Gear S2 Clock Face Request

I believe I've looked almost everywhere, and after a couple hours looking I give up and decided to ask:
On my GEAR S I have a clock face with the basics: Time in big bold numbers a the top, followed below in smaller fonts: Notifications count, Calendar (or agenda, whatever) count and weather.
It also has a short description of what's coming up for me: Next meeting (for instance: (Staff meeting 0800-1200))
I'm a Safety Manager (OSHA, on military installations) and that's all I need to get through the day. I just bought this S2 and LOVE IT, but I can't seem to locate a clock face that tells me everything I need at a glance.
Ideas?

Right now this is impossible to accomplish with the gear watch designer. Maybe in a future update, it can be done. But as for now, the options just aren't available without making a whole stand alone program to run on the phone so you can display weather and all the various notifications.

they only OPEN apps. you cannot display weather, notifications, etc.

Thank you. A veritable Gold Mine of watch faces. With that being said I searched through all 11 pages and did not find a single watch face that displays the weather or notifications or otherwise on the home face.
Please believe me when I say I am not trying to be argumentative. I am just dying (figuratively) to learn how to incorporate these complications directly on the watch face instead of tapping to open the Weather or notification app. The complications in GWD are really limited.

Its coming very soon I have direct contact with Samsung UI designer , so you will see my faces with these type of requests coming soon, sorry we cant do this sooner there is of course the SDK coded versions on the store until then.

How to add Stock Market on S7 Edge panel?

I noticed in reviews of the S7 Edge you have the ability to add stocks (Yahoo Finance) on the side screen, but I do not have that option available on my Edge nor can download it. Probably because that is a European version... :silly:
Is there anyway I can download that Yahoo Finance for Edge panel another way?

Settings/Edge screen and tap on edge feeds and tick Yahoo finance and check to see if enabled and come back and tap on edge panels and tick yahoo finance .
Now come to the home screen and access the edge panel to configure yahoo finance. Note: if you want to configure the panel check the panel setting below

I told you to follow the instructions and you didn't. I'm using European model as well. Just follow the instructions and select as from my attached thumbnail.

Appreciate your time and effort trying to help me, but again that Yahoo Finance tab is not available. I have several tabs there, and also few mmore that can be downloaded for free, but no Yahoo Finance. It looks like I may have made the wrong assumption when saying European version since I am located in France.
If you wish I can join some screen captures if needed to show you all the tabs I have (CNN, Data Usage, Apps favorites, tasks, contacts,tools, internet, S planner, weather, twitter, etc...) but no Yahoo Finance.
So my question is from where can I get it? It is not available/listed in the ones you can dowload nor on Play Store.

I've given you step by step on the link to achieve that. You don't have to download anything just follow the steps and instructions no downloading needed.

Really apprecaited but again the content is not the same on our S7. We do not have the exact same list so there is nowhere Yahoo Finance available. I have provided you with a list of all the panels we have on the S7 in France.

I don't know what you're talking about but I'm using the latest Germany Stock ROM so I bet they are all the same. You have to take your time and follow my steps and you'll see the red circle on my pictures it's in there, from Edge Screen you'll not see exactly yahoo finance but yahoo

unfortunately looks like the ROM is different per country. As you can see on the screen captures here below, I do not have the exact same as yours, at least no Yahoo at all. I would imagine that Yahoo might have not mmet Data Privacy strong rules for any reason... :silly:
That said, do you see a way to download the require file or copy it from your phone (don't know where those edge panels are located...)?

I have also found on XDA that some people seems to believe that the default content of the edge panel might be in System\Priv-app\CoktailBarService folder... might be another couple of files to compare

I had a quick look and it looks like that APK and data file (.odex) for the side panels I have are located under System/Priv-app/. Do you mind to have a look to your device and see if by any chance you have something like 'YahooEdgePanel'? It would be tremendous if you can upload the content of that folder somewhere! Should be 2 small files (1 apk and 1 odex).

I'm not rooted so unfortunately I can't check for you but according to your screenshots its from the Edge panel instead of Edge feeds

Galaxy s7 930F - Received group messages are split into individual threads

I have the Galaxy S7, 930F international version (Brand new). All works well, except the Messages app splits received group messages into individual threads. I have tried other texting apps and, for one reason or another, concluded that (for me) the stock Messages app would be best for me, if only this one flaw was corrected. Read a lot of threads similar to this but many seemed to address it for USA version. I'd like to maybe update the app, but can't seem to find a way to manually update this particular app (I can manually update nearly all of my stock apps, but this one is not allowed). Anyone have (what seems like) an easy fix. Again, my phone is the 930F international. Country info on the phone references United Arab Emeriates, if that helps. Otherwise, the phone is great!

Thank you. Yes, that's what I've been using, in lieu of the stock app. In fact, I have tried a multitude of replacement apps (you name it, I've tried it). But for one reason or another, they all fall short in something. Textra is not very good on voice-to-text and if I have to send a text while driving, or a long text while golfing, it's something I can't easily do with Textra. But the stock app is excellent on voice-to-text. Also, the stock app uses fewer clicks to locate and attach pics & video. In fact, for my liking, the only thing the stock app misses on is the threading for received group messages. But that's a biggie. Nothing worse than watching a football or basketball game remotely and texting a group of friends, and while you can send out your text in a group text, everyone's replies keeps showing up in a separate individual threads. Their replies (intended for the group) are then mixed in with private text conversations you've previously had with that same person. Ughhh!

Not sure what you mean. By "last release of Samsung" do u mean the latest version of the stock app? I tried to update it and the phone would not recognize that app as being able to manually update. If you mean update to marshmallow, I already have version version 6.0.1

Go into messaging app, hit more (top right corner) then settings, then more settings, them multimedia messages and make sure group conversation is ticked on and I also have auto retrieved ticked on, all other features are turned off. That's what fixed it for me, mine was the same way as yours before I changed those settings, it was very annoying! All is well now!

Re the battery status what do you mean?
Re the Widget - I did think of that but I wasn't sure what value it would add ... you mean to more easily launch it?
What I *really* want to do is create a Tizen 5.0 complication so that people can place the launcher on their watchfaces ... hope Tizen 5 devices come out soon!

My reading of the Google Assitant terms of service is that it is for new hardware devices only, but I'd love to be told I'm wrong, since I'm pretty sure I've done a lot of the hard work with the low-level audio and http/2 connections already.

In the watch app you can swipe right to an empty screen. Why is this there?

Hello. Just bought the app from the GalaxyApps Store. However, every time I launch it from the watch, it gives me a new registration code. I enter it, I get the message saying it was successful and my registration is now complete. Then it happens all over again. What am I doing wrong?
Edit: OK, it seems to be fine now. On the 9th or 10th try, it stayed registered. I don't think I changed anything from one instance to another, so I couldn't tell you what caused the different outcome.

It shows visual feedback for some questions, such as "How deep is the ocean". I'll add an explanation on the page in the next release since you are not the only one who has asked about this.

Which phone and watch do you have? I know it does not show up in the iPhone Galaxy Apps because they do not list paid apps there .
If you have an S3 or Sport can you verify that you have the Tizen 4.0 update applied?
Also could you let me know what country you are in, and what country your account is registered to? I've enabled it for everywhere except China, but I've had someone from Costa Rica that was not able to find it either.
I'm still trying to find my way around the Samsung store.

AFAIK you can't use Alexa to write and send voice messages ... the app doesn't "know" anything about your Watch or Phone ... it just provides Alexa functionality (general questions, home device control etc.). It should support any language that Alexa supports .. the language it uses depends on the Amazon account you use to sign up. Definitely English, German and Itialian .... but all should work (if Amazon Alexa supports them).

The Google Play app allows us to manage our beta programs but have you ever wanted to participate in a limited number beta program?
(The most common examples are WhatsApp, Facebook, Android Auto and LinkedIn, at least for my country, Italy)
Every time you have to go to Google Play and see if you can access the beta program.
A few years ago (even before the Google Play app had a section dedicated to the quick view of our beta programs in which we participate) I had developed an app, for private use, to overcome this problem, and after adding some small personalization and options I would also like to make it available to this community.
The app is now available on Google Play, contains ads and subscription (subscription remove ads and unlock the auto join feature).
People who bought the old "remove ads" in-app purchase is premium user for life now (no need to subscribe to get the new auto join feature, thanks for the support.
At the moment the app is available different languages, but if you want to participate in the translation you can download the xml file at the second post.

Q- Why should I use this app instead of Beta Checker or Beta Lister or any other similar app?
A- The first one does not check anything, you have to manually go in Google Play and share the link with the app, which is pretty useless, once you are in Google Play you can directly see if there is a beta and can join or leave from Google Play itself.
The second (which I cannot find the link anymore, probably the dev just removed it from Google Play, at least in my Country) does lists from the installed apps the ones which have a beta version (using the dev cookie, or an alt account) but it is almost useless, because if a beta is available in US does not mean it is available in other countries. And you cannot take action anyways, you need to go in Google Play (app or web) to join the beta. Using the dev cookie means that the app is not aware of your joined betas too.
Q- I don t trust the Google form for sign-in, why don' t you use official Google Sign In API?
A- Google Sign in API generates a token for third party backends to auth the user. The problem is that Google Play does not have API for third party developers to auth users.
Q- Why there is no auto sign-in or Google sign-in?
A- Currently you are not signin-in to Beta Maniac, you are signin-in to Google, and the eventual token you get using those facilities is not spendible in Google Play. What the app does is the same thing you would do manually, no API used.
Q- I don t want to sign in then, what can I do?
A- Simply do not use the app.
Q- Why cannot sign-in even if my connection is good?
A- Check out if you are on a VPN or custom DNS network. If so disable it and login.
Q- Does the app collects any data?
A- The app collects anonymous data (phone model, android version, country) for analytics purpose and crash reports, handled by Google using Firebase.
Q- The app was completely free, why now there are ads and I have to pay to turn them off?
A- Because the most of users complained and rated one star for no real reason. You had it for free, the only thing you had to do was keep the app average rating high enough to be considered a good app, but you didn' t. You had even the chance to donate, only 30-35 people did (and they will not see any ads now).

If not already contributed, here's the french translated strings file.

If I may report that small issue :
Despite using XDA adfree version of your very welcomed app, I noticed it couldn't get past the post log-in screen (got No connection / Try again - with no avail') if device is connected with ad-blocking private DNS on Android 9+) or to a router set with ad-blocking DNS.
No biggy but took quite some time to figure out the reason.
You might want to change that or add a message to let users know their ad-blocker prevents the app from going further.
After initial set up though, it's working fine with or without DNS ad-blocking.
VPN usage was not an issue for me, only DNS level ad-blocking.
(Tested with v1)

Wow nice! I added a new string (forgot to upload newer one). Could you translate it on the fly?
No connection, if you are using a VPN or a custom DNS you will not be able to login. Disable it and try again

Just wished to help by clarifying.
(IMO however, having to turn a VPN or a custom DNS setting off, even temporarily, should not be forced on any user for doing so given the privacy implications some might want to maintain)

oh man, when there s an apostrophe you shoul escape the apostrophe like in "I have" "j/'ai". As soon as I complete to escape the apostrophe i will attach the translated version and credits to you for help

Sorry this caused you such trouble. I just can't avoid using french correctly though.. (yeah we can be PITAs for many things ?, I know.) I mean, without the apostrophe, it's not proper french so hoping to see them in displayed text for french locales.

Hello I've installed 1st apk on my Redmi Note 3 pro (Kenzo) MIUI 10 with Android 6.0.1 .
The app crashes instantly. Also installed 2nd apk but it gives same problem.

thanks for reporting. as soon as the crash logs are available on my console i will fix and update the app as well

lol, nope, I didn t mean that, just saying that there s a correct way to use apostrophe in xml. I uploaded the app with your translation, go check everything is fine.

Oh, that. Well, sorry anyways : I used Solid Explorer to do that while commuting before even testing your app prior to doing so.
(Also, I don't know what that correct way of using them is in XML, is this its ASCII character that should be used ?)
I checked quickly without deleting app's data so don't know about initial setup text.
But there's a typo :
"Bêtas fermée uniquement" should be "Bêtas fermées uniquement"
There's also a setting title I imprecisely translated :
"Liste des filtres" should be "Filtrer la liste" to actually be meaningful.
Spotted the "system" choice related to the theme settings in the strings but can't yet see it in the app.
Finally, I spoke too soon as for the VPN/DNS issue :
It indeed prevents from entering any app's beta program page setting in the app but Scans can and will be performed normally.
I do reiterate my previous statement regarding having to disable either or both in order for your app to work. It's a radical setup change impacting all apps for just one to work normally..

fixed the strings. Anyway no, it s not an ascii problem, it s just the android requirement to put slashes before apostrophe. I use a normal network, so I didn t figured out this problem before today, I know that only by feedbacks. I ll upload the app with translation fixed
