full html with pictures and download attachments like safari.. in hd2

i don't know if anyone is in the same boat as i am.. but don't u guys think that the email in the hd2 is a junk.. we can't view the attachment and don't have the option to download like you'd have in the iphone.. the way the inbox is laid out is pretty messy.. i wish they made a safari mail for this phone.
does anyone know if there is an app to replace the current email app in the hd2.
i'm running the US version. manila version: 2.5.2012xxxxx

I don't know what you are using, but on my HD2, Pocket Outlook displays HTML just fine with picture (after telling it to display external pictures and allowing horizontal scroll) and I can download any attachment, just click on it and it will download in the background.

I agree, iPhone version of my Gmail is was sooo much better. Why can't it automactially d/l the HTML? Why do i have to click to 2 links for it to do it? Sometimes it still won't d/l it.

My question is: can I open and view directly the attachment in the browser, instead of save it on a folder? For example, can I click and open a .pdf file without saving and opening it with Adobe Reader?

Well Just installed it and its not what it used to be.
It used to have the function to check flights by flight number this seems to be gone. You could also pick a departure and arrival airports and dates and it would show you all the different flights you could take, again gone.
The weather forcast is nice but could do with a widget.

I just can not find it in the Market even trying to scan the barcode. No use! Is there any other way to get it?

When I tried to search for a hotel in Amsterdam it show me only one hotel whatever my search criteria was. Strange!!!
Flight search is a big loss. I totally agree.

In my opinion it would be very hard to perfect something like this.
And they may have put more information on one country and just left little for another.
Which is quite careless if they have done that.
I may try and test it later if I can find the .apk file format and install on my phone.
Will give my review on this application later.

Try the apk from page 1. It must be for 1.6 since the day that it showed up, 2.1 update wasn't distributed.

I prefer the Symbian version than this.....

Agreed. This Worldmate version is a pale shadow of the previous versions. I uninstalled it.

Gear S2 Clock Face Request

I believe I've looked almost everywhere, and after a couple hours looking I give up and decided to ask:
On my GEAR S I have a clock face with the basics: Time in big bold numbers a the top, followed below in smaller fonts: Notifications count, Calendar (or agenda, whatever) count and weather.
It also has a short description of what's coming up for me: Next meeting (for instance: (Staff meeting 0800-1200))
I'm a Safety Manager (OSHA, on military installations) and that's all I need to get through the day. I just bought this S2 and LOVE IT, but I can't seem to locate a clock face that tells me everything I need at a glance.
Ideas?
Thanks, guys and gals. NICE WORK on what you do have available, and it looks like most of them are a lot of HARD WORK too!

Right now this is impossible to accomplish with the gear watch designer. Maybe in a future update, it can be done. But as for now, the options just aren't available without making a whole stand alone program to run on the phone so you can display weather and all the various notifications.

they only OPEN apps. you cannot display weather, notifications, etc.

Thank you. A veritable Gold Mine of watch faces. With that being said I searched through all 11 pages and did not find a single watch face that displays the weather or notifications or otherwise on the home face.
Please believe me when I say I am not trying to be argumentative. I am just dying (figuratively) to learn how to incorporate these complications directly on the watch face instead of tapping to open the Weather or notification app. The complications in GWD are really limited.

Its coming very soon I have direct contact with Samsung UI designer , so you will see my faces with these type of requests coming soon, sorry we cant do this sooner there is of course the SDK coded versions on the store until then.

Gear S3 screen timeout - Altimeter

Hi All
I want to use my Gear S3 for paragliding. Does anyone know of anyway to have the Altimeter stay on screen without timing out? I need to have it on screen for the duration of the flight which could be 1-2hrs.

I've requested the ability to keep an active app open until manually closed, and i suggest you do the same.

Your link doesn't work for me. I'm in Spain, and the link just brings up a page with a message in Spanish offering to redirect me to Galaxy apps. No other option, so I accept that and it does indeed open the Galaxy Apps store on my phone - but just at the home page. I need to know the name of your app so I can search for it on there. Can you please therefore confirm the name of your app?

it's called "I Am Alive"
most likely the app isn't available for your region, so your galaxy apps app opens the main page instead.

Thanks. I searched for "I Am Alive" in the Galaxy appps store and found it without difficulty, and have downloaded it. Thanks heaps. Just shows, for marketing and practical reasons it's always a good diea to state the actual name of your app whenever you refer to it.

Hi everyone,
The main reason I got this watch was to use as a secondary alti whilst skydiving. I chose it based on the fact that I could use the app to keep the app open.
I tested it during a jump today and unfortunately the watch was still going back to sleep after 2 or 3 minutes. Have Samsung updated the OS to prevent wakelock of any type or something? Has anyone got a workaround or an alternative app?
Alternatively, does anyone know of an android wear OS app method to do this? I may have to refund the S3 and switch to the Huawei watch 2 if I can't get this working unfortunately. It would be a shame if I had to, its a beautiful smart watch (although I have found it to be very limited in certain ways).

Tizen 4.0 for the Gear Sport has arrived!

The title says it all.
Changelog for our watch:
Samsung Health - Support various indoor workouts and back-to-back workout.
Samsung Health Widget - Samsung Health Widget now also supports and provides sleep stages information.
Advanced - Two advanced modes (Theater, Sleep) are added to keep user from disturbance during specific time and place. Modes can be toggled from quick panel.
Quick Panel - Newly added quick settings. Easier and faster interaction.
Messages - Draft messages can now be saved. Additionally, showing MMS image on notification cover view and animated messages are automatically played. Replying is now quicker and easier. Over 1,000 emojis supported.
Music - User can change to different music play source on Watch instead of using a Phone.
Setting menu - Improved categorizing of menus for better dicovery of features and items.
Things I've noticed so far that are new and not included in the official changelog (Tizen 4 perks):
You can now toggle whether to take or not screenshots by pressing and holding the power button and swiping the screen from left to right, inside a Settings menu.
New permissions management: When you open an app that requires Storage permission or Microphone permission, those will be asked to you directly instead of instantly granted (basically like since Android 6.0+).
Permissions can be managed straight from Settings > Apps > Permissions.
Sliding down the Quick Settings menu feels a ton lot smooooooooooother.
Another really awesome feature is the ability to read not just the most recent from your messaging apps, like before, but also being able to read any previous messages in a really nice chat bubble view. Check out the last attached image as example.

CSC is the country code that your watch or Samsung phone comes with. It defines the preloaded apps, and the updates it should receive but it's easily changeable. XAR is the region, which is a generic USA one.

I did it just now. Changed CSC to XAR and got 2 updates. one 10mb and another 299mb.

The post literally above yours says it.
No, the My Day watchface has remained as a Galaxy Watch exclusive.
Same goes for Bixby.

I've posted a poll to see how many of us are enjoying the update and/or who dislikes or hates it! Let the voting begin...

They removed ("discontinued") the 24hr log widget with this update. That's pretty disappointing, it was a really cool view.
