I managed to pull some files together including the .pit file from my now working tablet and make a fully working 4 file firmware and combo (all in one) firmware that CAN be flashed with Odin. I have tested it on my device and it does work. Since I know people are searching EVERYWHERE for this, I have released a download link for these files below.
Please, feel free to re-post this anywhere, just be sure to credit me.
DISCLAIMER (Obviously): I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR DEVICE AFTER FLASHING. KEEP IN MIND THAT ANYTHING CAN GO WRONG, EVEN IF YOU'RE FLASHING FIRMWARE THAT IS MADE FOR YOUR DEVICE. THE FIRMWARE AVAILABLE BELOW HAS NOT BEEN MODIFIED, ENGINEERED, OR EDITED IN ANY WAY TO CHANGE THE FUNCTIONALITY OF YOUR DEVICE. IF YOUR DEVICE BRICKS AFTER FLASHING, IT'S ALL ON YOU.
Flashing instructions:
But first, the requirements:
1) SM-T337A, Obviously, but seriously, I can't stress how important it is that you check that your model number is matched with the model number in this thread before flashing anything.
2) A Windows pc (NOT A VIRTUAL MACHINE! Using a VM to flash your device has a high chance to hard-brick your tab, and make sure your computer is running Windows XP or newer.)
3) Your device's USB transfer/charging cable
4) A Brain (Obviously)
Now then, the actual steps (4 File Firmware):
1) Boot your tab into download mode (Shut the device down completely, then hold down the power, volume down, and home button at the same time until a warning message appears)
2) Download and open Odin on your pc
3) Grab the USB charging cable and plug your tab into your pc
4) If Odin does not show your device in the list (It will display an "Added" message if the device is detected) download the Samsung USB Drivers for Mobile Phones and install it to your pc. You may need to/and it is recommended to restart your computer after installing the drivers.
5) Extract the zip file you downloaded containing the firmware to your desktop or a memorable place on your computer.
6) If you wish to wipe your data and start from scratch, click on the 'PIT' tab and select the .pit file in the extracted folder. Then, click the 'OPTIONS' tab and select 'Re-Partition' and 'NAND Erase All'.
7) Insert the firmware files into Odin. Within Odin, for instance, Click on the 'BL' button, which is where the bootloader file goes. Select the extracted package that has 'BL' at the beginning, and vice versa.
Example:
BL: *directory*/BL_T337AUCU2BOH4...
AP: *directory*/AP_T337AUCU2BOH4...
CP: *directory*/CP_T337AUCU2BOH4...
CSC: *directory*/CSC_ ATT_T337AUCU2BOH4...
8) Once done, verify that you have correctly done all the steps above, click 'Start' in Odin and wait for Odin to output a "PASS" message before unplugging anything.
9) If you wish to flash the firmware, but keep your data, make sure that there is no .pit file in Odin, make sure that 'Re-Partition' and 'NAND Erase All' are unchecked, and make sure that there is no file inserted under the 'CSC' row.
Tutorial (Combo Firmware)
6) Within Odin, Select 'AP' and browse to the directory where you extracted the firmware, and select the .tar package in the directory. There should be nothing else under the other tabs, only 'AP' should have a firmware package in it.
7) Flashing this package (unless you perform the "Developers Tip" at the end of this thread) will wipe all of your data, so be sure that the proper .pit file that came with the firmware package is selected under the 'PIT' tab in Odin and make sure that 'Re-Partition' and 'NAND Erase All' are checked in Odin to ensure a complete wipe of all personal data on the device. If you perform the developers tip at the end of the thread, simply insert the new package you created under 'AP', make sure there is no .pit file under the PIT slot, and make sure that 'Re-Partition' and 'NAND Erase All' are unchecked in Odin.
8) Once done, verify that everything is set and ready-to-go, then click 'Start' and wait for Odin to output a "PASS" message before unplugging anything.
9) Enjoy!
WARNING: If you are seeing sites that charge you money for the files, DO NOT BUY IT. They are scams and I HIGHLY SUGGEST AVOIDING THESE SITES. I didn't have to buy anything. If you do buy the firmware from these scam sites, and your device becomes bricked or messed up in some way, don't say I didn't warn you.

If the link doesn't work or goes down for some reason or if you were confused by my instructions in any way, please let me know.
Developers Tip: If you want to flash firmware without wiping your data, make sure there is no pit file selected under the PIT tab in Odin, then extract your firmware package (extract everything into a separate folder for combo firmware, extract the CSC package for 4 file downloads) and remove cache.img.ext4 then repack as a .tar file. Applies to both combo and 4 file firmware packages. In 4 file packages, cache.img.ext4 is in the CSC file. However, in some cases this may put your device in a bootloop. If you wish to do this on an older device and the cache file doesn't have the .ext4 extension at the end, don't worry, it'll work the same way.
Now that you have the firmware, WHY NOT ROOT IT? Check out my thread on how to do so here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/general/root-how-to-root-sm-t337a-supersu-t3553848
Cheers!
Does anyone know the process for extracting the files like this from an OTA update? I have some files I would like to extract from another OTA. Thank you

I'll be honest and say its not easy. Making this firmware took me about 3 months. OTA update files are very different from actual Odin firmware files. If you want to extract the files from an OTA update, I just used 7Zip and went from there.
Lollipop 5.1.1 Root for SM-T337A
@KingOfTheNet - Great stuff. There are definitely some shady sites out there offering firmware for the T337A so thank you.
Not to be greedy but any recommendations on rooting 5.1.1 on SM-T337A. I am trying to remove all of the Samsung and AT&T bloatware and get my Tab 4 running lean and mean. I am pretty sure I went with your firmware - my build number is listed as LMY47X.T337AUC2BOH4.
Appreciate the support.

Your welcome bro, happy to help! I have actually rooted my tab with SuperSU, fully working. The only thing is its temporary, and I avoid rebooting or shutting the device down at all because it's a system-less SuperSU (meaning temporary). I'll make a thread on how to achieve root on this tab later tomorrow when I get home from work, unless someone replies to this before I do (It's late where I'm at).
Cheers!

Hello! ... First of all, thank you for all your hard work! But unfortunately that firmware does not seem to work for me. I'm a little newbie, so I'd appreciate if someone could explain the steps to follow specifically with Odin, as a tutorial or something ... so that I can distinguish what I'm doing wrong.
I uploaded a short video so you can see what I mean... If you could take the time to watch it and tell me what I'm doing wrong, that would be awesome.
Here it is: youtu.be/9JsLVJ-xHMA (I cannot post direct link since I'm new user)
I've downloaded some files with name ATT_T337AUCU2BOH4_T337AATT2BOH4.zip (1.19gb) put by poorusernamebychoice and their tar.md5 file is gone 404.
Now i need some help here, this zip contains:
AP_T337AUCU2BOH4_T337AATT2BOH4_HOME.tar
BL_T337AUCU2BOH4_T337AATT2BOH4_HOME.tar
CP_T337AUCU2BOH4_T337AATT2BOH4_HOME.tar
CSC_T337AUCU2BOH4_T337AATT2BOH4_HOME.tar
MILLETLTE_USA_ATT.pit
This is big file so now I'm stuck what to do or i start a fresh download from above links.

It's actually very easy, that's why I didn't put any instructions in the thread, I just assumed people knew how to do it by now. But I'm happy to provide instructions to those people who don't know how. Instead of posting said instructions right here, I'll update the thread with instructions.
Cheers!

Hi All
Hope you can help (because Huawei can't..)
I've had a Mate 8 for just under a year now and i've never had an update. Not one. A close friend bought one at the same time (different place) and has recently had the EMUI 5 update. I am still on EMUI 4.0 and have not had a security update since feb 2016. The handset was originally purchased in Germany and besides the update issue has worked flawlessly here in the UK. I would like the update however and do n ot mind if its manual and not OTA but Huawei are unable to offer anything like a solution. Does anyone know how i can update this handset without bricking it which is what concerns me. If it helps it is as follows:
NXT-L29
Build: NXT-L29C900B170
EMUI 4.0
Android 4.0
Thanks in advance
Hi,you have Global Version.I think for C900 there is no Ota Update,i can't see in the Firmware List
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/huawei-mate-8-stock-firmware-official-t3391727
I converted my C636 to C432 and all Ota Updates is coming
Ah ok, I've had 'global version' mentioned to me before. How can I convert to a different C variant and if I do do you think that will enable ota updates?
Sent from my HUAWEI NXT-L29 using Tapatalk
I think you can update to NXT-L29C432B192 via "dload". If it works, then Nougat update will be available. But for more sure, let's other guys from this forum confirm that.
Good luck.

OK, thanks for the info.
Since had it confirmed that the hadset is a US variant (San Diego) and as such is trying to connect to US servers not UK which is why it can't the OTA update.
With this in mind will the dload method still work and if so, and sorry to be a total novice, but how to i do the dload method? (massively do not want to brick the phone)
Thanks again all,
1. Download the update on the computer.
2. Unzip.
3. Create a folder "dload" on micro SD card and copy only UPDATE.APP inside.
4. Turn off the phone and put mitsro SD card.
5. Turn ON the phone.
6. Go to "Updater" and click on "Local update".
That is it.
If update is not suitable to your phone "Installation failed" will be displayed at the screen and phone will be turn to the present state.

Hi All
I did all above as requested. Could not l;ocate 'uploader' so applied a hard reset and the phone updated although only the security patch.
As it stands build number is the same and no new update available.
Updater appears in the app list but no where to be found on the phone and the update in settings provides no 'local update' option.
Odd?
If upload is make it right in this menu after pres three dots shut be option "Lokal Update".

Sorry, I don't know why that happens. Does the phone detect micro SD card? Format again and create dload folder (without quotes), then proceed step by step.
That's all I can advise you.

Hi All,
I've tried again, this time using the newer link file. The phone processes the update all the way through but after restart the build number remains the same:
NXT-L29C900B192
And as such no EMUI 5.0 update is available. Is there anything else i can try? Is there an update file that relates spcifically to the above build number maybe?
Thanks again for all your help,
I have ZTE axon 7 mini from UK Carphone Warehouse distribution. It is single sim + micro SD variant (P852A11_UK). It comes with Android 6.0.1 (zte.20161125.112507) out of the box with no update yet. Screenshot of RECOVERY to compare (see attachment).
I read that there is a way to update this phone to Android 7.1 using the specific update files, but my phone could not detect that files. I have tried many of different firmwares with no success.
Finally, I managed to update my phone, and here is how:
0. BACKUP YOUR DATA just in case. Fully charge your phone. I am not responsible of any damage or warranty void if something went wrong. Use at your own risk.
1. Download Android 6.0.1 Spanish firmware ZTE B2017G V1.0.0B09, so '_UK' will be gone afther update.
Download link:
http://download.ztedevice.com/support/product/570/201612221103982/sd/20161222111119358.zip
Mirror (thanks @NewbieGamingYT):
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1hYFuTYBHB5SnDeE2KCOHQf_62xr7EqOL
2. Unzip 20161222111119358.zip and find 'update.zip' file, than copy it to root directory of >internal storage< of your phone. I know some instructions says to copy it on SD card - in my case phone can't find it in 'updates' system menu, and it doesn't work in recovery 'update from SD' as well - phone just restarts after 2 seconds.
You can try to use your SD card firstly, but when it fails, just use internal storage.
3. Shut down your phone.
4. Go to RECOVERY - press and hold VOLUME UP button, then press POWER ON. Wait till RECOVERY shows up.
5. Find "Apply update from inner card" - you can navigate using VOL +/- find 'update.zip' and accept using POWER single press.
6. Wait till its updated. Few minutes in my case.
7. Choose "Reboot system now" in RECOVERY.
8. Go to 'Update' menu and check for updates. In current version, it should be B2017G V1.0.0B09 without _UK.
9. Update to V1.0.0B12 via OTA ('update' function in settings) - it should be available - about 450 MB.
9.1 If it's not available, you can download it manually, and place 'update.zip' in root folder of your SD card or INTERNAL storage:

10. After updating to V1.0.0B12 (still Android 6.0.1), you can update to Android 7.1.1 easly (ZTE B2017GV2.0.0B09). Download update (link below) and repeat step 9.1.

That's all! Be patient, first boot after (every) update could take even 10-15 minutes. After all you can check again 'update' in settings, you should be able to make OTA update to ZTE B2017GV2.1.0B12 (security patch 01.september.2017).
Much appreciated that's great thanks very much :good:
Nice guide - there apparently is a last step and that is to do a factory reset after updating I have seen other users say all features are properly available after this
I still await my Global version from gearbest with that £90 offer !

Nice! Will this work for other countries with the "carrier" variant of this phone? Or maybe people can figure that out thanks to OP. Considering picking this phone up at PC Mobile in Canada. Cheers.
does it works with dual sim version too?
I had some issues at step #2 - the update.zip was being rejected with "E: footer is wrong". It turns out that the first 2 times I downloaded B09 Spanish firmware it was slightly corrupted (but not enough to prevent extraction).
Third download of the file gave a different checksum and worked for me. MD5 sum of working file is:
20161222111119358.zip: 1FE524FC244D41DBF39A933A8FB9D00F.
Also, the MD5s for steps 9.1 and 10 (these worked first time for me, but took 3 hours):

It look like the Canadians will be stuck with MM on the AXON. I use it for music and on WIFI so, it's working well anyway for what I do. I use it as a wifi phone sometimes because the voice is clearer than my VOIP setup.

You have to unzip file that you have downloaded and there will be proper zip (update.zip) inside.

What did I miss I on the June security patch
Hi, sorry in advance for my bad English! as we all know, it is now difficult to get the bootloader unlocked on our new huawei, and we can no longer take advantage of features, like easily installing new roms, latest update.... I would like to build with you in this topic, a new guide to easily install the new updates.
Based on this method that works!
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...ide-how-to-update-to-emui-9-c432-l09-t3883557
In your opinions, by downloading a new update files with FirmwareFinder (see video),
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73AUzLQvXkw&feature=youtu.be
would it be possible to edit an archive to install it with flashDrive OTG ? Maybe by editing the names of some files ? Thoses files look really similar than others used in the methode link above.
Maybe those files are ready to import in Hisuite for a manual update? ?
Feel free to discuss all this here, and little by little we will build this new guide together Thx all!!! ?

I have been trying tirelessly to import and update with hisuite.
I truly believe Huawei has implemented some sort of signing technique similar to ios.
I would like to try the otg update as there is a way to install a software update from an SD card via the secret menu. However I do not have an otg for USB c at the moment.
If you download the firmware update and then extract the zip file to the root of the SD card. And try an update that way. Then perhaps it would work.
I have tried using VPNs to bounce me all over the world to try and trigger an update and nothing happens. I am stumped at this point and I refuse to pay somebody to unlock the bootloader. I feel we should be able to unlock our devices at our own free will as we do own them. However it seems Huawei is taking after apple in this regard.

Yes, true... :/ it's absolutly to a wrong way than the android world.
I'll try different ways with otg and update files. You thinks a have to extract zips files on my flashdrive? Update.zip and Update_full_Clt-29...zip? ? And launch the update via dialer code?

You can give it a shot. Not sure if it will work. If the firmware shows as approved for install I don't see why it wouldn't work.
Ok, no result for the moment.. :/ maybe files are nothing organized correctly for this method. ? Maybe need to be renamed. I don't know.. But i'm sure these files can be used for this flash ? Wait and see. Do not not hesitate to give news if you find something!

Firmware finder works. Do the e-recovery method. you want to select the .178 build. when you go to check firmware access, hold your finger on "Check firmware access" button and it will change to approved.

It's not working... Hummm, what is your previous version? 8.1 or 9? I think the erecovery methode not work in 9... ARRGG huaweiii ? i think i'll buy an iPhone ??

Hi,
would this method work for changing region/rebranding? I want to convert a CLT-AL00 to a CLT-L29.
Cheers

No. You need an unlocked bootloader for that.
I managed to download the below update from the XDA site for my GM1920 One Plus 7 Pro (Europe model I think)
OnePlus7ProOxygen_21.E.35_OTA_0350_all_2103221233_748eb2d4.zip
When I go to try and do a local system upgrade via the phone I don't see the file.
To confirm
I have NOT unzipped the file
I have placed it in the root of the phone. By that I mean it's NOT in a directory but at the lowest level on the phones storage.
My phone is NOT rooted.
Can I put this on a USB and try the upgrade via that?
TIA Bart

Hi Bart,
Most of the time it's a simply fix. Check the file name. If it's .jar rename the file to .zip

Okay, worth a try. Then I can only think of one other reason. The last time I had this problem ,I accidentally downloaded the normal OnePlus 7 OTA and not the pro version.
The reason you can't install it is because the device is a 7 Pro 5G or guacamoleg or OnePlus7ProNR. There isn't Android 11 for the 7 Pro 5G yet. Custom roms are a grey area as modem and rotation doesn't work out of the box and needs porting, and even then A11 roms are out of the question

the app will tell you that there is an update, and you just download it.
Then you'' install it using the upgrade app but using the local update option where you will select that file.
Oh OK app isn't telling me there is an update available .
I got the OS 11 stable Update from the xda site
As I said above Android 11 isn't available for the 7 Pro 5G
