Hi,
I can't update to 4.4.2, because "TelephonyProvider.apk" has unexpected data. I'm not aware of any changes I did to it. Where can I download the 4.4.1 version? I found something here*, but it'll still not update to 4.4.2. Is there any other possibility of fixing this issue?
I use the Xposed Framework and AdAway, but deactivated both of them, rebooted and wiped the cache before trying to update.
Here is the whole message:
Code:
Installing: /sdcard/0/airdroid/upload/KitKat4.4.2.zip

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Despite backing up TelephonyProvider.apk and TelephonyProvider.odex I can't use my N5 as a phone any more. The error message "Unfortunately, Phone has stopped." pops up every second or so. The only reason to avoid is is to enable Airplane mode. I copied the original files to /system/app using Root Browser, but it seems not to be recognized as installed. I can click on it and choose "Install". Anyways, after verifying the permissions it gets, there's a simple "App not installed." Sorry for being such a noob
I found it in this post. Now everything works just fine again
First of all hi guys....
I have a xperia mini 4.0.4 rooted whit xposed app..
I have many modules for it too
It was working fine until then i updated xposed from 2.4.1 to 2.5
It said xposed module not active...so i rebooted my phone...but it said it still so i tried to install/update it from the main app(i downloaded the update from in of it too)but it errors...
I tried all modes(classic...recovery auto...recovery mamual)but all of them faults...
This is the error message it shows me when i try classic mode..other modes are similar to this:
Copying xposed-disabler-recovery.zip...
Mountimg/system writable...
Segment fault
Could not mount/system writable
Trying to continue anyway...
Backup already exists at/system/bin/app_process...
Copying app_process...
Segmemt fault
Could not copy app_process to/system/bin
I dont know why this happening...it started when i updated...
I have stock rom and kernel
I only could update the xposed_bridge.jar throgh the recovery mamual(third method) but i cant fully
Update it to bundled version...
Hopefully the modules still work...the changes will happen but this annoying message bothers me...
How can i fix this???any idea whats happening guyz?
A segfault on the recovery means that the recovery partition / software is faulty. I recommend reflashing the kernel, just like you did to get the recovery partition.
In several threads - and on other sites as well - people complain about this error. It occurs when installing / updating from playstore.
I could produce - and make disappear - this error by freezing / thawing the system app Package Access Helper (on a custom rom based on 4.2.2)
Hope this helps.
Resurrecting an old threads here, but I was thrown by this Play Store error 110. And I concur with the above poster, in that freezing PACKAGE ACCESS HELPER (via TiB) creates this error, whilst defrosting it, cures it. I hope this is of some help to somebody!!
I recently updated from 11S to COS 12. I had greenify installed and after I dirty flashed, the app is no longer installed. I tried installing it through play store and I get -505 error. Apk also doesnt work as installation failed. Any fixes for this??
hi guys ,
This is my first post in XDA. So please inform me if anything is wrong
I have a LENOVO s820 with android 4.4.2
This is the situation -
I rooted my phone. It worked perfectly fine .i installed many rooted apps and so on .i was into taking risk and i installed Xposed. Even it worked fine .Later ,i tried to update the busybox from busybox installer app from playstore. But then i by mistakely took advanced install .So i thought that would harm my device and i thought of uninstalling busybox and installing it again (just to make sure nothing happened after the advanced install) .They showed the warning message "its an advanced option , do you want to continue " , i didn't mind it and i pressed continue .Then i pressed install busybox (as i told earlier that i needed to reinstall busybox ). This was the time my phone did not work as expected .The busybox installer force closed everytime i opened. I installed many another busybox installer but none of them didn't work
Then to get things right , i did the following things-
1. I tried to unroot my phone (with Kingoroot) , it didnt work
2.I tried to unroot it with supersu , even it didn't work
3.After so many tries , to my luck , i unrooted my phone with supersu (i don't know how or why )
4.I tried to root it again , but never worked (i tried almost every option available in google).
5.Now as it wont root, i tried to use it as i used to use when i didn't know how to root. But when i installed SDmaid, it says " busybox error "
6.Then i knew there was something wrong with my phone .I googled and tried every method but none of them worked (this is my one last try ). I somehow used my phone till now. But day by day my phone is being worse .
(a)wifi connects to only some networks ,fortunately my home wifi is in whitelist (but when i go to guests house ,its like a virus to me
(b)i cant connect to vpn by any means
(c)the file manager wont copy ,paste , or delete files but fortunately third party apps work for this issue
(d)notification center force closes ,and i have to restart my phone
i hope someone has a way to fix my phone

Hi and thank you for using XDA Assist
My guess is that you completely messed up your device..
But my guess is that you absolutely need to flash back your stock ROM so i came up with this.
