Hi! Just pre ordered a galaxy s10, and I'm considering in buying a new wireless charger, compatible with the fast charge 2.0 Samsung announced.
The only official wireless charger which is told to be compatible is the duo one, but it is expensive and I won't use the duo functionality.
Do you have any informations about that? An other (official or not) wireless charger compatible with this fast charge ? Or do you know how many watts this fast charge 2.0 is?
Thanks for your help

Fast charge i believe is 12W.
The duo is the only charger available for 2.0 i believe at the moment.

However this one does the LGs at 15w so theoretically it should do the S10 at 12W I was on the fence and I didn't want to gamble so I just got the Samsung duo Wireless Charger Metal Frame Slim 15W Wireless Charging Pad Compatible with iPhone X,XS Max,XR,8,8 Plus Samsung Galaxy S9/S9 Plus/S8/Note 8 & All Qi-Enabled Device-QC 3.0 Adapter Include (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HD2CWYR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_87PECbBPQTE81
Yes it looks great, but I'm afraid that it won't charge at his full power because of a proprietary blocking of Samsung

So that 15W version... Does it charge the S10 @ the 12W or 15W? anyone tested it yet? What voltage, 9V?
There is a 20W version on Bangood.

Looks like it charges @ up to 12v though. Not sure the Samsungs go up past 9V

Hi there. I am one of those people that like to have a multitude of chargers around my house. So far all I have are the stock cheap chargers and the fast charge one that comes with the phone. Does anyone know of any relatively cheap chargers for the s6 that use the new fast charging? I've seen the HTC and Samsung ones but they seem to be rather pricy. I'm from Australia, so anything Amazon unfortunately doesn't ship here.
Thanks heaps.
There isn't any other than the official Samsung one. Aukey do a quick charge 2.0 powerbank and there's a QC2.0 car charger available too, both on Amazon though.
unfortunately, fast chargers are still relatively new and aren't very cheap. that said, you can still find some on eBay that are cheaper than the Samsung charger. search for "quick charge 2.0." it is the very same standard that Samsung rebranded as "adaptive fast charging," so devices can be used interchangeably.

Yes, I know what qualcomm quick charge is. I was just confused about what you stated since I did not think Qualcomm makes chargers.

No, quick charge 2.0 is a standard, not a speed. Also, quick charge 2.0 is not available as wireless. That's a different standard again (Qi & Pmat).

Nexus 6P just announce yesterday, google said it support fast charge, 5V @3a, TOTAL 15W, but never mentioned if it support qualcomm quick charge 2.0 . Since the Nexus 6P use snapdragon 810, it suppose to support quick charge 2.0?
But anyway, since the nexus 6P use the type c port, the regular car charger won't work it, at least you need to prepare another type c cable or adapter. but today i will recommend a tronsmart type c car charger:
<MODERATOR EDITED - LINK REMOVED>
With this car charger, you just need to plug and charge your nexus 6p directly, and it also offer another port which support quick charge 2.0. So if your family have the old nexus 6 or samsung s6 etc, they also can get quick charge.
Let me know your thought about this little cool car charger?
Couldn't you just use an old quick charge for the car, and just replace the cable with USB c one?

Yes you can, why wouldn't you be able to? The charger uses a USB 3.0 port from what I've heard but it doesn't matter even if had a SUB 3.1 Type-C port instead on the plug. The phone will determine how much power it can pull from the charger and its backwards compatible with QC 1.0 plus its no different than QC 2.0 from what I've seen it just uses slightly higher rates but the overall output is the same. The output is actually about the same as the Nexus 6's charger which is 14.4W because this one is 15W.
I was thinking of this one and getting a usb-c cable.

Have you got the UK link? Would be interested in buying one.
Just to clarify, the Nexus 6P has a USB 2.0 socket, not 3 or 3.1, but utilises the USB-C 3A charger for fast charging.
USB-C ≠ USB 3.1. One is the plug type, one is the speed of data transfer. :good:

As far as I can tell, the nexus 6p won't support Qualcomm QC2, which is what this uses. I could only find one 3A USB-C charger on Amazon, and I have no idea whether it would work. I'd look for things designed for Chromebook pixels and macbooks and not something that advertises Android compatibility, since most Android phones don't use USB-C.

It still chargers just as fast according to Google so I hope that proves to be true when people get it. 1-100% in 91 minutes for a 3450mah battery is pretty good by any standard.
So, we shouldn't be looking for quick charge Chargers but USB C certified chargers at the 3 amp rating?

Is there any official QC 3 charger for Mi Max available in india ? or something from other mainstream phone manufacturers that could be used with Mi Max ?
I am using my old Galaxy Note 4 charging brick with the Mi Max cable included in the box and charging speed is great on both official MIUI ROM or Validus ROM, 2360 mAh
I've been using an Aukrey Qualcomm 3.0 Quick Charger with my mi max; charges it up from 2℅ to 100℅ within 25-30 minutes, which is quite impressive regarding the fact that it bears one of the largest batteries(4850mAh) in the smartphone market.
So, you should opt for this particular one........i guess?
I got Tronsmart and its working great, and it was listed in Qualcomm pdf.
I read about that quick charge 2.0 charges as fast as quick charge 3.0 , the difference is that QC 3.0 allows wider selection of voltages , so the main difference is not speed but compatibility . Does someone using QC 2.0 and what times do you get from 1-2% to 100% ? In my town there is only QC 2.0 on store and i dont want to order online and wait weeks

But for OP, you can use almost any powerbank. Only the output speed is difference. There isnt any powerbank which support dash charge so you wont get "fast charge" speeds. But you can get regular 2.4A speed. So no fast charge but yes regular charge.

This powerbank supports Oppo's VOOC charging which is basically the same as DashCharge and I am happy with it!
Downsides: you can't Dash charge the powerbank and you need to use the original OnePlus red charging cable to get Dash Charge working.

Hello
can someone share what are the optimal specs that car charger for note 9 should have?
i am looking for chip and small car charger but that has optimal spec for charging fast.
thanks
QC 2.0 charger, Samsung's own adaptive fast charger or wireless. I'd recommend Anker if you can still find QC 2.0 chargers by them. Or their batteries with USB charging or wireless like the new Tesla charger.
Hello and thanks for the answer.
what is the difference between QC2 and samsung adaptative ? this means also that QC3 is usable? i have read somewhere that are chargers that "talk" to the phone to discover the best current to apply....
thanks
Note9 only supports QC 2.0 unless something changed. Some people complain but I don't like charging my phone fast unless I have to and 2.0 is plenty fast. It is less wear on the battery, which is sealed, and I don't want a bulging sealed phone and for it to last 2 years.
---------- Post added at 11:24 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:23 AM ----------
Adapative charger should've came in the box. I also got a charger when I caught the DEX pad on sale @ Samsung for $37.50, $40 after tax.
for example EP-LN930B is the right car charger for note 9? i have searched but there are a plenty of them from samsung on the market..
