I have just moved from a Galaxy s5 to the S8+ and can't seem to find the same screen rotation options as on the S5, I want the screen to rotate 270 degrees as when I am in the car I need the charging port to be on top to make it easier for charging. Has Samsung removed this option on the the S8+ ?

Howdy all,
Unless I am missing something. Can the messages scroll in the same orientation like the clock at night. Example if you have cnn streaming the words run along the main screen. I would have liked it run away from the main screen if I have the edge laying flat on a table and looking straight at it. Hope I explained it well enough lol.
Yes, kinda
If screen rotation is on, you can check the box for 180 degree rotation in the edge panel settings. This will rotate the edge panel correctly with the phone.
Unfortunately, this doesn't work without auto rotation on, which I don't like.
I tried doing a global change down to 480, but the edge screen didn't like the change. I was hoping it would allow me to add more apps to it without requiring me to slide up and down.
I imagine there are settings somewhere that tell the edge screen how "tall" it should be. Anyone try this?
Try looking for it in app settings?
Touchwiz is crashing on me for some reason. What is the default dpi for our note edge?

640.
For now I am adjusting individual apps which is working well. Hopefully we can find a way to change the edge screen too.
I literally just posted this thread before I saw this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-edge/development/mod-build-prop-modifications-t2975681
I made changes in the build.prop file to switch around the dpi which affects the edge screen too. Unfortunately although after the change it looks like the edge screen could fit more onto each screen but the software doesn't allow it.
For example in the primary edge screen you can fit 7 rows of apps before it fills up. After dpi change it looks like you can fit 8 or 9 rows but touchwiz just still makes you scroll after 7 which I found was annoying.
I need nova launcher to come up with something for the edge so that I have full control over the edge panel
Also changing dpi seems to crash video mode and mess with the camera app...
Any fix for edge screen dpi
I always use night clock and it works fine til I got the flip case. The night clock becomes upside down during flip case closing. And it returns to normal if the flip is opened. Do you have the same issue and how can you fix it?
Thank you
I use the night clock also and don't have that issue. Do you have your phone set to left handed for the edge screen? Or try picking it up and tilt the edge screen downwards
Already tried everything including, left hand, screen rotation. And the night clock remain upside down
I've Flip Wallet and I do not have this problem either.
Why don't you turn off auto rotation and see if that works
Sorry not wrong on mine either but when scroll the edge screen it flips upside down.
Screen rotation is on, left hand is off.

I have same problem. I also notice that if my screen is off with flip wallet open then night clock is in normal position. When Flip wallet is closed night clock is up side down.
Auto rotation on/off not change anything.
One more thing I noticed some times night clock is together with alarm, sometimes is with my home time. When it is with my home time - home date is not always correct. Presently I'm 7 hours off my home time and night clock show present and home time with same date.
OK I found reason why there are two clocks - in lock screen/show information there is position "Dual Clock" it is responsible for show one or two clocks on edge as nigth clock.
But still problem with wrong date and up side down clock remain.
I send message to Samsung - answer - there will be patch for this
Lolipop solve problem
The Samsung Galaxy J8 is quite new and I was confused when it didn't have the ambient display option. This forces me to use a third party app to replicate it but I don't think it's quite as good as the native option would have been. What possible reason/s could Samsung have for not putting the Ambient Display option on the Samsung Galaxy J8?
Has anyone found a way to turn off the fingerprint location while the AoD is on? I don't want it sitting there, I know where it is and one more burn in thing to worry about as I am not sure it moves at all.
I don't think you can while keeping the AOD, but yes I can confirm it does move around a little to prevent burn-in
I left AOD as it was on my S10e. If I tap the screen AOD shows for 10 sec and I did enable EDGE lighting too
