normal sound is comming in my earphone.
So can I get a help about it....

Which earphones? And which version of the stock rom are you using? Some users have said that the latest stock ROM fixes a few sound related issues

I am on the same MIUI version and not facing any mic or other issues with headphone jack. Try other earphones to see if your earphones are fine.

The G2X disables the internal mic when the headphone jack is used... This means I can't use my car input jack and input channel for speakers for phone calls.
Without the internal mic, the callers can't hear me...
I see no way to enable to internal speaker when the headphone jack is enabled...
This worked perfect on the Vibrant...
This also works on the Nexus One.

I think it depends on the ROM. I used a few that disabled the mic when i used headphones on my N1 too, but most ROMs didn't have that problem.

I think it depends on the ROM too. I used to run my Nexus with MIUI and the mic worked fine while playing through car speakers.
why Nokia Earphone are not suppoted by p500? i am trying to use a standard 3.5mm Nokia earphones which have better bass than P500 headphones but its not giving me the original sound output .. instead giving a peculiar sound.. i am using CM7 roms .. any rom i use same result....
i had same problem with several headphones including my bros senheiser...
then i bought a creative one with mic... after that its just perfect..
i think its problem with headsets which dont have mic...
I have plenty of in-ear headphones... none have a microphone.
Maybe a new ROM or kernal will help.

I am on Pranjal's ROM 4.0 based on cyanogen mod 7.2 alpha 9 and i purchased that one from eBay...now sad to say it doesn't support.
When i insert it to my 3.5 in my phone, the headphone icon shows up and not the headset icon.

So the headphones work but the headset doesn't? Or both don't work?
Try plugging in the headset but not till the click sound. Keep them a little bit outside, don't let them make the click sound. Works sometimes.

The standard headphones with 3.5 mm jack work quite well...but dis one,i.e., the headset doesn't....
And i m saying headphones, but i need to get a headset to work...Coz i've got dis internal mic of the phone not working...So when i attend a call, i have to switch on the loudspeaker every time to let the other person hear me.

I guess it could be Cyanogen Mod. Try flashing a froyo ROM.

I just bought a pair, and the microphone works just fine. So does the middle button, but as usual the other two buttons don't do anything.

I have and problem with very low volume when using bluetooth headphones. When i use the phone with standard 3.5mm jacked headphones using the adapter i dont have any issues with the volume of the playback.
I've tested the bluetooth headphone on a different phone and they are much louder compared to mine.
When the bluetooth headphones are connected to the phone I don't see the little headphone icon on top right hand-side corner.
Im using sock global version 10.0.4.0
Any suggestions?

I had the same problem with my Fiio BTR3 with latest MIUI 10 pie EU rom, make a full format (format all data including the internal storage), flash the rom again, the problem has gone. I;m on EU rom 8.12.6.
