The phone is LG G Pro 2 F350L Official Lolipop. Sometime it get very hot and drain battery fast. I put in CPU Stat and it show CPU Usage 50-60% at all time while not in use. Any solution to fix it? How can I check what exact app heat up the CPU?
try to tweak the kernel to lower values using kernel auditor :good:
Where exactly to modify kernel value? What does kernel do? Why would it lower the CPU heat?

Hi!
I just want to know what is the min-max values of temperature that keeps my phone working good without problems or risks.
I've my cpu overcloacked to 1.3GHz
Normally i've 30°-36° and when i'm playing, the max i've seen was 40°, someone knows what are de recommended values or something like that?
Temps for battery have a lot to do with the rom your on. Some roms will run the same kernel but will overheat my battery more I've noticed.
So recently I've become too lazy to constantly charge my Captivate and began to experiment with undervolting/underclocking it. Has anyone found optimal voltage for battery life? I've currently got every step of 200mhz down 100 volts and underclocked to a max of 800mhz. I'm on Semaphore kernel 2.9.5sc.

There isn't a optimal setting as all phones act different. Testing is the best you can do.
which cpu governor are you running? that may have more effect than underclocking/undervolting on battery life.
user Stempox has a nice post on cpu governors here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28647926
the screen on time and data/gps traffic, and apps that keep the phone awake, do more to effect power drain than other factors. so, if you manage those, and choose the governor that suits you preferences, then undervolting and underclocking aren't needed, IMHO.
you can tweak the governor settings with Semaphore manager, if you really want to do that too.
the thing is, you may end up keeping the screen on longer than you would at higher cpu speeds, which would counter any battery savings. also, undervolting can increase the error rate, which means further delays while phone is awake.
hope this is helpful in your pursuit of fewer charging cycles.

Hello guys if you have note 3 (sm-n900) with Kernel -halaszk-UNIVERSAL5420- and want to undervolt your CPU I have found a stable voltage for undervolting, Use SetCpu, first of all set your CPU when you are playing huge games to avoid overheating to min.200 max1300Ghz.
200Mhz-700mv
250-750
300-775
350-825
400-850
450-875
500-925
550-975
600-1025
650-1075
800-750
900-800
1000-825
1100-850
1200-875
1300-950 or 975
If your device overheats after undervolting I recommend to use DVFS disabler.
Do keep in mind, that there are not 2 exactly same devices. There is no stable voltage, which works for all phones with that model number.
Need help
I am using N-900 running Lollipop stock rom 5.0
I wanna do undervolting the cpu for long lasting battery life without flashing new mod rom.
Please give me some advice or recommended kernel for stock rom supporting an undervolt method.
Thank you in advance.
are there tests for battery life gained vs performance lost? would be interesting

1) What is DVFS?
2) Underclock to 200mhz is NOT POSSIBLE!
3) There no undervolting, because my phone stock volt for 300Mhz is 775Mhz, which i use for 300Mhz is 700Mhz and no reboot, nothing. Just bit longer battery life.
4) Setting for 300Mhz-1300Mhz for gaming isn't recommend i. Just enabler Samsung Stock Power Saving. It's limited CPU to 1700Mhz with MCPS (Multi-core Power Saving) with Bettery thermal options and GPU framerates limits to 30FPS for slightly save power and slightly reduce overheating.
Thanks
Wondering if someone know any kernel that has energy "savings" parameters such as underclocking cpu(phone is quite fast itself and to be honest as a daily driver some users rarely use more than 30% of it's actual power), energy saving profil, underclocking gpu
Surely you can underclock stuff for yourself and after a restart an app to force those lower clocks but why not having a kernel that has all these so you'll have better battery life and be done with tweaking?
What are your thoughts people?
I don't know everyone got same problem like me or not. But i got problem about my battery.
I using ex kernel and fkm kernel manager for boot cpu up!
Then i test run cpu, when my battery temp got around 39-40 degree, my cpu drop automatic. And then i change the rom to EU, CN. But i still same problem.
So, I would like to know how can I limit battery temp around 70 up, i don't want my cpu drop down while i boot cpu high rate.
Example : I boot cpu to 2414/2814, and then cpu drop around 1340/1610
Anyone help?
