Android Q for Whyred - Vendor Help - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

Hello, with the release of Android Q GSI port a new set of vendor files are necessary to boot the System properly since the ones available result in lots of FCs or boot loops, currently, the most stable vendor is MCAosp, but even that is unstable, so if someone is interested in testing or helping around with logs
just join: Mod edit: Link removed

@IntelliJAbhishek @jhenrique09 @AL_IRAQI @yshalsager @Shahan_mik3 can you guys help please?

First of all, don't spam developers like this.
Android Q current release is just the first beta build, and till the last beta release the only available ROMs will be SGSI which is too hacky.
You don't need to worry about Q for whyred till the official Q and its sources are out.
If you want to use sGSI, at least learn how to get logs, and provide it to a developer who is willing to help or even try to fix it yourself.

if you don't have anything useful to say, please refrain from doing so, the last time i checked asking for help isn't a bad thing and i don't think they need you to speak for them

Look up the meaning of word help in dictionary and then come back.
You are politely ordering them to do a job. You are not asking for help. A child asks for help in his homework. When your car breaks down then you ask for help from strangers so that they can push it with you. Teacher helps a student when he has a doubt. And so on... Just open a dictionary. U will soon understand ordering someone to do something (for free) no matter how politely you ask will always be responded in such a way.
BTW its a person whom u tagged. Others won't respond well seeing how you respond to a developer response. Even if u ignore me u are in short harming your so called "help" post with such reply.

you are being shortsighted I know who I tagged btw gladly this isn't my first android device or first day on XDA.
First of all, you don't know who is behind the group, probably there are already people working on that and that's why help is needed, even a simple tip is enough, nobody asked for a full vendor zip, and probably the other guy isn't English and chose the words poorly.
The way I see you and I are really just making offtopic here and neither of them needs an internet warrior to defend them

HD2 WP7 Theme released...

Now before you guys bite my head off, this is a link to the original forum http://bbs.xda.cn/forum-329-1.html. I cannot access the post to read the details, but the post was made a few minutes ago. Does anyone have access to the forum in order to read the contents of that topic, perhaps a download link?

Don't be There are two different threads on XDA.cn - one for the theme, and one for the port. The theme is the one that has been released - hopefully the port will follow soon!
P.S. You can sign up at XDA.cn using Google Chrome & the translate option.
OP please change topic name..

I think you have to use different browser to register,if you use, google chrome, its unlikely to register.I tried with it,then I change to Opera browser.I think chrome not fully supported Java(popup).Anyway, there is no update at there as well. What we see here is totally same with there.Even china users have no clue at all.
LOL...seriously,OP please change the title,it is misleading...
As the OP has not changed the title, I have done so.
Moved as well, as not WP7 development

Think that's right.
Until you get the necessary number of posts, PM is your only choice that I know of.
Thank you all
thanks for your reply
i will try using pms till i get 10 posts
PM is too much work, but i know other people who are having the same problem
I think there should be a provision that after a certain number of days, one can post in the dev sections.
I've been doing some testing on my phone but whenever I want to post my thoughts, I get that message.
Inevitably, I now find myself facing a big problem that needs advanced answers but I can't post in the DEV sections. For all the good that XDA has given me, this one single drawback is steadily nullifying it all.

You could always send the dev for that rom a pm to ask them the question. I'm sure they will be able to help you.

Lollipop ROM Dev Funding

MOD EDIT
Don't mean to sound rude but it appears that you have never developed anything before. Also your previous threads show that you have trouble rooting your phone and even installing roms.
Is there a track record that can show us what you can do?
This is by far the worst post / thread I've ever seen and in my opinion should be deleted. There was just a discussion the other day and"Devs" who bait ppl into funding them by talks of a "rom" being developed. Your past threads show mainly work on Galaxy phones, and 1 of the very few HTC topics was a thread u started a as not even knowing how to root this phone, yet u claim to have a rom in the works. A real dev would at least show some samples of their work instead of saying"hey ppl, send money for new phone(s) and I'll build u all a rom. If I'm wrong about this, mods please feel free to delete my post and/or PM me, but this seems like a blatant attempt at trolling/baiting people into funding a new phone for u. PEOPLE, PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS IN SITUATIONS SUCH AS THIS,DON'T GO JUMPING IN HEAD FIRST AND OPENING YOUR WALLET TO PEOPLE WITH NO TRACK RECORD,ESPECIALLY WHEN L's RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER.
And if I'm wrong, my apologies, but again, this was just discussed the other day (forget exactly which thread), but your not really giving anybody ANYTHING to go on.
I'm shocked a mod haven't closed this thread
Note from the Mod: While we do have eyes, we only have 2 of our own It is our members most times who help stop these things by bringing them to our attention via PM or simply using the report button.

Myself as well. Thread has been reported to 2 different mods... Normally I'm not the type at all to report anything/anybody, but this is BLATANTLY baiting people..

Galaxy S8 LineageOS 15.1

NOTE: This is an exact copy of my post in the lineageOS section for the galaxy S8. The reason I am re-posting it here is because I want to get the word out to people who may not be taking note of that particular thread as some may consider it a dead thread. I hope this is not considered spamming, the only copy of this post is here and in the lineageos section for the S8, I will not be posting it anywhere else. Thank you.
I have been using XDA for years but have mainly been using the roms that other dev's have built and also looking for answers to any questions I had to potential problems throughout the years. I have never felt the need to create an account as I felt I had nothing to offer, everything that I could do was already being done by someone else and I don't post questions because 99% of the time a quick google of the error code or problem will turn up an answer either on here or somewhere else. Anyway, I have been using the s8 for a while and have been running renovate ICE 11.1 stable which is an absolutely brilliant ROM, huge hat tipping to the dev's for that, it's such a shame it's heading the way it is. I have been looking into running lineageOS but as you all probably know, the unoffical ports are not good and have been left in alpha stage for a long time which is sad, especially as people donated money to have that done. So, I am going to port it myself, only because I want to run it myself, however, I figured that I may as well release it for everyone instead of being selfish and keeping it just for myself. I will probably never use this XDA account again after I post the ROM so this is just a shout out to let people know that they should watch my account if they are after lineage 15.1 for the s8 G950F.
Thanks for reading.
EDIT: Later than I said but here it is.

One UI|5 Aug|One UI Rom for Google Pixel 3 XL|9.0|TESTING STAGE

Hi everyone. I'm new here so if I write anything wrong here, please tell me, I will not do it again.
I am developing a One UI ROM for the Pixel 3 XL and I thought if any of you could help me test it and remove all of the bugs from it.
Thanks
P.S:I don't have enough money to buy that phone myself because of the high rate of US Dollar in my country. Here a phone for $200 is too expensive for us

I'm excited about this project. I would love it if we had a ROM which would use the same icons on status bar as those on Samsung phones. I just don't have the knowledge to do it myself. Those is the one thing I hate about Pixel phones (their boring icons). I'm willing to test it out on my Pixel 3Xl. You might want to repost this on the Pixel 3Xl forum so you can get more people interested.

P.S I will also add a donate button over time

I know it's rude to ask about timelines, but when do you think you may have it ready for testing? Are you just getting started or almost finished?
It's okay, you can ask for timelines at any time
I'm on the downloading part of the source code and it's almost finished. Maybe in 2-3 days I will upload a link
Never hesitate to ask for ETA's
