Broken Power Button? Here's how-to boot and power off/restart (no Root required) - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I broke the power button cable a few years ago. Found how to boot, power off, restart my 1+1.
To boot
1. completely drain battery
2. hold volume down + plug USB charger
it will enter recovery, where you can start system
To wake up
1. Double tap screen
To power off or restart for unrooted phone
1. install "Button Savior Non Root" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smart.swkey.nonroot
2. follow setting up instruction (which involves allowing accessibility)
3. on screen option appears for power button (where you can power off, restart, screenshot)
FYI, I'm running Lineage 16 + latest TWRP recovery. (TBH, I don't know how to restart, if the system crashes with battery life left)

[Q] How to restore a broken nexus s to factory settings

hi, i tried to root my new non-us nexus s (super lcd) (2.3.4) and its stuck at the google boot logo.
how can i completly reset it in every way so it will function again? And it would be great if someone could explain it to me in an understandable language. i've not studied rocket science. most, if not all of the guides on the web showing how to root an android device arent made for normal users and not everyone is a mad hacker for 20 years.
thanks in advance
boot to fastboot:
- remove battery
- insert battery
- hold Volume down + power button
- you will now see fast boot screen
- use volume button to navigate down to RECOVERY, select it with power button
- you will see a triangle with exclaimation mark screen with android robot
- press Volume up + power button (might take a few tries)
- you will see another screen, this is your RECOVERY mode
- go to factory reset/wipe all data
- use volume button to navigate, power button to select
- Wipe and back normal!

I wonder if someone could help me with just one more step here. I need to reset my phone, but the screen is absolutely dead due to being dropped too many times. Could someone with a working screen walk me through these steps as if doing it blind –*how many clicks, how long to wait, etc.?

[Hint] "Remove Battery" is a shortcut, not required for Recovery/Odin

If you do not use a case, or have quick access to your battery, it may be preferable to just remove the battery as instructed.
However if you have your Skyrocket in a case, such as the Otterbox, you understand the extra steps and frustration of removing the battery. Just thought you may want to know you don't HAVE to remove the battery...
To get into recovery without battery removal:
1) Remove USB cable if attached
2) Reboot (either normally, or by holding power for 10 seconds)
3) When the screen goes black, release any other button and hold VolUp + VolDown
4) Wait until Samsung logo appears and disappears as normal, then release all buttons.
5) You are in recovery
Likewise for Odin, except with USB attached.
1) Connect to PC via USB Cable if not already connected
2) Reboot (either normally, or by holding power for 10 seconds)
3) When the screen goes black, release any other button and hold VolUp + VolDown
4) Wait until Samsung logo appears and disappears as normal, then release all buttons.
5) You are prompted with Odin mode warning
6) Press Vol Up as you normally would.
Just wanted to put this out there so those of you with the cases that bury your battery may like to know you don't have to tear your case down every time

The phone seems to be woking but I can't see the display....... I think I can get into bootloader mode and press power because about 2 minutes later the notification lighting comes on and the phone makes the beep-beep-bee!
They say not to panic... BUT IM PANICING. Please Help Me And My Spelling
1. Plug it into the charger
2. Hold the VOL DOWN key
3. While still holding the VOL DOWN key, press and hold the POWER key
4. Hold both keys down for over 120 seconds. This is more than two minutes and will seem like a long time. You might want to time yourself to make sure you hold it longer than two minutes.
5. After holding the keys down for more than two minutes, release them.
6. The Flash Boot screen will display, and the Normal Reboot option will be highlighted
7. Press the VOL UP key and the device will start a normal reboot.
If you have tried the above and it didn't work, try this:
Plug in the phone for 15 minutes.
Proceed to Step 2 above.
Did this happen without warning? Were you running stock or custom ROM?

Turning on S10e with power button broken?

Hello,
as stated, i got my power button broken probably due to water (not that waterproof huh?). The power button has worked for a few weeks, sometimes it was really sloppy and unresponsive, and stopped completely, and when my battery completely depleted i am now unable to power it on. I am able to get into download mode from where there is an option to restart the phone but of course it requires to press vol down + power button.
Have you got any magic tricks to turn on a turned off s10e with the power button broken ?
Hello! The solution: press volume down + bixby button and now plug usb c data cable (computer->phone), wait 3-5 seconds and phone starting in download mode. From download mode you can restart the phone with volume down button.

On ulefone armor 9 boot modes

First of all power down the device, then you have two posibilities:
push volume up + power until the device boots up, this will boot you into a chinese recovery, where volume down serves to move between items, volume up to go back and the power button to select. The last entry serves to reboot and the eMMC one to factory reset. you can see this menu here.
push power for 3 seconds and wait for the screen to power up, then push power until the screen goes off, then push volume up ONLY until the device boots up again, here you will receive a menu where you can choose between normal boot, recovery (which shows up the typical android recovery) or fastboot, (which is not userspace)
