you have to flash it via recovery. I use twrp
and nope, its not overwriting unless you already got the oos camera

Oh lord such an "easy" answer i am an idiot. Never thought about to flash it because its a zip file

Though volte works fine ... But there is no indication of it ... ( It can be a issue whenever you go away from volte coverage and come back again you will not be sure that you are rechable or not until you make a test call through volte SIM )

Here are some screenshots and tweak to optimise Lineage for Mix3.
For gesture, install Fluid NG.
For gcams, install magisk module Camera2 Enabler, then install THIS Gcam port made specific for Mix 3, Pocophone, Mi 8.
You'll get perfect Mix 3 running Lineage with excellent photo quality, along with stock-like gesture.

Is it even possible for a version with CAF kernel to become official? This breaks compatibility with official TWRP and stock recovery. And it requires flashing dtbo.img via fastboot, where usually (for official LOS versions) installing the zip via TWRP is enough.

Yes, it is possible. I've been shipping CAF kernels since msm8992. Shipping it in the current state is also possible, but I plan on fixing compatibility.

If you have an issue then grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. This is the best way to report bugs

Also, mobile signal is weaker than stock, noticeable on LTE mode, i hardly got full bar even on outdoor.

Flash only with Magisk 19.2+ version, after flashing module in magisk, wipe cache and dalvik/art cache in recovery before booting phone up.
Download this patch and it will work .

Not a single Gcam front cam works on Android 10 Custom ROM-s...

Hi everyone.
I've been using and switching to and from many of the Android 10 Custom ROMs and I'm using Whyred Global. It seems to me that not a single GCam port works with front camera in combination with any Magisk Module patch I've tried. They sometimes work just for one picture and then stop working. Any suggestions/help would be really appreciated...

Try this flash only with latest msgisk, and when you install it with magisk, before you reboot your phone, go in recovery, wipe dalvik cache and cache. Then boot your phone, and see if it works.

i tried many cameras and front cameras are not working, im using havoc 3.2 and only miui camera works fine.

you can use gcam 7.2 whyred .. front and back everything works smoothly

I tested it on several Android 10 roms, any rom which use new camera blobs is suitable for this workaround, until developers fix libs problem...

Try this one working for me on. Lineage os 17.1
Just search on google "Urnyx05 gcam" go to first link and download first apk file ...... I am not able to paste link here so just follow my steps .. thanx i have traied approximately 50-60 g cam apps but nothing worked . But this worked like charm try and reply...

Does the latest version of trCamera also work with that method? I just downgraded to PE + (android 9) due to this problem.
Edit: Solved with extended kernel.

is it now the android 10 custom rom had fix the problem of error on front camera gcam which is cannot take a picture or crash ? because i have facing this kind of problem everytime i instal any gcam on android 10 , but gcam is running fine on my pie custom rom
