Hey guys,
Is Android 8.0 FW anywhere out there?
If not, is there any trick to get it anyways? Because after I flash 7.1.1 via OST, when the phone asks me to install OTA, it directly goes to 8.1.
Thank you!

Hello,
I just received the notification that I can update to the new version of android from an OTA update.
1. Obviously fails when trying to go straight into TWRP and update
2. Cannot find the OTA file
3. Tried making my phone stock but the software is not replacing TWRP with the system recovery.
4. I have unlocked bootloader...
I'd love any help since I bought a Daydream in November thinking they'd release a Nougat update by December, now that it came out I am anxious and cannot even install it! :/

Hello,
I want to root it ,but if it is possible then to install a newer version of android first. I currently have 4.4.2 .
I saw SRKTool only work with 6.0 . kingroot hasn't work. I did unlooked the bootloader (afterwards).
So, if I saw correctly , there is no OTA update for the firmware, just full firmware to install , from here :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/general/huawei-mt7-l09-l10-stock-firmware-ota-t3275784
But any full firmware (6.0) would work , right?
And there is no TWRP 2.7.8.0 for my specific version, but generally for android 4.4.2 , there is . So, I am too afraid to install it right now.
Is it justified ?
There is also a tool that installs MT7_CWM_CN_EN for android 4.4.2 on this device (don't have a link) . should it work?
Thanks,
Eyal

Please clear first you want to upgrade or root..?
if You want to root then no need to upgrade Android to have root simply flash custom recovery eg: twrp for kitkat that's it when you flashed it before reboot it'll ask to install supersu you can also flash supersu by yourself just flash twrp recovery then flash supersu.zip
Twrp for kitkat
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ma...overy-twrp-2-8-6-0-mate7-android-4-4-t3136588
Need further help please ask...:good:
"Thanks. I got it myself, when I stopped worrying and installed twrp. No way to update without erasing my data, I see.

In which thread here did you found that SRK Tool for Android 6 devices? Currently I am on MT7-L09C432B571 and this update sucks.
Hello,
i updated to Oreo on my Honor 8, and i did a backup in HiSuite before.
Now i want to go back from Oreo to Android 7, did an recovery in HiSuite, and i am still in Oreo. So i think i just updates the data and not the Android verison.
How can i downgrade from Oreo back to Android 7 on my Honor 8?
I have no root or bootloader installed, everything is "untouched" on my phone.

You can use eRecovery... This time work and will flash you b407
I spent all day today trying to get back nougat or Oreo STOCK rom because I tried LOS beta 5 and cameras crash constantly. So if anyone can give me advice how to flash Oreo/nougat stock ROM. eRecovery only allows factory reset and reboot. Dload always comes back with error at around 5%... Is it possible to just flash stock system.IMG or something via fastboot?...

eRecovery, not the normal one. In eRecovery you can set your WiFi and download b407
Does anyone know how to downgrade from oreo?
Connect the phone to pc and in HiSuite look for updates. There will be an option to go back to B407. I didn't test it. Just saw the option was there.
hello everyone,
i have S8+ with android 7 installed, not rooted and still didnt get any OTA for either oreo or Pie, so i decided to do it manually but i wanna make sure of the steps since it's been a while for me not flashing anything.
first thing i should know is that this update is going to wipe my phone due to the bootloader update
and about that bootloader update, should i flash pie bootloader first or just flash a stock ROM with odin that includes bootloader file ?
any help with this issue is much appreciated

If you are going to update with Odin flash full firmware. ( 4 files )
As for wiping your phone when you unzip the downloaded firmware there will be 2 CSC files.
CSC - Clean install will wipe your data ( same as factory reset )
Home CSC - Dirty install should keep your data
Always do a backup before doing anything.
Note: Make sure after you upgrade your firmware to update your apps so that they will be comparable with new firmware.
I am on Android V 9.0 /OOS 9.0.2. I am wanting to flash /e/ and it seems I need to be on the recent Android version as the instructions say "please ensure that the device is on the latest Android Stock firmware same as the version of the /e/OS you are planning to install."
When I run System update it says my updates are current. How do I update Android to a current version?
I am a user so please keep things as simle and as non-tech as possible. Thanks

just in case someone is in the same situation as you, you just need to update to OOS 9.0.9, you can do that by downloading the update package and installing it through local update option, once you are on that specific version you'll get an update notification for 11.1.2.2
Is there any way to update oos 10 to 11 only on slot A? As i understand when i am updating with the stock update app it switches slots after the update, but i have Windows 11 installed on the slot B
