Will it work on magic?
https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=labs_flashplayer10_android_signup
just signed up, I hope i will get confirmed and get the download information soon.
Edit: The beta release will be available later this year. If you would like to be notified when the beta is available, click the "Sign Up" button below.
So i think it might take a couple of months before we can get our hands on this beta.
Nevertheless, we'll get our hands on it first

What are the chances the MPX gets the N Preview?

I keep my hopes high but my expectations low. If we were still a Google company we would be the first on N. I have high doubts that we will get the beta but I could be 100% wrong.

It is highly unlikely that we will get the preview. Moto is owned by Lenovo now and it has been pathetic providing normal software update to the devices (forget the Developer previews). So dont keep your hopes high.

Not sure if you guys read the article, but the Sony Xperia Z3 is open to the preview.
"Unlike Google’s own devices, though, you won’t be able to enroll in the N preview online and then get the update over the air. Instead, you’ll have to download the preview and manually flash your device. After this, future updates will arrive over the air direct from Sony.
With this update, you can now install the Android N Developer Preview on the Z3, Nexus 6, 6X, 6P, Nexus Player, the Pixel C tablet, and the General Mobile 4G (Android One)."
I would love to see Motorola get on board with this, but I am not counting on it. Still waiting for 6.0.1 in the US after all...
Look how long is Motorola taking to release 6.0.1, a minor update. Forget developer previews, we'll be lucky if the full version of N gets to our phones by Christmas.

I agree with this 100%, the update to 6.0 was quick, but 6.0.1 dropped right around the time that 6.0 went public for MXPE and US users still haven't seen it. There has been an Asian release and a Euro release in very limited fashion. In addition to that OS update, the December and January Security updates were skipped, along with the April update. March Security patches are included in the 6.0.1 update that has been seen in other markets.

Isn't it possible to port it?
So I have a crazy question: if I can do a clean install (with zero issues!) of Ubuntu on my Lenovo Ideapad laptop meant for Win8, why can't someone take the base 6.0.1 code and "port" it to the XT1575? Even if that would leave the phone with some features "broken", let's see what those would be? Or how about at least " porting" the monthly Android security updates so we can flash them ourselves? Yes, updates can break things, but the patched security benefits probably outweigh that risk...

not saying it's easy, nor is it something I could do, but there are a lot of talented developers here and I am wondering if someone has tried to put "pure" Android right onto an XT1575 and how it performed (what worked, what didn't)...

You know, there's already 6.0.1 for the XT1575 (with March update, though), but it's based on the XT1572 firmware. It worked flawlessly on mine
Just noticed he was talking about 6.0.1 in a 7.0 thread.

I am not disappointed in performance, and camera is also good & also installed gcam. They also promised android Q. So, it is not that bad . Although, I was thinking of Oneplus next time because they are known for their software support.

Why's that? Just because of infrequent updates?

No, performance is fine. The camera is brilliant with the modded camera app. I find all the Xiaomi stuff littering the phone a nuisance although I have removed as much as I can without rooting. (I used to root every phone I owned but need flawless Google Pay - always - and don't want to play whack-a-mole with Google).
I resisted setting up a Xiaomi account - why would I have an account with a phone manufacturer? I'm not really a fan of Mui but with a Google Pixel Launcher it's good enough but I am finding the lack of proper notifications on email less than stellar. I like the Xi charging; OnePlus have never done this. Google's Nexus 4 - I think - did and I was hooked from then on.
There are two issues with Xiaomi really. The over riding issue is security. In my mind timely security updates are essential for any phone manufacturer wanting to be taken seriously. And the second is all the data collection that Xiaomi try to do on me; they seem me as a legitimate subject to data mine and advertise to; I'm not.
So I was hoping the Pixel 4 might finally get Google back on to the straight and narrow that the Nexus phones found. Alas no; it seems the Pixel 4 are stylisticly dead in the water with chin and forehead size bezels as gross as they are. So it looks as if I'll be returning to the OnePlus fold if they can master a through-the-screen camera and finger print scanner on the back where it should be.
I had been running a OnePlus since the the days of the One and went to 3, 5 and 6. I like OnePlus. Reasonable performance; regular updates and close to pure Android.
But liking a phone (why do we still call it a phone - its so much more?) liking a phone is very personal and your mileage will vary from mine.
Any new information about the new update?
New update pushed out. Dark mode now available in stable.
Full rom 10.3.2.0

Dark more available but themes don't work correctly when turned on.
Is there a full fastboot image available for the latest version?
1. Is android Q beta stable enough to use it every day?
2. Wil I lose my warranty after signing for beta?
3. Does Google Pay works on Q beta?
1. Absolutely
2. Absolutely NO
3. YES, of course
Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
1. Yes, my experience is okay.
2. Yes and no. I contact Google Support for this problem: if you are in beta program, if anything happens to your device unfortunately Google won't cover the warranty, unless you quit the Q beta and run official Pie version; or waiting for the official release of Q.
3. Yes, I used it everyday, it works perfectly.
FWIW I loaded Beta 6 a few weeks ago and have had no problems whatsoever (Pixel 3 XL). Q doesn't seem to be any kind of revolutionary update but does have a few nice features, notably better notification control and the ability to limit background location activity per app.

Wow, google is pretty lame to release a beta build and then deny a warranty. Seriously, a company denying warranty because you are using their product?
I somehow think they would give warranty even if you are on the beta. Might be the support person was confused.

pay attention, some (like me) in beta 6 has many problems, like all sensors not working (and no, it is not just me, see bugtracker, and yes, I fully clean installed beta 6 coming from P). I have a p3
if I were you, just to be sure I would wait the official release (they say it will be very soon, like beginning of september so why don't wait..)
my two cents
I just started the beta app and there is EMUI 10 beta project available for the Mate 20 X EVRL29 C432 (I think it's also avalible for other regions). You can sign up and then you have to wait for an invite to download the EMUI 10 beta update.
You can grab the beta app here.
https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/support/fut/
Some screens In the attached files from the beta app and project (sorry it's in Dutch).
EMUI 10.0 has arrived, with a completely original UX style that gives your device a fresh new look. The device comes with wonderful functions that are more than worth waiting for and that you will enjoy endlessly in your daily life.

They might be preventing updates and such for anyone in the USA. Bad faith on Huawei part. In all honesty I couldn't care less about 10 beta but security updates are important.
I have a hunch that once a USA sim card is used , something in the device gets changed that prevents updates.
Like I mentioned in one of my other posts , when I first booted up the mate 20X the first language selection was English UK. However, once I reset the device after using it with a T-Mobile USA sim card ( even removing sim ) and factory resetting it, the first option for language had changed to English , not English UK anymore.

Can confirm beta now available in the UK, just signed up. Wasn't there yesterday.
just signed up. I almost gave up on the beta program app, because i thought evr-l29 would never be able to join beta projects. but miracles do happen.
I am on evr-l29 UAE version 9.1.0.338 C185, was able to join beta program last week, then i never receive any HOTA... and idea?
Yeah I signed up this morning, still no sign of its. In beta app, it still says signed and I have to wait for staff to deal with it.
Am on AL00 in UK. No sign of beta.
it shows "login failed" for me.
I'm also on AL00 and I don't have any projects available to join in the app...
Hi there
I also have the EVR AL 00
I don't seem to have any update coming through either the betta app or any other method...
I asked on live chat this morning and they said all slots for Mate 20 series were taken. My question is why has the project only just showed up in the beta app and why were we allowed to sign it if true? I also still don't have the September security patch.

Coz Huawei are idiots , more so in respect of September security patches not being timely released. My brother in the UK only recently got his July security patch on his Honor 8X. Unlocked device, so nothing to do with the carrier holding it back.

Hmm here it says that that there are 4 participants from the 100. Project date ends on 4 november so i guess we get the beta update after that date.
Just pulled out an old UK T-Mobile sim card, cut it down to size and put it in the Mate 20X. Lo and behold beta is now available to me. But not the the Sept security patch [emoji1787] c432 here in the USA.
