Hi,
yes ofcourse mate, you can just flash it on your headunit, and don't mind / pay any attention about the number 4, maybe it's for the hardware version of the used components on the headunits? I say maybe.

Hi,
just as you did flashed that mcu file mate, from the settings or from the recovery mode by rebooting your headunit into recovery and then flash it from there, Yes, if you have chosen a clean installation by wipe option.. but my preference is always went for a clean installation.. to prevent some misery!
(((if your headunit is flashed with a custom rom? you can still just flash it as normale.. but if it not work? flash then first the recovery mode file from hal9 or malay.. format your sd (usb) card with fat32 (it should not be bigger than 16gb!).. put the "newer" update.zip on your root sd (usb) card and insert it into the gps slot.)))

Hi,
what i had heard is that the dvr recording (cam ?) problem or something like that? has been fixed and perhaps some other improvements.
ps: they (our nice guys) only waiting for the AH update rom, so I don't think that they gonna making a custom rom from this newer HCT updated one or from any other -sellers- rom.. there's something weird about the AH fw rom.. does it came from the ufo little things? I'm started to believe in that ufo stuff.

Hi,
No.. but is well a nice rom too, I had it on my headunit yesterday just for test, thats why I was offline, need the root for a few apk's which I use here so thats why reflashed hal9 back, if you as "I'm" not really need any root rom? , I will say use such rom mate.

Hello Matteo and thank you for this work. I am waiting for a ROM since a long time.
I have some questions before trying to install it:
- After some months of use, is it still working well on your Wiko ?
- Which is the version of the ROM ? I was not sure to understand (Android 5, Cyanogen, lineageOS)
Thanks by advance

- note the approx 5 minutes of grey screen before "erase" is seen, proceeding first SDCard install of android 8 recovery files.
Team effort. Noted no BT with wd725 (integrated wifi/bt.)
Technical details of the 'Upgrade" - maybe useful in other upgrade scenarios:
- The Android 6 [update.img] [miniloaderall.bin] has been replaced with the Oreo [miniloaderall.bin] from the Oreo OTG ROM Extract.
- The modifed Android 6 update image is used to create a bootable SDCARD. containing the the Oreo Miniloader.
- SDCARD flashes the OREO Recovery images to NAND.
- With Oreo Recovery installed, .ZIP upgrade images can be installed.
Hi,
With resellers not proving a PX5 Oreo ROM image and no other member having OTG and as I have OTG and the jig/tools I could provide a ROM extract if the community provides a PX5 Oreo core board or complete unit.
Any supporters for either loaning a PX5 Oreo SOM or funding a complete unit?
If loaned I would extract ROM and return SOM within 2 days.

I will likely be able to loan a unit or SOM within a week or so. I noticed the SOM rev 8 (used in the Oreo hu) has more header pins than the earlier version though some may be blank. Is your hardware compatible?

I'm a bit new to this. I see when I click the link there's an image and also a "download" button. If I download there's a jpeg sharp enough to read the silkscreen. (Unless Samsung is only allowing downloads to Samsungs?) I took the pic with my cellphone, I could also do one on the dslr.

Does anyone know if the interface board provides better (i.e. multiple) USB ports now (i.e. not a single USB port split with a hub), and/or if the USB is better than the prior USB speed and power provided?

Why would you say that ? My MM 4Gb RK3368/PX5 SoM is also rev8.0.
@marchnz you could try using MTCD ROM Builder (here, needs a Linux machine : https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...re-development/tool-mtcd-rom-builder-t3475444 ) to make an image using the files in the zip. Theres the option to use FUSE which may get a round any partitioning problems.
I use Linux so I can make an image if youve got somewhere I can upload it to.
Maybe I ll try it myself, its just the hassle of trying to unbrick it if it bricks.
EDIT: just re read that thread and see youve already posted in it and used it on your RK3368/PX5, not sure it would work anyway as I think it requires a proper image already, dont think it can make one from separate images.

To create the image we need the partition addresses....so..unless we got an update with the classic .img or we could dump it from an already MTCD px5 under android 8.
I am going to receive a 4gb/32 px5 board with preinstalled android 8...but I don't know how to do for my pc to recognize it in order to dump the software...(I did before for android tv under rk3288)
Any suggestion?

I could try using an MM RK3368/PX5 image and adding the separate images from the Oreo update.zip.

I'm aware of that. But you've written it so that they're all fully compatible, so software and MCU, and they're not. There are many here who can misunderstand that.
Software yes.
MCU must correspond to the respective manufacturer.

I think not. Most Android 9 Roms are for Emui9 Vendor or are not flashable cause Error Codes in TWRP. Only Openkirin OmniPie works mostly bugfree for our Mate.10 lite.
Please take a couple of screenshots of the Mate 10 lite with this system installed. If possible, tell us if you encounter any bugs, especially with the camera, calling or battery.
I know most of us would appreciate it.
Hi.
Both roms working on Mate 10 lite, i was using them for last week. Camera, calling quality and allmost everything working nicely. Battery is also nice.?
Ps(There r AOSP camera, not Huawei).
I found only one issue , connecting with tv (not via youtube, but directly from qs) cousing soft restart.
Sorry for my english ?

Hi guys, I have a mate 10 lite RNE-L21C432 running version 8.0.0.342 and using askuccio twrp, bootloader unlocked, FRP unlocked.
I tried to install the dot os by following these steps: format data, reboot, wipe data, cache, delvik, system, reboot, flash rom, reboot to system and i get stuck booting and it says "your device is now booting". I also tried doing the same thing but before rebooting to system, flash stock recovery and factory reset and then boot to system and I get the same results. I have also tried using another TWRP and the same happens. Can someone give me some help?

Hi Arkadas,
why not update your mcu with the sp mod one? it gives the best sound possible from your car speakers i.c.w with Eqfy Equalizer v1.1.4.apk.. 100% for sure, I use it here myself too and we both have the same MX version headunit, so I would update it too quickly to the sp mod version if I you was, and you will notice the difference in the sound quality 100% audible.
Sp mcu mods: https://mega.nz/#F!T1FgjA7A!wc9p40bocqCiBX8XPR50ig .. take yours from there mate!
Ps: I can guarantee / certainly say now that the time bug is 100% fixed with yours too, I have already test it / installed & uses it at this moment too!!

RK3368 is a octa-core cpu, RK3399 is a six core, why your system info report rk3368 with 6 core cpu? Why this mix info from px5-px6?
