Hi All,
Has anyone gotten TTS on Official JB leak working?
The PicoTTS service "has stopped" when I try to use it. I tried the other Google TTS services and free ones from the market, but none of them work. Has anyone successfully gotten any of these working on the JB leak?
Thanks
Fixed by re-installing gapps for JB 4.1.2. TTS now works (issue was missing system/lib/libpatts.. file, which the gapps package provides.
could you please share the link for gapps?

I'm really sorry for being noob, but how to flash the gapp?
I'm really sorry for being noob, but how to flash the gapp?
I did tried by
1) Fastboot mode, then RSD --> not success
2) Recovery Mode, then flash .zip from SD --> package not signed
3) unzip the gapps file itself and manually copy the file to system/lib/libpatts.. by using Root Explorer (then set permission to the same as all files in that folder) --> TTS still not work.
Thank you!

What recovery are you using? The stock Motorola recovery won't flash gapps, you'll need to install a custom recovery like Boot Menu Manager or the Atrix2 boot strap.
Brought to you by time and relative dimensions in space.
Wow, this is fabulous...

Hi Guys,
after every clean flash i'm doing some 'cleanings' to use even more juice from our phones.
So...
Let's start. I'm not author of those tweak. I just 'adjust' them for LoS 13 working on 'markw'. All credits go to authors.
1) Cleaning: Phronesis_Debloater_v3.zip - 2.2 MB
- flash via twrp or run from adb/terminal with root privilages
It will clean every mention app from spoiler! It's SAFE to do it.
http://pasted.co/4bba256f
2) Apps better/faster/cleaner that previously deleted:
Better camera app [twrp]: Fix-HTCCamera.zip - 30.7 MB
Faster keyboard:
[twrp] -Xperia_Keyboard_7.1.A.0.28_for_6+.zip - 9.8 MB
or
[apk] - Xperia_keyboard_v.8.0.A.0.50.apk - 9.6 MB
Open source calendar: ws.xsoh.etar_11.apk - 3.4 MB
3) Root [twrp]: SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip - 5.6 MB
4) ADBLOCKER: [twrp] MoaAB_ADBlocking_10202016_R1.zip - 1.1 MB
5) Xposed: [twrp] xposed-v87-sdk23-arm64.zip - 7.8 MB
[apk] XposedInstaller_3.1.1.apk - 2.8 MB
Backup is recommended before doing those things. Enjoy.
Replacement apps:
Thanks! it's really usefull, especially the debloater. Usually i'm using titanium backup as my system removing app. Great timesaver.

Have you ever use opengapps removal configuration? I always use that, it's so simple we can add/remove items as needed since it only edit the gapps-config.txt
Here are some references, it supposed to work on opengapps no matter which rom it use:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-1s/general/free-opengapps-t3504217
https://github.com/opengapps/opengapps/wiki/Advanced-Features-and-Options
PS: Place gapps-config.txt in the same place with your opengapps file

Thanks for info, but i'm not using gapps so it's useless for me.
Didn't work for me. I do clean flash ROM + Flash Gapps and then flash phronesis and then reboot. After bootup, I'm stuck because the keyboard didn't shown (maybe removed?). So I can't login google account or instal new keyboard.
I did try another method : flashing ROM + Gapps, reboot. After setup (and instal alternative keyboard) then reboot to recovery and flash phronesis > reboot. Google play service FC and when I check my app list (app drawer), nothing changed
PS: I use LOS 03/26

Debloater Zip
This is my first MOD.
I just made a zip for my own use and I'm sharing it here.
I personally don't like the system apps which come with LineageOS and LineageOS based ROMs. We all flash GApps and then end up having double apps like Calendar (Google Calendar and Stock LineageOS Calendar). This consumes more space in your "/system" partition.
I tend to remove these apps and use the ones provided by Google instead in "/data" partition. This saves space in "/system" and also doesn't allow to have double apps.
Hence I made a Debloater zip, I know there are various zips out there which can help you debloat your ROM, but they also come with installing something or other.
This zip is a pure Debloater zip. It will just remove the apps which are not used by many in general.
Code:
[SIZE="2"]The list of apps which I have removed from "/system/app" & "/system/priv-app" are
[LIST]Calendar[/LIST]
[LIST]CMFileManager[/LIST]
[LIST]Email[/LIST]
[LIST]Exchange2[/LIST]
[LIST]ExactCalculator[/LIST]
[LIST]Jelly[/LIST]
[LIST]PicoTts[/LIST]
[LIST]Launcher3[/LIST]
[LIST]Trebuchet[/LIST]
[LIST]Gallery2[/LIST][/SIZE]
If you guys want any particular app to be removed apart from these, I can make a separate zip file for you personally.
Don't forget to hit the Thanks button if you like my work.
Changelogs
V 1.0 Removes Everything listed above
V 1.0 Doesn't remove CMFileManager
V 1.2 Doesn't remove Launcher3 and Trebuchet
V 1.3 Removes DocumentsUI too

Your welcome. Thanks for the gapps-config file, I'll look into this later on. Seems nice.
Edit: The config file is nice, but that's too much work to do, If anyone personally wants it, it can be done. I've made that same process easy by making this zip.
Code:
delete_recursive("/system/app/Email");
delete_recursive("/system/app/Exchange2");
delete_recursive("/system/app/Calendar");
delete_recursive("/system/app/Jelly");
delete_recursive("/system/app/Camera2");
delete_recursive("/system/app/CMFileManager");
delete_recursive("/system/app/messaging");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/Launcher3");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/Trebuchet");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/DocumentsUI");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/Snap");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/OmniSwitch");
I use this code to remove all the bloatware while flashing the ROM zip
Removes most the things (can be used for other LOS and AOSP based ROMs too)

I would recommend you to do a clean install once again.
Also I have not been using OP2 since a while now hence I am unaware about the recent developments in the ROMs, so it might have been because of some changes from the ROM side too.
Hi, I'm running LineageOS 14.1-20170925-NIGHTLY-bacon on a OnePlus One with 3GB/64GB. I connected the OPO to my PC (running Windows 10) with a USB cable. By mistake I copied some picture and video files to the Download folder using the PTP transfer option.
Afterwards, I noticed that the Downloads icon/app (blue circle with white down arrow and line) disappeared from the app drawer.
I have tried several things, but I cannot get the downloads icon/app to reappear in the app drawer:
* deleted the files copied.
* rebooted the phone
* disabled and enabled Download Manager (60KB) v7.1.2 and Downloads (8 KB) v7.1.2
* Reinstalled the LineageOS 14.1 update (from the updater, which ran TWRP recovery)
In Settings/Apps, I can set the "show system apps" and see Download Manager v7.1.2 and Downloads v7.1.2. I can access the download folder (and the files inside that folder) through the "Files" app or with a file manager (like Total Commander or OI File Manager).
However, I did find the Downloads icon/app convenient and would like to bring it back. Any suggestions on how to fix restore the Downloads icon/app? Thanks for your help!

Factory reset.
Thanks for the responses. Being a newbie, I have a follow-up question.
To try if a factory reset fixes the problem, do I go to settings/backup & reset/factory data reset and select reset phone?
Or do I have to copy lineage and gapps to the phone with adb, wipe the phone with twrp, and then reinstall lineage and gapps with twrp?
Your help is much appreciated.

A clean flash definitely would.
I tried a clean flash of Lineage, but the Downloads app/icon is still missing.
The steps I followed were:
* Copied lineage-14.1-20171002 and gapps-7.1-nano-20171007 to the OPO
* Entered recovery mode (TWRP 3.1.1 was already installed); and wiped cache, system, data and dalvik
* Flashed lineage and wiped dalvik & cache
* Flashed gapps and wiped dalvik & cache
* Rebooted system
Unfortunately, the Downloads app/icon is still missing.
Did the Lineage nightlies recently remove the Download app?
Some Android OS's are removing the downloads app from the app drawer. For example, OxygenOS 4.5.11 removed the downloads app from the app drawer, and users now have to use the Files icon to access the downloads.
Did Lineage remove the Download app and leave just the Files app? I may just have to live without this Download icon. Maybe this is just the new world order?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey dalbergia, did you ever solve this issue?
I'm experiencing the same problem on my Mi Mix running Lineage 14.1
Good morning to all,
I think I posted this thread in the wrong place and I'm sorry for this, so I post it here now.
I flashed my SM-P905 with Lineage 15.1 using TWRP 2.8.7.0.
I have installed the correct OS (viennaltexx) and the correct gapps (arm 8.1 super) but I was having an issue with Google Play Services that was continuously stopping and this didn't allow me to set the google account and to get access to all the play services, so I decided to retry to flash the OS and gapps, I wiped everything but the sd card, but now when I try to flash the OS it stops on "no md5 file found" (no error 7) and it goes back to the TWRP home.
Now I've installed the 14.1 Lineage OS (again wiping everything but the sd card) and it is very stable and fast and gives only 1 problem:
- the fact that I can't install the SuperSU and it causes the CM S Pen app fail to work, because lacking of root access. When I flash the file (file name "addonsu-14.1-arm-signed") everything goes well, but when I reboot the system the SuperSU app is missing. I activated the access for APP and ADB in the developer options but it still doesn't work;
This system would be completely satisfying with S Pen functions.
But I would try to install Oreo just beacause I would like to try the porting created by Alexis, with the Note 9 apps.
Can someone please help me? Thank you very much!

Try upgrading your TWRP to a newer version (3.1.1 seems to be popular version) and flash everything again. 2.8.7 is a very old version for TWRP, and might not handle the 15.1 stuff well.

Hi rhricik, thank you very much for your response.
I tryed to find the .tar file to install it with Odin, but I failed, I only find the IMG files. Do you know how to install the newer version using the IMG file and the TWRP app in Android (if it is possible ti do) or do you have a link to a .tar file?
I tryed to flash the image with the recovery, but when I go to the download folder i tap on "images" but I can't see the file. I can see it in the archive, but not in recovery mode.
Thank you again!

I found only the TWRP 3.0.2 as the latest version for Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. I converted the img file to .tar and it worked, but when I go to instal the OS it still stops on md5 file not found.
Is it safe to use a TWRP 3.2.2 for another device?
Otherwise I could try to flaash the system using Odin. Is it possible?

Hi bemanet, thank you very much! The 3.2.2 version of TWRP is successfully installed.
At least now I know what the problem is.
When I flash the system I obtain this response now:

So maybe there must be some problem with the file structure.
Anyway thank you very much for your help.

Thank you very much!
Meanwhile, do you know why I find impossible on Lineage 14.1 to install a different keyboard? I tried to install the Samsung keyboard and another different keyboard with CTRL and arrows keys (both installations went good) but both times when I went to select the keyboard It gave me only the gboard.
Plus, when I try to open the gboard settings the app crashes, so I would like to change it.
