So I'm excited to get Android 5.0 Lollipop on my device tomorrow. I agree with the article about features that are very exciting for this update.
Set-up Assistant
User Profiles
Screen Pinning
Quick Settings
Better battery usage
Notifications
Improved Multitasking
Trusted Bluetooth (and NFC) devices
Material Design
Flappy Bird as part of Lollipop’s Easter Egg
I would also add Runtime and Performance as well as security features.
One of the best feature is the ability to sign into any lollipop device and getting your personal information right there just as you left your last device.
What are your favourite features in Android 5.0 Lollipop?

Update: While if you want to play around with this, you are free, I just found that KitKat's colorblind support is disabled for good reason: the OS's code is buggy, and in particular the correction modes are the same as the simulation modes! So don't bother with this app.
I noticed that KitKat includes support for colorblind users, just like Lollipop does, but simply does not have any user interface to enable it.
So I wrote a little app to enable the colorblind support in KitKat. Needs root.
It also include colorblindness simulation modes for developers to test how things might look to colorblind users. These modes might be useful to developers on Lollipop.
Here it is.
(I'd love to hear from both KitKat and Lollipop users if it works.)
I'm not colorblind, just curious.
The app works great on kitkat 4.4.2.
Great job.
Playing with the Android source showed me that the correction modes in KitKat are bogus, unlike the ones in Lollipop. There was good reason why Google kept the functionality disabled.
Great
Thank you!
I'm running lollipop on a samsung (tab s2).
The samsung color correction app is inferior to the one in vanilla android.
Thanks to you i can see colors well. The app does significantly reduce the performance of my device though. If you can optimize it for lollipop i would be grateful.
You might also want to try my Color Changer. The free version is all you need for color correction, and the color correction should be better than ColorBlind, which really doesn't work well.

Great, thanks. i bought the pro version.
The performance is better than colorblind for kitkat, but a tiny bit more sluggish than vanillas. It's worth the dollar until cyanogenmod is released for my device.

The performance is dependent on the GPU and its driver. ColorChanger/ColorBlind uses the same Android code that is used to provide colorblindness support on vanilla 5.0 devices. My guess is that the vanilla devices you are using have a GPU/driver that supports the relevant texture operations more efficiently.
Dosent work
Dosent work with my MI3 with Android 4.4.4 KK MIUI7
Is it ColorBlind or Color Changer that doesn't work for you? If Color Changer, email me a log with catlog after it fails (arpruss at gmail).
After trying the LineageOS latest alpha 15 I found that the new features are not really worth the hassle of making things work. I just tried the new action launcher on LineageOS 14.1 and basically the only thing I can see that is missing is the very limited picture in picture.
What do you think?
You see one thing...Oreo is not a big update....only u can say it is an improved version of nougat...remember the marshmallow one...it is not a huge update from lollipop---just doze mode improved ,some visual changes happened bla bla bla....same thing happens with Oreo...settings menu visually changed,u can now officially use substratum theme engine, battery settings is new, doze is improved, autofill api added etc..you see these are not big changes, but it enriches the user experience for sure...that's all...maybe u get a much improved battery life, maybe your notification reading experience changes a little bit..that's the fact...
So my advice is as u are not a tester just stick with nougat(aex has given a fantastic nougat support throughout its journey)...once Oreo stable is released try it..

Couldn't say it better!
Does anybody who got that update knows what has actually changed, the update weighed 460MB and the only thing I noticed was the weather widget that has changed the look to more "S8 looking" (I haven't installed any S8 ported apps except the new touchwiz home)
The Security Patch is From December 1st 2017
Yes... I didn't find any noticeable performance improvements either.... may be some stability improvements... lets Hope will get Oreo Soon...
Every one believes that nougat has no other easter eggs...except that "cat, fish, chicken collector" thing ( which is boring )....and Oreo has just a octopus with powers of Mr.fantastic....
But it's not true ....nougat and oreo both have 2 more easter eggs...
that's
1)That Dessert case from kitkat
2)Marshmallow's flappy android game
I don't know why Android Nougat and Oreo doesn't include this in its easter egg......
Update: Kitkat's dessert case is also available on marshmallow....lollipop, and android p yet to test...
So I made an app with the help of Tasker which launchs the Easter eggs....

Try it ....and also test it on lollipop and P( if someone got it)..
