Nah, uses ours.
It's not that easy to do everything from scratch.
Also, a reason why bau and me kept sources private (released kernel on day 1 since GPL ) for such a time to have everything stable before we release the device sources since we knew when we release 'em peeps might build different roms and none would actually focus on improving/ fixing bugs on device sources/trees
Also, maintainer should point out the device sources they are using, and respect the work done by others.
I don't see the modifications done by the maintainer anywhere. Nor these sources are published to PE-Devices org

Somewhat, unless the maintainer knows to keep the things balanced in device side like qcom boost, perf and all that stuff that CAF has optimized.
At the end of the day it's pretty much the same.

That is irresponsible of the maintainer then ,but I just hope that he didn't intentionally mean to not credit you.
To OP- If we want our community to not turn up like other devices', please collaborate and give credits for everyone's hardwork.

I like te CM14 it's actually quite good but since I use camera a lot I find the issue of low mic sound important. Does this have the same issue?

Have you tried rr 5.8.0?
No, only Miui roms and CM14.
I quit using Miui roms due to camera focus and wi-fi hotspot issues

Since it's from same device tree, well, I'm pretty sure it has same issues.
For the camera, don't expect to get better quality than the MIUI one, since the driver is proprietary, owned by Xiaomi. If you want best quality, there's no other way than using MIUI.
For the low mic sound, perhaps CM12 doesn't have that issue.
This thread doesn't make any sense.. . A new thread for just a renamed (rebranded) os?..

Maybe you should start a nightly build till the official one comes out, just like the nexus5 threads.
I am sure most users will be flashing this build.
Hmmm ...... It seems the device is heating up quite a bit when charging. Is it because of the quick charge ?

Check if the device is always awake in this ROM? If so then that is the reason why it heats up a lot.

Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, Search, Search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

About Us:Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!Flashing Instructions:-Verify that you're using the latest version of TWRP
- Perform a FULL WIPE as described below
(A full wipe is when you wipe system/data/cache)-Flash the latest version of this ROM
- Flash recommended GAPPS linked below
- Reboot and ENJOY!![**If you fail to follow these instructions, please don't bother reporting any bugs**
**If you use Xposed, please don't bother reporting any bugs**
**If you use another kernel, please don't bother reporting any bugs**Credit and Thanks:We would like to give thanks to everyone that contributes to the Android community, big or small because every bit counts. Although we can't list each and every contributor within the Android community, we would like to highlight some of the teams and individuals that have made it possible NOT only with just this version of DU but throughout the years because we don't ever want to forget where we came from nor those that have helped us!

How to report a bug:
Requirements:
The system data must be totally untouched. No Dolby Atmos/Viper Sound thing/Xposed Installations allowed.
Kernel must be the one that's shipped with build. Bug reports on any custom kernel won't be entertained.
Data needed in the report:
Unofficial build which broke something
Last known good unofficial build which doesn't have the said bug.
Logs attached: dmesg, radio log, logcat, screenshot if visual artifact.
Best way to replicate the said bug
Bug type: Only device bugs will be considered.
DON'T EVER REPORT SAME THING AGAIN

One of the best Oreo ROM. Everything working fine except stock camera not working ( Use any other camera app ) and no offline charge animation.
@shaikh lukman, there's problem in themes... themes works fine... but when i install apps, its automatically switched to light ui... and after installing backs to dark ui... many customisations... need more hardware mappings.. i found very less in this section... BB and performance is very good enough, i must say... just hope the cam and these theming and remapping issues and requests are solved in next one...
