On my s10e, the edge notification works but only does 1 round of the screen and then stops. Ho do I can get edge notification to continue glowing until I unlock the phone?

upgraded from the S4 on Verizon, have a few questions
1. how do I draw on screenshots/pictures now? I couldn't find an option to in gallery edit or google photo edit.
2. how do I see a text notification (an envelope) on the status bar of the lock screen instead of Verizon Wireless and the first part of the text message?
3. how do I disable the 3 buttons from lighting up?
4. which is better, Music or Google Play Music?
5. can I change the Messages theme back to blue and yellow bubbles or better yet custom bubble colors? I do not like the orange and white cremesicle theme
are these things even possible yet? I don't know if these are Verizon or Lollipop messing me up. the Verizon S6 board is dead tho

I bought my Gear S2 yesterday, and it works great!
The only thing so far though, is that is constantly displays an icon on top of the watch widget. Right now it is the icon for 'standalone'.
I wonder if it is possible to remove this icon from here, because it is already at the dropdown tray.
All the images I have seen of the watch in use does not have this icon displayed, so there has to be a way to disable this.
Any suggestions?
So I found out right after I posted this question that there is no icon there when it is connected to my phone using bluetooth. But seeing as I would like to use the Gear S2 standalone as well, I would appreciate if anyone knew if it is possible to turn of this icon when the phone is in 'standalone' mode.

Probably it is not possible for now. That icon acts like signal/network indicator on phone
I'm not a fan of the stand alone mode icon on the watch face. I don't want to have my phone connected all the time and the icon looks terrible on the watch face. There is a whole pull down screen for watch mode icons. It would be great if there was an app that removed any icons from being displayed on the watch face and allowed us to customize what icons we want displayed on the pull down screen.

hi, apologies if this has been posted before but it's really driving me nuts. 2 days ago everything was fine: i'm simply using c-locker as a lock screen. then yesterday i noticed there was another lock screen which can only be unlocked by swiping up. the status bar also changed. whereas before the bar went all the way up to the edge, now there's a black bar. the phone signal moved to the left side. to view notification icons (like an envelope for sms), the sound would come but the status bar would stay the same. by clicking on the status bar only then would the other icons appear and the status bar would go to the original (be all the way to the end of the screen). i'm still googling about but so far zilch.

my wife's phone is a nokia 1020 (we bought it as she loves the camera). it rang last night and she was in the gym. so i answered it and afterwards i noticed that the lockscreen and the status bar were very similar to the one i was having issues with in my edge. so i went over to my edge and uninstalled windows 10 launcher. i had previously installed it because my wife wanted to see if i could replicate her phone interface. so i installed but never used the launcher. when the edge did an ota update, windows 10 launcher was part of the other apps touched. whatever updates happened, the launcher forced it's lockscreen and status bar profiles on top of my existing setup. so, in case you plan to install the win10 launcher, maybe it's best to use it on it's own.
so for the longest time when my gear s3 was connected to my s7 edge, It showed the battery % of the watch next to the quick connect panel on the notification screen on the device. well it doesn't display anymore and I cant find the setting to get it back up. No the nougat update didn't change it because it was there after the official update and all through the BETAS. here is a picture of where it used to be(next to the icon in quick connect)

I'd like to take advantage of the edge lighting in my Samsung to color-code information. So, instead of having to unlock my phone, the edge lighting notification will tell me what it is (I know the meaning of each color). To give a simple example, take the weather: edge lighting in blue for rain, yellow for sunny, and red for extreme weather.
It'd be nice to do this without having to send a notification each time, just have the phone change edge color throughout the day; not periodically with the same colors in sequence (that's a traffic light or Christmas tree), but as a function of an information feed. An optional notification message would be nice, but I'd like to control when it happens, so I'm not flooded with notifications. Basically, I would like to use my phone as a discreet notification system, so I can go about my day without necessarily opening the phone too often; only when certain colors come up.
Any ideas on how to do it? Where can I find sample code on how to control the edge lighting?
