hello a different variant of Galaxy S6 SM-G920l ROM was installed on a Galaxy S6 SM-G920r4. trying to install Galaxy S6 SM-G920r4 ROM so it overwrite the other one but every time i try it gives me FAIL in ODIN. Is there a way i can go around this?
MAYBE if you set up Odin to use the PIT file for the ROM that is SUPPOSED to be on the thing in the first place along with the one you WANT to try .... NOTE - have NEVER attempted that, but it sort of appeals to the logic of how Android space is partitioned. You might end up with a brick, so please take the suggestion with appropriate skepticism and caution.

I need hellllllppp.. maybe i need to flash the latest firmware? this one is old form 2014 but the first one like i mentioned came out corrupted which is from 2015! thx

I am pretty sure i didnt OEM unlock, and twrp is loaded on my phone but no OS apparently. i think i may remember ticking repartition with a sm-n920t pit file flashing with the stock firmware atleast once.
Phone: Samsung Galaxy Note 5
Model: SM-N920T
S/W: N920TUVU2COI5
Try downloading the stock firmware from another site. I use to have the same problem. Make sure you download the correct stock firmware that matches the model number on the phone.
Download N920TUVU2COI5 firmware or download the latest N920TUVS4DPH2 firmware or just use smart switch emergency recovery option it should work
Sent from my Samsung SM-N920T using XDA Labs
Grab the stock 5.1.1 Rom and load the tar in Odin bro

I have a Straight talk galaxy s7 SM-G930VL that I wanted to root. I followed a video on youtube and did get it rooted, although it's buggy as hell and i cant do almost anything without a "stopped responding" message. I Used Odin to flash an AP file that was given from the video, now when i boot up my S7 it has a little lock that says Custom. To my understanding that means it's detecting a custom rom is in use. Well this custom rom is slowing down my phone, bootlooping at some points, and being a real pain. I can't find the original firmware anywhere online and it's becoming a real headache for me. I need some help figuring out how to get my stock firmware back if possible, or some other solution.
If any other info is needed, I will be glad to provide it, thank you.
Edit: Now I can't even boot up the system. When i do, it says Samsung Galaxy S7 then the little lock icon that says custom, powered by android.
Also I used the recovery settings and it says it can't mount /system
So as of right now, my phone is totally useless.

Anyway, I was given a TMobile Galaxy S6 as a hand-me-down phone from my family, and wanted to know what was the best way to root the device. I don't really care if i trip Knox, but i'd like it to be unnoticeable, and i'd love to not trip it at all, if possible. I don't want to have an "Unlocked" sign everytime i bootup. I want to be able to run Vanilla Oreo (or close to it) without touchwiz as the phone has been getting laggy, and since i already have another Rooted Device, it's not laggy when running Resurrection Remix, which i'll probably end up running that ROM on this phone as well. I've heard the TMobile version has a Bootloader unlock, but i'm not sure how to go about doing that without bricking the device. The reason i'm asking is because the last Samsung device i had, a Galaxy S5, was bricked for a number of months before i was able to flash stock again using a SD Card, and i don't want to have to go through that again with this phone. Should i just follow this tutorial? or is there a better way to flash without tripping Knox? I know how to root & BL Unlock, i've done it on a number of close-to-stock devices, but Samsung devices are a whole 'nother world of trouble that i don't even know how to deal with.
Device: T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 - SM-G920T
Running: Android 7.0
Build Number: NRD90M.G920TUVU5FQG3
Baseband Version: G920TUVU5FQG3
I have the same phone ,first go to developer option and allow iem unlock ,reboot to odin and flash cf auto root (choose the one for your modele and os exactly) then reboot
Hey, I've been searching for a custom rom for my device, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Refine (Boost Mobile), and I came to no results. My phone doesn't even have a OS installed, making it rather useless unless I find a ROM. Any help is appreciated. I'm really new to this custom rom thing.
Things I know:
Running TWRP Version 3.2.3-0
When attempting to flash a ROM that was intended for the j7elte (ik, really dumb) it came up with the result of:
E3004: This package is for device: j7elte; this device is jackpotlte.
TL;DR:
Looking for a custom rom for my Samsung Galaxy J7 Refine (Boost Mobile).
Update:
I managed to look up the IMEI on samfw and I got the result of Samsung J7 Top. So I downloaded the firmware for my device and I flashed it using ODIN. I'm honestly confused why I got that result but I'm glad my phone isn't bricked. I noticed that when I flashed the firmware using ODIN, TWRP was gone from my phone, so that's nice to know.
