Help me!!! Everything has become 3 times it size and nothing can be done.. - General Questions and Answers

Help me!!! I wanted to play PUBG on my Samsung Core Prime SM-G360H. So I rooted it and then changed the build.prop to that of Samsung S7. I rebooted the phone and was shocked to see that everything became 3-4 times its size and I was not able to acess anything. I panicked and formatted my phone as I thought it would restore everything but nothing happened and everything messed up. Please suggest some solution. I dont have custom recovery as well. I dont care about the data but I want that it would be ok again. Please Help me..?????. I rooted my phone with my PC.

No, it has nothing to do with you being a junior member. The problem is that you didn't pay attention to what you read in my post.
The LGL84VL and Tapatalk is the signature that shows beneath every post that I make, it is like this because I use the Tapatalk app to view this forum and make replies, that is not the part that you need to know and has nothing to do with your issue.
I'll say again..
DO A GOOGLESEARCH FOR:
"RETURN TO STOCK (YOUR MODEL NUMBER)"
Do a search with what I posted in the line above this sentence, use the specific model number of your device when you do the search, it should find the instructions, the firmware file that you need and the tools to flash the firmware file to repair your device.

How to find code name of device? And compatibility question.

How do you find the code name of your device? Ex. d2att for the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Also, I think (tell me if I'm wrong) that the phones I'm looking at from Wind Mobile work with T-Mobile phones. If this is true, does that mean a ROM in the T-Mobile forum that doesn't list the exact model number of the Wind Mobile phone (ex. if it listed SM-G920T but didn't list SM-G920W8) will still work with that ROM?

unfortunately i cant answer that, but i can comment on it.
there are a small amount of phones that you can flash a rom that wasnt specifically made for it, but if you cant find proof before trying, there is a real risk of permanent brick if your wrong.
take the g3 for instance (only because i know about this device),
you can take a vzw g3 and use it on tmo, but you can not flash a tmo rom on it because it is a vzw phone.
if your just talking about a rom, and not actual stock firmware, the risk of issues is still there, but generally, more likely fixable because its not flashing key partitions that could render your device unfixable.
i am in no way suggesting you try it, only because if it bricks the phone i dont want to be responsible, but if it were me, and i had a backup to restore the phone, and stock files to flash if need be, i would try it. but you would have to be in a position to buy a new phone if things go terribly wrong. if not, then i wouldnt do it.

I'm not sure if we have the same understanding. I mean just like how the Bell Samsung Galaxy S3 can flash AT&T ROMs, I'm wondering if that would be the same for Wind Mobile flashing T-Mobile ROMs even if the model number is not exactly the same (ex. flashing a SM-G920T ROM on a SM-G920W8).
And yeah, I'm talking about flashing an AOSP ROM rather than stock firmware ROM (TouchWiz, Sense, Etc).

maybe you will get some help if you ask in the specific device forum q&a of the devices you need info about. usually thats the best place to ask questions if the device specific forums exist for your models.

yea go for it. maybe stagger your post a bit though. dont throw them all in at once.
Canadian here. All T-Mobile ROMs will work on our Canadian owned S6s. Sometimes an extra custom kernel needs to be flashed, but they will work.
Also, try going to download.cyanogenmod.com to search for your device, then you will see the codename at the end of all nightly zip filenames.
Good luck.

S7 No IMEI Unknown Baseband Version Unknown

Hi,
Bought an international Exynos S7 G930F from Ebay for use with ATT in the US. Rooted, flashed a few roms, then decided to transfer my SIM from my Note 5 to the S7. When I put the ATT sim in, the S7 did not recognize that the sim had been placed in. Even when there is no SIM, my Note 5 still shows a cellular connection and just says EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY. On the S7 I just have a NO SERVICE.
IMEI and IMEISV both read Unknown.
Baseband Version is Unknown.
I've tried flashing stock roms with Odin multiple times, no luck. I even tried using Kies to recover, it asked me for my device model number and serial number, put S7 into download mode, flashed rom and still no IMEI or Baseband. Tried multiple modems also, still no luck.
Any idea what the problem is or how I can fix this?
Thanks for any suggestions!
Hey bud. I have a SM-G930F as well with the same problem. You most likely bought it with a corrupt efs. I'll keep you in touch if I find a solution.

[Completed] Tecno Droidpad 7c pro root

Good Evening ,,
I Lately Bought tecno droidpad 7c pro and i tried to root it using one click root apps like kingroot , kingo root , iroot and more else
but it failed ..
is there any another method to root even manually ?????!!!!!!!!!!
thanks everybody in advance
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
Do a Google search for:
"How to root (your model number)"
If you don't get any result with that then there is no "known" rooting method for your device.
I did that and the answer was always using kingrootand it doesn't work thanks for your response and I hope that maybe someone else may answer

Is your stock firmware version a different one than kingroot is supposed to work on? Firmwares being different changes things sometimes and prevents rooting methods that used to work.
Have you tried the PC version of kingroot?

Well then, there is no advice to give you other than try every PC rooting tool and every android rooting app you can find.
I don't know why you came here after trying all of those and getting no results. If every tool you can find didn't work then what did you think you would find here? Those are all the same things we all use. There is no extra hidden stuff here.
Try downgrading your android version to a version that has a known rooting method.

Thaanks for your concern, I thought you might have a way to manually root it...

That would mean that there is a known rooting method for that device, if that were the case, it would be documented somewhere and a search would have revealed it.
When it comes to android devices, the model number is the key.
If you want root you search for
"How to root (model number)"
If you want custom recovery you search for
"Custom recovery for (model number)"
If you want ROMs you search for
"ROMs for (model number)"
If you need the stock firmware you search for
"Stock firmware (model number)"
If searches like that don't give any immediate results then the thing being searched for usually doesn't exist.

No, not yet. And when i start up the phone, and all it does is show a black screen with a samsung logo and stays that way.
Try entering recovery (Vol up+Home+Power), see if it says there on the bottom something like DM Verity failed.
If it does and the phone was rooted before (Knox something else than 00 in DL mode), just flash CF autoroot for your model, or some other kernel for your model, you can find it here or google it.
If it does and phone is stock (Knox 00), I would try Authorised Samsung repair shop, and ask them to fix it in warranty.
Thank you I have recently fix my phone. Thanks for everyone's help.

Download this file it's kinda big because it's a stock firmware. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AtUOJHO1Ks7cgTeMnlD2_XOPr1xT and there should be 4 files in it and you put these files into Odin. And in the beginning of the file names should be like AP,BL,CP and CSC. Once you put the right files in the right place click start and it should fix the problem.

You don't know about N971N variants, do you? I DID SAW EVERY LISTS AND THEY ARE NOT SUPPORTED IN NORMAL WAYS! Why would I even bother asking then?????? They have Twrp but no exact workarounds for rooting it. The Base Note 10's 5g version is almost Impossible to root in a way (as I tried and used all ways in my knowledge). And About flashing, I did said it didn't helped, so it means it didn't! Like, the Volatile memory of my Note 10 5g(which is usually not affected by flashing) is corrupted due to wrong file flashings. Now The issue is, there is no network. Even flashing original roms numerous times doesn't help. Rooting via TWRP is also baseless, since even after multiple tries of rooting it by flashing SuperSu or Magisk modded Roms. It just doesn't work.

You don't talk to people like this,
Anyways I'll excuse your English since I myself is not English
1st of all I have two Samsung's note 8 n950n (Korea) and note 10 5g n971n also Korea
I have lineageOS installed on my n10 (no network) as I only use it for gaming
I have reflashed stock ROM for my device many times as a developer asked me to test ROMs for N971N (as we speak)
I understand your frustration, but this is xda if you don't explain your problems well nobody will help you (and need I remind you that every ROM(s) out there for the note ten variant did not mention N971N)

Man, I really dont speak English perfectly and am frustrated! Cz you know , this N971N is such a mess. It's exynos version is so messed up and hard to root or fix. Oh btw, your one's a exynos version or sd one? Cz that might have a influence too.
Yes I also flashed lineage OS on my Note 10 had it rooted afterwards, but which didn't worked (nothing works, like, it does says its rooted but doesn't works). But after flashing Lineage OS, i saw I have no internet, and I thought maybe its my phone's problem (which, you say isn't as you have the same issue after flashing....****) so I flashed a EFS file thinking Lineage OS might have jacked my EFS (which was totally unprofessional of me) I really was so disappointed afterwards.
No no wait, I know if I don't get help from XDA then I would not be able to get help and I also know that all other roms out there didn't included d1x or N971N as their supported device! Thats exactly why I was just saying that when you asked?
Im sorry man, I didn't wanted to be rude.... actually Im Searching here and there for a long time. Shabi_Shaw and I had a talk and I also said him too. I've been on this for 1 year and I am really in need of a way to fix my phone. The only reason I need to root my note is access the EFS folder and edit it back to normal.
Wish all these mess never happened. I mean, how the hell I thought back then that rooting can Increase N971N's battery life when it's capacity's already less
