Thank you for your kind words PamelaGirl.
I don't think it's possible on stock. Maybe if you are root and are using a ROM allowing you to remap the soft/hard key.
I know you can register your app to be a provider for Google Search but I'll need to dig a little bit to see how it should be done.
I'm proud of DuckDroid but without a better Web API from duckduckgo, I don't think the app could be build to be a real search application.
Duckduckgo dev has published their new app yesterday. My advice is to try it.
Their app is much more complete and offer great feature on top of duckduckgo and their zero click api.
See here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.duckduckgo.mobile.android

Hello again SprigganMaster,
Thank you for the response.
Yes I am on a custom ROM and will try to figure this out.
Need to figure out how to remap the search key with only a single press and not a long press.
Coming from the iphone I wanted less Apple in my life, and now with this Android device I REALLY want even less google in my life!
Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work/vibes!

[APP][2.1+] AndyPedia -- Better Wikipedia

The official Wikipedia Android app is in need of a little help. PhoneGap is not the way to go.
So, I made this native Wikipedia app.
Here are the big six features:
- Find in Page
- Quick Search Box integration -- get to articles even faster
- Search suggestions
- URL interception -- go straight to AndyPedia or your browser when clicking on a Wikipedia link; it's your choice!
- NFC -- Share the article directly with another device using Android Beam, even if that device does not have AndyPedia!
- Share -- Share via your installed apps.
100% open source (GPLv2+): https://github.com/NightlyNexus/AndyPedia
Compatible with 2.1+.
Enjoy!

Hello, I've been learning web design for a while now, I decided to move a bit into android app development. I just uploaded my first app to Play Store. It is mobile html editor which lets you create and edit Html files on your mobile and then live-preview it in the in-app browser. It also a feature for you to type a website and get the source-code of it. One can also learn basic web design skills using the 'learn to code feature. I'll be glad if you can download it and let me know what you thing about it.
Here's the link to it.
