If you guys haven't been able to update to the new version yet (which adds the AI ultra clarity mode on the camera) just download HiSuite on your PC and update. mines currently downloading the update on the PC while the settings on the handset show I'm "up to date"
sadly even HiSuite shows that my phone is on the latest official version

You will just set it up probably in 24h nougat will be there if not just call support and it will be available within a day
Try to force the update by going on system update -> clicking on the 3 dots in the upper right corner -> download latest update, if none is shown just check on hwmt firmware site what's the latest update avalaible for your build number and try to wait a day or two to control if the update is sent to you OTA.
I bought my son a second hand Mate 9 last February for his birthday and all is well, the phone works perfectly and he is delighted.
We were talking about software yesterday and when he might get the 9.0 pie update. It turns out he hasn't even got Oreo yet and his phone is still on 7.0 and is on February 2017 security patch!
When you search for update on the phone there is nothing, In Hicare there is nothing. I used Huawei Firmware Finder and can see a number of 8.0 updates and a couple are compatible with his phone. I have followed the app instruction method to download and install, but no joy. When I follow the process the last step is to go back to the phone settings and check for update but there is still nothing showing.
Can anyone help?

I used a force update with a modified hosts for Windows and modded hisuite, unfortunately I can't find the link anymore but it's here on xda somewhere.
The procedure is you download firmware Finder in your phone, find the latest firmware that is approved for your phone, then click update via erecovery, and the modded hisuite will see it and update your phone
hisuite now can update till 9.1
Hi, my mom has mate 8 and we want to hard-format and update it. HUAWEI NXT-L29 model number, L29C636B180 and emui 4.0 android 6.0 . I realized that its quite old but its not receiving any updates.
How can I update it to the latest official version ?
I tried firmware finder with auto dns but it gave an error (missing update files or sth like that). I realized that it was not the same size in app and in updater.
In app it says 2.5 GB but in downloader it was 1.36 GB even ı clicked download the latest full package thing.

I wanted to update the phone to Android 10, but seems like officially there is no such update for this model (MAR-LX1M EEA C431)
However, on FF, i spotted an update to the EMUI 10 but it's for the C432 despite the build model name it's the same I got (L21MEA). So my question is: It's possible to install it without any risk of brick? And also, Should I make a backup of the oeminfo?
Btw my phone it's full stock so no unlocked bootloader or root whatsoever

There is no Update thing in the support section oh myHuawei
Also even if I check Hisuite and the software update it says the phone is at the latest update (9.1.0.426)
