Hello all,
This is my first time posting on this forum. After looking at a couple of Samsung Galaxy S6 reviews online I found something rather odd.
Some models of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have ON/OFF switch labels in the settings menu while some don't.
Is this a setting that can be enabled?
Did you find out on how to enable this?
Is there a way to make active/ambient display on S6 just like in the Moto X series which display a single clock and notifications every time a notification comes or you wave your hands close to it or take it out of the pocket?
As S6 habe that screen from the Clear View case, probably it should be easy to show the same screen in the active/ambient display ocasions.
The S6 has the option of waving your hands when it is laying flat to view your notifications.

AcDisplay is an app that mimics ambient display. Try that out.
Yeah, I know that the S6 has the option to wave your hands to show the screen, but it shows the full screen colored and everything, which would be bad battery-wise. Probably would be nice to just light up some pixels like the ambient display on Moto X as the S6 also have an AMOLED display.
I also know about AC Display, but it seems that adding it just adds another lockscreen in front of the default one and if you use it as your default lockscreen, it can't work with the fingerprint reader to unlock, is that correct?
It just doesn't seem too difficult to pop the same screen as the Clear View Case on waving the hands in front of the phone or when getting notifications. If it isn't possible to do it with the built-in software, they are missing a great opportunity here.
App to automatically adjust screen brightness for "None ambient light sensor" phone
I have made an app "Auto Brightness by PP" to do automatically adjust screen brightness depend on ambient light. I believe that it is the only one now that can do it without "Ambient light sensor hardware".
I make it for my Samsung Galaxy J7 (which do not has auto screen brightness function), to help me auto adjust screen brightness to bright up in the outdoor and to be dark in the night, helping me to easily unlock my screen with pin code.
It has been already proved that it work for other phone too such as Samsung J2,5,7, Duos, Grand, Sony Xperia, I-mobile, Huwaii etc...
Hope it can help you who got the same problem with me too.
Let try and support me if you like.
To find app please search for "Preeda" in google app store or "Auto Brightness by Preeda"

Why does that app needs to read my contacts? Suspicious.
I have just moved from a Galaxy s5 to the S8+ and can't seem to find the same screen rotation options as on the S5, I want the screen to rotate 270 degrees as when I am in the car I need the charging port to be on top to make it easier for charging. Has Samsung removed this option on the the S8+ ?
Hey ya'll,
Finally upgraded to the S8+ from an S7
Setting up as usual, and noticed the brightness is too high.
So I go to turn on Auto Brightness only to find-
There's no option for it.
No button, no check box in the context menu on the nav bar, no selection in Display settings, Accessibility, or Dev options.
What the heck?
I've already checked the forums here and went to Google- no answers.
The S8 seems to have an option for it- was it removed for BS reasons in the plus model?
Or is it hidden really well?
I seem to recall Samsung once hiding the Mobile Data button a few years ago on a previous model; dunno if it's the same thing this time around.
Screenshots added for proof.
