If the tablet is new and you still have the receipt my best advice is to try and take to the store and they will exchange it for you. other than that your only choice is to try and see if updating the drivers from Asus or even using another PC let's you gain access to Fastboot. Other than that the incompatible version of TWRP that you flashed most likely bricked your device.

ok, this worked! I have fastboot but adb shell does not work. The weirdest thing is when I press the green android icon in boot loader screetn the system boots normally!!!! but!!! when i do restart it always boots into the twrp screen. the only way to boot the system is with your command. I tried to flash the patched recovery which works with the new firmware (the flash is ok) but i cant pass the recovery screen. How can I get rid of this recovery????
Hi,
I recently installed the latest firmware 23.0.1.A.5.77 using Flashtool. Now, when I want to boot my D6603 into either fastboot or recovery it doesn't work and the phone just boots and works normally. I have tried both using the volume up/down button and through adb using:
adb reboot fastboot
and
adb reboot recovery
adb seems to work fine: it recognizes the device, but the boot commands don't work
I don't get the LED indicator and the short vibrating of the phone, it just shows the 'Sony Xperia' screen, then 'Powered by Android' and then it boots. The bootloader is unlocked, can anyone help me with this so I can get root back? Many thanks
EDIT: Never mind, I am an idiot . Apparently I uninstalled my device drivers from Windows so I had to re-install fastboot drivers from Sony. I flashed the kernel I wanted and all is well.
I've not rooted my device or used the ADB method but have the same issues trying to boot into recovery mode using power/volume.
I have done a factory reset in the past using buttons and it got rid of some bloatware (what's new in the home/Google Now swipe) but I can no longer boot to do a hard reset. My device was recently repaired by Sony (cracked back) and since its come back I've been unable to boot into recovery.
I believe the Z3 doesn't have a recovery by default. If you want one, you'll have to flash it yourself. This requires an unlocked bootloader.

Xperia phones do not have a recovery partition that is accessible to the user. It can only be entered when an official OTA is triggered and not by any key combinations or adb commands

Yeah, there's no real recovery partition but they DO have a FOTA partition that can be used to install a recovery as described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/development/recovery-z3-twrp-2-8-4-0-t3028846

Yes, but that installs a custom recovery which you can only do once you have root.
The FOTA partition is not accessible without root.
You can also install a custom recovery to the system partition once you have root, that is the main way it has been done on locked bootloader xperia phones since the X10 back in 2011...
But the fact remains there is no accessible stock recovery on xperia phones (with one exception, the Z3v has a very limited carrier recovery which allows users to clear cache, that's it)
I wasn't able to enter into recovery but to access flashboot mode just plug in the usb cable/charger into the phone and PC. Power off the phone, don't restarted it. power it on and hold the power + vol down key and you will see a message on the screen. while in this mode use the flashtool to flash any OTA firmwares.
Hello, I'm using HUAWEI Y300-0100, and I installed CM11 on it. The thing is I cant enter bootloader at all and I get often random reboots. Tried to enter bootloader via adb command, via apps that give that option, and button combination, still nothing. Is there a way to flash bootloader only, via recovery or adb perhaps? Thank you anyway!

Hi, when you enter command does it get stuck at the Huawei splash. If so this is the boot loader. I know it is strange but the boot loaders on these devices are very minimalistic and rely on ADB/Fastboot commands from the PC
No, it just does normal reboot. I think it is somehow connected with random phone rebooting.

Hi there..
In fastboot mode, are you seeing "Phone unlocked".. if so then your phone has been unlocked successfully...
Also i dont think you can boot into TWRP by pressing a combination of Power and volume buttons.. You will have use the ADB commands to get in to TWRP. If you are able to boot normally into the phone.. Use ADB commands to boot to recovery.. that will help you install Magisk or SuperSu to root your device
ADB command is - adb reboot recovery.. this will allow you to get into TWRP (if it is installed without any problems)
Hope it helps!
Hi there?
Actually i have tried the command {fastboot reboot recovery} it goes on the screen where I'm stuck right now. Adn my is working as it do but I'm just not able to go to recovery. I don't know what to and we all know without recovery i can't get root and i really need Root.
Thanks Help if u can
I'll be thankful to you

Is it the Openkirin's version of TWRP? Regular TWRP doesn't work too well on Honor 8.

Can u try posting the screenshot of Ur fastboot as well as the screen u land on when u run the fastboot reboot recovery
I'm trying to install lineage OS 16 on my Sony Xperia Tablet Z LTE, in order for it to be up to date and able to use modern apps. I'm really not that tech savvy, but this far I've managed to unlock the bootloader, root the device and I believe I've managed to flash the recovery drive with the TWRP file meant for my device. I tried to flash the recovery from my windows PC, but every time I received "Failed "remote command not allowed" despite the device being unlocked at the bootloader and it is an A partition. So instead I went ahead and rooted the device and afterward flashed the tablet from the official TWRP app. At the end of the flash, I got "Flash completed successfully" which leads me to believe that I've flashed it correctly.
Now the issue is that no matter what I try, I can't boot into recovery mode. Every time I try, it just boots up regularly. I've tried via ADB terminal, through the TWRP app, and physically with the power button+volume down button, but everytime I get the same result.
This has me wondering, could I just download the Lineage image to my device and flash it directly to the boot partition or would this not work? Also what could be the reason I can't boot into recovery mode?
Sorry if this is not the forum for this topic, i just can't imagine who else would be able to advise me on this

You said you tried volume down+power, on most devices, that is the combination to boot into bootloader mode, fastboot mode or download mode, depending on the device. Volume up+power is generally the combination to boot into recovery mode. This doesn't seem to be your issue though. Are you sure you flashed TWRP to the correct partition? If your device is an A/B partitioned device, you may have flashed to one of these partitions when you needed to flash to the other partition.
Try flashing a copy of your stock recovery then see if that repairs the recovery partition and allows stock recovery to boot. If it works correctly after flashing stock recovery, you may not be flashing TWRP correctly or the actual flash might be being blocked by something that you're overlooking. Are you certain that your bootloader is unlocked?
